Bible Verse of The Day – 4-1-24

Psalm 46:1 (NKJV) 46 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

When we face difficult times, there are many places or people we can turn to in search of help.

And some of those people or places will go to great lengths to help us.

But there is no help like the help we find in our God.

People can offer us only what they understand, or what they know from personal experience.

Sometimes their help is remarkably good.

Human compassion is incredible. It is something that God has instilled in us, His creations.

But when push comes to shove, God alone holds the perfect answers.

His caring and compassion far exceed what we humans can offer.

His understanding is exceedingly higher than ours.

And His ways transcend human logic and intellect.

So, as we face trials, dangers and difficulties in life, let us do as David did; reach out to the One who holds the perfect answers.

And let Him give us that peace that surpasses all understanding.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-7-20

Exodus 15:26 (NKJV) 26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

God had spoken this to the Israelites after He delivered them from the hand of Pharaoh, in Egypt, where they were slaves for 400 years.

If they would diligently heed the voice of the Lord their God, if they would listen and do what He commanded them to do, He would spare them from all the diseases that He had brought upon the Egyptians. Wow!

In this verse, God refers to Himself as the Lord who heals. In Hebrew it is Yahweh Ropheka. Rophe means doctor!

He will keep them from physical diseases. How does He do this? Through divine prevention and/or cure.

He speaks to them and gives them the solution to be free and clear of diseases. He says, “listen, do what is right, and keep My statutes”.

Even though God was speaking to the Israelites, these are very important things to follow, even for us today.

God cares about us on a personal level. He is a personal, one on ONE Papa. He doesn’t want us sickly.

This doesn’t mean that we are guaranteed to never get sick. It means that as we follow Him and do what He leads us to do, we will have a type of divine protection that will keep us safe from the curses brought upon the world by their wickedness.

He is the Lord who heals…Yahweh Ropheka!

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-4-18

Psalm 17:8 (NKJV) 8 Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings…

It doesn’t matter what man says about us. As long as we know who we are and that what we are doing is right with God, man’s opinion does not make, shape or form us.

If man doesn’t understand us or what we do, they will usually try to argue with us or put us down for it. They will even go so far as to spread negative rumors about us.

Even our best friends will walk away from us if we aren’t doing things the way they think we should. That’s too bad, but that’s one of the many disappointments of man. Man is not always right in their ways. And their behavior at times should prove to us why we should go to God, first and foremost, for instruction, correction and encouragement.

God is our foundation. What He has to say about us and how we should stand is the most important thing for us to pay attention to.

Sometimes God will allow things, circumstances, to happen so that we may learn a lesson from the choices we’ve made without Him. We say, “why doesn’t God save us from our mistakes and errors? Why doesn’t He stop us before we get ourselves into trouble or before we bring destruction upon ourselves? “.

Believe me, if we are His child and we ask for Help, He will help us as much as we let Him. If He tried and we don’t listen, then He will not force us. He gives us a free will to choose; to choose our way over His.

His way is best, of course. But if we don’t get it right, and we miss it, we can’t just give up. Go to Him, ask Him for forgiveness and let Him help put your feet on the path He has for you.

We love you dearly and want God’s very best for you today. We know that if you walk in His way, you will be safe and protected under His wings.

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) 3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-30-18

Psalm 16:8 (NKJV) 8 I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

Many things in life will try to move us. Storms beat against us. Trials try to wear us down. People try to influence us.

Sometimes it can be hard to keep fighting and resisting. We can get downright tired.

But if we keep God always before us, He will keep us from falling. He will be our strength when we’re weak. He will be our rest when we’re tired. He will be our shelter from the storms. He will be our sustenance when we’re hungry.

Psalm 91:1-2 (NKJV) 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Keep God before us. And keep our eyes fixed on Him. We shall not be moved.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-22-17

Psalm 121:7-8 (NKJV) 7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Sometimes we think we are all alone. No one really knows what is going on inside us or how we feel. No one knows the things we come up against; those things we have had to deal with in our past, or continue to deal with now.

