Bible Verse of The Day – 2-21-19

2 Corinthians 13:14 (NKJV) 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

We are truly blessed each day to be God’s children. He has set us up to walk in His blessings, His favor and His protection. He does not expect us to be alone while we journey in this world. It’s too much for us.

Communing with the Holy Spirit is an awesome and victorious way to walk out our day. He is there to help us. Some of the things that we go through in one day can be more than we can handle.

Having grace, love and the help of God’s Spirit is what it takes to get through it. What are we facing today that is taking all of our thoughts, our time and our labor?

If we want to get through it and move on, we need to make room for all three, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

It may be time to put aside our plan. It’s not working.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-19-19

Isaiah 50:7 (NKJV) 7 “For the Lord God will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.

Just talk alone doesn’t do much for us. We will be forever talking about the same things over and over again if we don’t take action and do something.

How many times do we hear ourselves or someone else say they are going to do this or do that, and many years later they are still in the same situation, saying the same thing?

Most times it is because the action that needed to be taken went no further than conversation. When we just talk about something, it stays right there. It doesn’t go any further. Unless we put those thoughts and creativity to the test, we are stagnant.

Is there something we need to step out into and take action on today? Have we talked about it until we are blue in the face? Is God prompting us to do something now?

Sitting back and talking about it is not going to do a thing. It’s time to take action and get God involved.

How do we move forward with these plans? We pray, asking God for His help and His guidance. We ask Him to open doors that we need to have opened for us, and for His favor to go before us.

Then we start to move toward the plans accordingly, one step at a time.

When we let God get involved, He will help us see things through to completion, as long as what it is we are doing, or want to do, is good for us.

He enjoys going through each step with us. He will help us over the hurdles and bring us through the valleys. He’ll give us strength or carry us over the mountain tops. He will do what it takes to help us.

If God is for it and it’s what He wants, we have no reason to stress or worry about anything.

When we set our face like a flint towards what God wants for us, nothing can stop us. If we let Him, He will see to it that things go right.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-2-18

Romans 8:31 (NKJV) 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

If you are feeling defeated today, you need to know that you are not alone. A lot of Christian people walk around with a smile on their face, talking the talk. But deep down they are feeling the same way, defeated and alone.

Sometimes the ones that we think have it all together are the ones who struggle the most.

Things aren’t always what they appear to be on the surface. We don’t know or understand what some people are facing. They too wrestle with thoughts and feelings of defeat.

We don’t even realize that the things we are going through, many times, are not our fault. We may not have done anything to cause them. Sometimes we are facing demons or principalities, spiritual attacks that have been sent out against us or others around us.

God will not let them win over us.

Colossians 2:15 (NKJV) 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

The important thing to remember is to keep your eyes on God and don’t let feelings of defeat take up residence in your heart. Oh, they will try to enter in, but we don’t have to let them stay there.

Look to God for your strategy or plan. And know that whatever it is that you’re battling, it shall pass and not do permanent damage or harm.

Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Stand firm and hold on to God’s promises and what He says about you.

Romans 8:37 (NKJV) 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-11-18

Psalm 29:11 (NKJV) 11 The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.

Each day is a new day. Some days will be better than others. We may wake up in a great mood, ready to enjoy our day, and shortly after we enter into it we find out it is not going to go the way we hoped that it would.

Things come up; things that we can’t predict or expect at times. We cannot control what happens all the time. It’s just part of life.

It’s great to remember on those days, and every day, that we are protected even in those moments when fear, stress, and anxiety try to take over. We have our Lord to run to. He will give us strength and the peace we need to get through whatever we’re facing.

Don’t waste time fretting. Go to Him. Let Him do His thing. He’s there for us! Amen.

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) 10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-23-17

1 Samuel 17:33 (NKJV) 33 And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”

The right people around us at the right time will make a huge difference in doing the right things, so we can get the job done.

When God brings us help, we need to take it. We don’t need to try and figure it all out. We need to take the help He gives us and work with it.

Sometimes we miss what God is doing because we don’t like the ones He brings around us to help us out. But, those very ones have exactly what we need.

David was the man for the job. God had chosen him. But Saul took one look at him and said “what? You are too young!”.

We should never turn our noses up or ignore the help God brings us. And we shouldn’t resist the way He wants to do things or the people He wants to use.

For instance, Saul thought David was too small and didn’t have the experience to battle Goliath and win. But David had what it would take.

God knew that they needed David to get the job done because David’s heart was in the right place. David rebuffed Saul and told him that he trusted in God to deliver him in this battle.

1 Samuel 17:37 (NKJV) 37 Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”

Most times it is a heart thing. And God knows the heart of man.

Let Him bring in the help. Stop trying to think that just because we may have faced similar things in the past that we’ve got this on our own.

The right people at the right time will have a huge impact on getting the job done. Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-26-17

John 5:8 (NKJV) 8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”

Have you ever heard the saying, “you made your bed, now you have to lay in it”? Not only do we think we have to lay in it, we may even try to drag others in to lay in that bed with us. You know, come keep us company. Supposedly misery loves company. Sometimes we even get comfortable in our misery.

Well, apparently Jesus doesn’t feel that way!

As a matter of fact, He would rather have us get up, get out of that bed and walk away.

So many times we think our mess is too much. There is no way we can turn it around. So we just lay there for days, months and even years. How much of our life do we waste, believing that it is what it is?

We need a little brotherly love reminder today.

