Bible Verse of The Day – 6-4-14

Romans 8:31 (NKJV) What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Sometimes it can feel like the whole world is against you. There are days when it seems like it’s impossible to go on, hopeless to even think about tomorrow.

Things can come against us that can make us feel like the rug has been pulled from under our feet. We don’t even want to get out of bed in the morning and face another day.

But we’re here to tell you that nothing you’re facing is permanent! These things will not be the end of you. They Will Pass!

If you are a child of God, then He is for you. And if He is for you, who can be against you?

This doesn’t mean that we will have no enemies or no trials. It means that when our enemies rise up against us and when trials come our way, He will be there to guide us and support us, leading us through the darkness to victory.

Oh, we may have scars from the battle. This is true. There’s a reason why they call them “battle scars”. But there is nothing that God can’t heal and make new!

So we speak to you today, and we speak from experience, telling you boldly that if God is for you, there is no one who can successfully stand against you.

There is no weapon formed against you that can prosper. No plan that can prevail against you.

Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Lean on Him. Cling to Him. Cry out to Him. But most of all, TRUST HIM. Trust Him with every fiber of your being.

And stand strong in the face of adversity. Don’t give up. You Will Prevail!

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-3-14

Proverbs 15:18 (NKJV) A wrathful man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger allays contention.

Have you ever known someone who never seems to be happy unless they are stirring up trouble? Some people seem to thrive on it.

Many times people will carry anger or bitterness in their hearts from something that’s happened to them. Instead of dealing with it and moving beyond it, they hold onto it tightly, like it’s some kind of prize or something valuable.

While they’re holding onto it, it wraps itself around that person’s heart, causing it to become hard and bitter. And in their bitterness, these people do everything they can to try to make those around them bitter.

They’ll go to great lengths to try to get people into trouble for whatever they think they can get them into trouble for. And along the way, they will stir the pot, agitating everyone they possibly can.

Sadly, these people rarely listen to reason, and they surely won’t back down in a debate or a discussion!

So how do we deal with these types of people? We pray for them! We ask God to soften their heart. We ask God to bless them and shine His light down on them and help them to forgive those people who have hurt them.

And then we move on, believing that God will work in their lives however He sees fit to work, and trusting that God will cause them to cross paths with whomever they need to cross paths with to help them see the truth.

So if you know someone like this, have dealt with someone like this, or even if you’re like this, put it in God’s hands. Let Him do a work. He knows better than us what each person needs.

Bible verse of The Day – 6-2-14

(Proverbs 17:14 NKJV)  The beginning of strife is like releasing water; Therefore stop contention before a quarrel starts.

A while back, we were staying with some people. While we were there, they mentioned some problems they were having in their home and how it was getting way out of hand. There was constant bickering going on with each other and they didn’t know why.

That night when we went to bed, before falling asleep we prayed and sought the Lord. While praying we heard the word “contention.” So we began to rebuke it in the name of Jesus and prayed for God’s peace to come into that home.

It was about a week or so later, we called them to see how things were going and they said everything was much better. Praise be to God!

Contention is a hard thing to live with, and if we don’t deal with it, it will try to wreak havoc with everyone in the house. It will cause a lot of tension and stress.

(Proverbs 25:24 NKJV)  It is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.

(Proverbs 26:21 NKJV)  As charcoal is to burning coals, and wood to fire, So is a contentious man to kindle strife.

If  you feel there has been a lot of fighting going on in your home,  at work, in your dorm, in your church, etc., we want to stand with you today and agree to take charge of the atmosphere of that place for Jesus Christ. And we rebuke contention in Jesus’ name.

May God’s peace be with you wherever you go.  Amen.
