Bible Verse of The Day – 7-17-26

Isaiah 55:9 (LSB) 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.

As we have shared over the years, we have seen God move on our behalf more times than we can count.

We have watched in awe as He took what appeared to be disastrous and turned it into a mighty display of His power, proving that His ways are higher than our ways.

He showed us repeatedly that what we thought was an answer or solution was only human logic; that He had answers that defied our logic and gave results that transcended human thinking.

And who were we to question Him when we witnessed His sovereignty so blatantly on display?

We tell you this today, not to boast or brag. We are not special or privileged.

We are ordinary human beings who have chosen to follow God wholeheartedly no matter the cost or the consequences.

And in doing so, we have allowed Him to move on our behalf when our logical minds were terrified of what we were walking through, sure that there was no help for us.

Has this decision cost us?

Yes. It has.

As a result, we have walked through some very difficult things that have squeezed us in ways we had never expected nor requested.

We have been persecuted, singled out, and pushed out.

Yet, by God’s strength, and by choosing to unwaveringly follow His leading, we have endured and walked in victory despite the hurdles, despite the persecution, and despite the feeling of impending doom that we sometimes experienced.

And through it all, we have seen miracles, deliverance, and healings; things that we could never have imagined.

Why? Because we chose to stick, and to stand when it would have been easier to walk away.

This is a journey of love; love for God, love for His people, and love for truth, no matter the cost.

God is calling you as well, to your own journey of faith, trust, and consequences.

We encourage you to embrace it wholeheartedly, and watch what God can do when we surrender to Him in every aspect of our lives.

Buckle up and enjoy the journey!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-16-26

Genesis 2:24 (NKJV) 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

As we celebrate my husband’s 64th birthday today, I am feeling very blessed and thankful for God bringing us together, and having such a precious life with him by my side.

We are so very blessed to have been through many wonderful seasons of life and being able to share them with each other.

As you all know, in any marriage there are good times, and hard times. But no matter what season we were in, it has been exciting to make it to the other side together. Is it challenging at times? Absolutely!

But, with God at the head of our marriage, we learned, we grew, and we became stronger as a couple.

We have truly become one throughout the years, and it is the most beautiful experience one could have ever wanted.

Be blessed in your marriage today, yes, in the good seasons and in the hard ones!

He is faithful to get you to the other side!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-15-26

Matthew 6:31-32 (LSB) 31 Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32 For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

There is something about learning godly contentment that goes far beyond what words can describe.

Jesus taught us in the verses above that we should not worry about what we will eat, or what we will wear.

And if you think about it, those are the things that people worry about most often; food and clothing.

We fret constantly about them. They are the things that are most important for our survival.

And yet, for all the times when we have fretted and worried, how many times have we been without?

As David said in Psalm 37:25, I was young, but now I am old.

I was once young. I am now no longer young.

And one thing that I can say with complete confidence is that God is faithful.

We have walked through some devastatingly difficult times in our lives, and we can proclaim truthfully and boldly that we have never gone without.

God has always supplied our needs.

And in that, we have learned to be content, whether we have had little or much.

He has taught us that treasure does not lie in earthly material possessions, but in trusting Him and valuing godly contentment over everything.

So, we say to you, “trust God’. Learn to be content. And stop worrying about what you will eat, drink, or wear.

Be content. Trust Him. And watch Him move on your behalf 🙏🏻

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-14-26

Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) 6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Children want to know the truth.

It’s up to us to give it to our children; to train them up in knowing who God is and what He did for us.

Not only do they want to know, they need to know God’s plan. His plan of redemption through His son, Jesus Christ, One man, who gave His life to save the entire world.

No child should ever feel they are alone. Every child needs to hear that God is there for them.

He can make our lives in this wicked place, earth, to be very rewarding if we follow Him!

He will help us make it through life when we face difficult battles, teaching us how to handle situations that could very well take us out.

Our children need to know about our Heavenly Father, our Savior, Jesus Christ, and Helper, the Holy Spirit. The whole truth and nothing but the truth!

He will walk daily with our children as we teach them, even at a young age, to seek Him.

Psalm 63:1 (NKJV) 1 O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-13-26

2 Timothy 1:9 (NLT) 9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was His plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

There are many things we could study in this verse today. It contains many spiritual gems, to be sure!

But let’s focus on one thing in this verse today; God’s grace toward us.

This verse starts out by reminding us that God has saved us and called us to live a holy life; a life set apart (consecrated).

And we are also reminded that He didn’t do this because we deserved it or earned it.

On the contrary, we deserved anything but God saving us.

But then we are told that God did this as part of His plan since the beginning of time to show us His grace!

You see, despite ourselves, God chose to save us so we could see His grace in action, not just from a distance, but up close and personal.

And that, my friends, is truly remarkable; a miracle in plain sight transforming us on a day-to-day basis.

Sometimes we tend to look far too deeply. We search for miracles elsewhere. We strive to accomplish things in our lives that God never meant for us to try to accomplish.

We wish our lives away in search of something elusive; something we were never meant to find or attain, thinking that we must achieve or find this thing to prove our faith or to prove God’s existence in our lives.

But all the while He is right there in our face, trying to show us who He is by His grace and mercy over our lives!

It is why He chose us and saved us!

His grace is all over our lives in more ways than we can imagine. We just fail to recognize it because we’re looking elsewhere, for things we were not meant to look for.

