Bible Verse of The Day – 1-18-22

Matthew 7:1 (NKJV) 7 “Judge not, that you be not judged.

The one thing we can learn not to do is judge others. How do we tell ourselves not to judge, and then follow through with it?

There is a way, and that is to remember and keep at the forefront of our minds that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

All of us have done things. And some of us continue to do things that are disturbing or sinful.

Some sins may seem bigger than others to us in our minds. But in God’s eyes, sin is sin.

Knowing and always remembering who we are and why we need salvation will keep us from judging or being so hard on  others.

Sometimes we need to know about a person’s situation, so we know where they are coming from. This may sometimes change our perspective, and help keep us from judging them incorrectly.

Let’s be careful that we are not judging and talking about others just because they may be a little different than what we would expect them to be.

We all have our sins and we all need to be forgiven for some things most days.

Bless and pray for our brothers and sisters, and even those that are difficult to be around. They need Him too. Amen.

James 5:16 (NKJV) 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-30-16

Proverbs 12:1 (NKJV) 12 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid.

One of the things I have learned is that just because someone doesn’t always agree with me, or they may carry themselves differently than I do, it doesn’t mean that I can’t learn from them. I shouldn’t just exclude them and push them away immediately because of our differences.

Listening and learning is a big part of how we grow. We grow stronger and wiser by paying attention to those that may be a little different than us.

We can win battles at times if we listen to the right people and learn from them. Sometimes we look at people and think, “well, so and so made this mistake so they are not going to tell me how to how to live my life. Look what happened to them, look what they’ve been through. How can they teach me anything?”

Exactly. They walked through it. That is how we learn from each other. By simply walking through things and learning, we will come out with a lesson.

If someone has been through something similar to what we are going through and they came out of it, then they just might have the very answer we need.

There may be someone in our life today that God wants to use to help us win a battle. They have walked through the fire and they have the experience.

Their appearance or credentials may not be exactly what we would expect, but they can help us a great deal. Maybe because we don’t want to see eye to eye with them, we don’t think that they should be the ones to teach us. Boom!

It’s not up to us to always know where our help, answer or teaching will come from.

One thing to remember is that David brought the giant down! Who would have expected a boy to do this? But God knew David and knew he would be the one to do the job.

He knows who we need to help us at times; someone we can learn from. We can’t be so quick to say NO to the help that God brings.

Be open and patient and in time we will see.

1 Samuel 16:7 (NKJV) 7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