Sometimes it feels like no one cares.

That’s what the enemy would like for us to think. And if he can get us to believe it, he knows he can get us to give up. And if we give up, we will fail.

We want to remind you today that the great and MIGHTY King has you. He will preserve you. He will keep you safe from harm or injury. He will keep you from destruction if you will follow Him.

Don’t listen to the lies of the enemy any longer. Rebuke him in Jesus’ name. And claim the verse above over your life today. Amen!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-7-17

Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper. This is a promise directly from God’s word.

We are constantly in battle. We may not always see it, but it’s going on behind the scenes every minute of every day. It’s a battle in the spiritual realm. Darkness wars against light… evil trying to overcome righteousness.

The weapons used against us can vary greatly; words, accusations, temptations, sicknesses, etc. The enemy will use a broad range of things to try to bring us down and defeat us.

But, as children of God, we need to know and understand that, despite the enemy’s efforts, none of these things can defeat us, or “prosper” against us. They won’t separate us from God.

Yes, sometimes the weapons used against us can hurt. They can knock us down. They can push us back for a season. But, in the end, God will bring victory for us and the enemy will ultimately be defeated.

How do we have victory? How do we defeat the enemy when he rails against us?

We stay close to God. We stay in His word. We press in to Him. We rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus. And we follow His leading. By doing this, we protect ourselves, because He is our shield.

Proverbs 30:5 (NKJV) 5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

So, as we face these attacks, we need to remember that God is our shield. He is our protector and our strong tower. Run to Him.

Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV) 10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-14-17

Job 1:8 (NKJV) 8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

God Himself says that Job was blameless and upright. He feared God and shunned evil, meaning Job persistently avoided, ignored, or rejected evil.

Wow, I’d say he was disciplined and determined in wanting to live right and follow after God.

Of course, the devil didn’t agree. He thought that if God took away all of Job’s blessings that he would surely curse God to His face.

Job 1:9-11 (NKJV) 9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

That is exactly what the devil did. He took away all of Job’s blessings. Job lost his oxen, donkeys, sheep and camels. He lost all his servants and his sons and daughters. But in the end, Job remained faithful to God.

Why? Because his heart was pure and His love for God was real. Nothing overcomes real love.

Sometimes it’s good to do a self check. If we were to lose everything, would we still honor God? Would we stick with Him, or would we get angry and walk away from Him and all that He has taught us? Would we blame Him for all that happened and give up on life?

Life is not a bowl of cherries, so to speak. It comes with its trials, and we all go through them. Remember to remain faithful to God, our Restorer.

Job 42:10 (NKJV) 10 And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-17-16

Romans 14:8 (NKJV) 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

This verse brings great comfort in knowing that we are the Lord’s, for those who sincerely and truly believe in Him. We are His!

While we live here on earth and when we pass on, we are His. While we are here, He will guide us, protect us, carry us, lift us up, help us and provide for US as we trust in Him!!

No matter what, we belong to Him. He will be there for us.

John 1:12 (NKJV) 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

Enjoy your day knowing that you are the LORD’S! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-25-16

Exodus 4:19 (NKJV) 19 Now the Lord said to Moses in Midian, “Go, return to Egypt; for all the men who sought your life are dead.”

It’s funny how God will sometimes pull us out of something, only to bring us back in at another time.

We have to know that God knows man’s heart, their plans and agendas. Sometimes He may have to do a work in that person or situation and He needs us to be out of the picture for a while, for whatever reason.

It’s not up to us to question Him. It’s up to us to listen and follow, even when we don’t understand it.

Maybe down the road when things have worked their way out, and change has come, the time may come when it is safe for us to go back around.

In this case, Moses’ enemies had all died and it was now safe for him to return.

God knows the heart of man. He knows the agenda that may lie within them and He doesn’t want us to get hurt. He wants us safe and protected.

Remember that He knows better than we do in everything. Let Him direct us in and out of positions, places and situations.