We may be absolutely correct in the fact that the mess we made is too much for us to fix. But, we don’t do this alone. We do this with our Helper, the Holy Spirit.

John 14:16 (NKJV) 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever

He has been offered to each one of us NO matter how bad we messed things up. What are we going to do?

Just as the man needed to take a huge step of faith, pick up his bed and walk, we too need to do the same if we want to see change, if we truly want healing, deliverance and to be set free.

It’s up to us. Will we rise up and walk?

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-22-17

Isaiah 35:3 (NKJV) 3 Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees.

When things happen that we have no control over, we can’t keep trying to act like we are in control. We need to let God have it. Lay it down at His feet and let Him take it.

To continue to try and fix something that is not ours to fix will simply drain us and take away all the strength we need for the things that He does have for us to deal with.

Are we wondering today why we are so tired and our strength has been stripped from us? We have to learn to ask God for help and stop trying to do everything on our own.

Strength will come when we ask God to help us and then let go of that thing we thought was ours to carry.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-2-17

Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV) 121 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

So many times, when we hit tough times or run into a problem, we tend to look everywhere but to God for the answer or the solution.

For some odd reason, we always leave God out until He becomes a last resort. We tend to think of Him only after exhausting all other possible options.

But God wants to change all of that. He wants us to learn and grow to understand that we should be looking to Him first!

Going to God first can be tough to learn when we first start. We get so used to depending on ourselves or others for help that it’s kind of a knee-jerk reaction each time we face a tough situation or circumstance.

But the longer we take before surrendering to God and asking Him for His help and His solution, the longer it will be until we have the right answers to our questions and the right solutions for our problems.

The key is that we learn to put God first in absolutely everything we do and every choice that we make. As we learn to do this, we will find ourselves trusting Him more and more and find ourselves in less problematic situations.

And when we do run into something that requires help, we will instinctively turn and look to God for that help, instead of spinning our own wheels or running to our friends.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-21-16

John 14:26 (NKJV) 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Have we been trying to do everything ourselves? Has our life been made up of everything that we know to do on our own power, using our own understanding? Have we ever once given God the OK to lead us in accomplishing anything?

How will we ever see God’s hand, His miracles, blessings or breakthroughs if we are always leaving Him out?

Well, we say, “God gave us a brain”. Yes, He definitely did. But there are times that the brain needs help. Where did the brain get Adam and Eve the day they ate the fruit and were kicked out of the garden (Genesis 3:1-7 NKJV)?

Where did that brain get Samson when Delilah shaved his head and took his power (Judges 16:16-20 NKJV)?

Where did that brain get David when he saw Bathsheba, another man’s wife, bathing on the rooftop and committed adultery with her? (2 Samuel 11: 2–4 NKJV)?

When it comes to temptation, the brain is weak. The brain needs the help that God has offered to us. It needs the strength, wisdom, power and understanding of the Holy Spirit. It needs to be able to push back temptation and say NO!

God’s Spirit will help us in every situation.

Many of us have fallen at different times because we were too stubborn, ignorant or full of pride, and we didn’t ask God for His Helper.

Get help today. Ask God for His Helper, the Holy Spirit, to help us and guide us in all things; even those things we think we can handle. Amen!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-30-16

Proverbs 12:1 (NKJV) 12 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid.

One of the things I have learned is that just because someone doesn’t always agree with me, or they may carry themselves differently than I do, it doesn’t mean that I can’t learn from them. I shouldn’t just exclude them and push them away immediately because of our differences.

Listening and learning is a big part of how we grow. We grow stronger and wiser by paying attention to those that may be a little different than us.

We can win battles at times if we listen to the right people and learn from them. Sometimes we look at people and think, “well, so and so made this mistake so they are not going to tell me how to how to live my life. Look what happened to them, look what they’ve been through. How can they teach me anything?”

Exactly. They walked through it. That is how we learn from each other. By simply walking through things and learning, we will come out with a lesson.

If someone has been through something similar to what we are going through and they came out of it, then they just might have the very answer we need.

There may be someone in our life today that God wants to use to help us win a battle. They have walked through the fire and they have the experience.

Their appearance or credentials may not be exactly what we would expect, but they can help us a great deal. Maybe because we don’t want to see eye to eye with them, we don’t think that they should be the ones to teach us. Boom!

It’s not up to us to always know where our help, answer or teaching will come from.

One thing to remember is that David brought the giant down! Who would have expected a boy to do this? But God knew David and knew he would be the one to do the job.

He knows who we need to help us at times; someone we can learn from. We can’t be so quick to say NO to the help that God brings.

Be open and patient and in time we will see.

1 Samuel 16:7 (NKJV) 7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-31-15

Psalm 62:7 (NKJV) 7 In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.

Because God is our salvation, we can be assured that He will protect us, help us, guide us, carry us, hold us, care for us, preserve us, deliver us, heal us and strengthen us in any given situation.

Living day to day, we will have good days and not so good days. We will have some fun and exciting moments! We will face obstacles and have to jump over some hurdles at times. It’s all part of living in this world and everyone will face their own victories, struggles and trials.

The one that wins is the one that chooses Christ to help them live in this world.

He has overcome this place that we live in; all of it. And He has the answers for us to be overcomers!!

John 16:33 (NKJV) 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Stay close to Him. Don’t look to the right and don’t stray to the left. His peace will guide us through everything we face, if we let it.