We must learn to recognize His grace in our lives if we are to appreciate it and give Him the honor and glory that is due Him 🙏🏻

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-11-26

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV) 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

What’s important here?

The word “humble”.

You see, prayers are powerful when we are in a place of humility. They are much more sincere and meaningful prayers.

Maybe there are a lot of things that have happened to us this year, or or maybe in past years, and we are upset because we never seem to get ahead.

But know that with hard times comes humility if we persevere and don’t give up.

Romans 8:25 (NKJV) 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

When we have been through the fire, most times we will come out humbled, knowing that God saved us. For with Him, nothing is impossible!

Humility before Him will bring answered prayers and victory!

Luke 1:37 (NKJV) 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”

I know, it’s not always easy to stick it out because our human nature says, “get out of here, run, run far away”.

And sometimes, that’s just what we want to do; get somewhere where we don’t feel the pressure or stress of what we are facing.

I tell you today, don’t run!

Humbly come before God, cry out and tell Him what you are facing. He will bring healing to your land.

“Then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-10-26

Ephesians 6:13 (NKJV) 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Many people look at Christians as being weak.

They believe that Christianity, faith in Christ, is for weak people; people afraid to walk life out on their own.

They view our faith as a crutch.

What they fail to recognize is that walking with Jesus takes more strength than living life dictated by our flesh and the ways of the world.

Conforming to the world is easy. It requires no moral fortitude or willpower.

It requires no conviction when making decisions.

It requires only that we follow the crowd, doing whatever comes easy or feels good at that moment.

Following Christ, on the other hand, requires grit, determination, and perseverance no matter what we face.

This takes discipline and a reliance on the Holy Spirit to give us the willpower to resist temptation and the evil that wants us to cave in.

This is rarely easy. And there may be times when we fail.

But, as the scripture above says, we must put on the whole armor of God that we may withstand, and when we have done all, to STAND!

That’s a strong statement that implies doing whatever is necessary to overcome evil.

But God has equipped us with everything we need to do that successfully.

We have the Holy Spirit, His Word, and salvation by faith through the blood of Jesus.

So, let us learn to do whatever is necessary to do battle in the spirit, standing bold and strong in the face of the enemy, resisting him on every front.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-9-26

Psalm 37:4 (NKJV) 4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

So many think this verse is all about God blessing us with our own wants and needs.

Sometimes, while we are waiting on God, we may become frustrated and want to give up because nothing is happening.

We may feel like He is not listening to us. Some may even walk away from God or grow hard in their hearts toward Him.

But, when we truly delight ourselves in Him, our will begins to align with His and our desires begin to change.

Things that we used to desire will fade, and our heart will shift to wanting His desires.

By the time we reach this point in our walk, our hearts are ready for just about anything He wants to throw at us.

We have reached a point where our joy now comes from being closely connected with Him, our stability comes from Him, and our focus is all about Him!

Let us focus on delighting ourselves in Him, not on what we can get from Him. And let our purpose shift to growing closer and being more in love with Him!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-8-26

Philippians 3:12-14 (LSB) 12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself as having laid hold of it yet, but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Do we spend countless hours looking at and watching other believers, feeling like they have it all together in their walk with God, while our relationship with Him seems weak and impotent?

Does it seem like we never reach a point where we feel satisfied with that relationship?

This is something we all wrestle with from time to time.

We look at others, comparing ourselves to them, when God wants us to look to Him instead of comparing ourselves to others.

We are each created uniquely. No two of us are the same.

We all wrestle with different things. We all have different weaknesses and strengths.

And our walk with God will reflect this as we work our way through the things that God is teaching us.

We must understand that none of us will ever attain perfection on this side of heaven.

There has only ever been one perfect Man; Jesus Christ.

And that Man (God in the flesh) died in our place on the cross, so we aren’t burdened with working to perfect ourselves in the flesh.

Jesus promised us a Helper; the Holy Spirit who would guide us into all truth. And it is by following His leading that we draw nearer and nearer to Christ.

It is not our responsibility to seek or work to try to attain perfection.

Instead, it is our responsibility to follow Jesus closely; closely enough to allow Him to change our heart, transform our thinking, and direct our choices and actions.

It is in this that our life will begin to take shape as His disciple, not to become perfect, but to live in a way that pleases Him.

That is our goal; pleasing Him

And remember, even the Apostle Paul spoke plainly in the verse above about this in his own life, proclaiming that he had not “laid hold of it yet”.

We must not seek perfection. But we must seek and develop a willing and submissive spirit.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-7-26

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 pray without ceasing…

How do we survive in this world?

Pray, pray, and pray some more.

I’m not kidding; this is our answer. Praying without ceasing is key!

Just the other day, out on my bike ride, my heart was led into praising Him.

I wasn’t home. I wasn’t in my usual “prayer spot”. It wasn’t even my usual prayer time of the day.

No, it wasn’t. But my heart kicked in and began to sing praises to our Lord.

Don’t wait. If your heart is moved, let it flow.

Open up and go with the Spirit that wants to take hold of your tongue. He will lead and guide your prayers.

Today we may be lost for words and don’t even know what to pray for.

But that’s OK. God knows.

Let our heart join with Him. Maybe praise will come forth, or maybe prayers for your situation.

You may even begin to pray in tongues and not know who or what you are praying for. It will be a mystery to you, but God will know as His Spirit will lead our tongue.

1 Corinthians 14:2 (NKJV) 2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.

He is faithful when we are WILLING to pray!
