Bible Verse of The Day – 9-30-21

1 John 1:9 (NKJV) 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We need to be sure to take the time each day to get with the Lord. One, to confess our sins before Him and, two, to praise Him for forgiving us and cleansing us from all our junk.

We can’t forget to get ourselves straight before Him.

The works of this world will take our minds off the important things in life; those things that matter most to God. As Solomon would say, they are all vanity and grasping for the wind.

Ecclesiastes 1:14 (NKJV) 14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind.

We, as believers, must stay open to confession at all times. There is a constant battle within us. That battle is flesh against Spirit.

Our flesh will push us to no end, and if we let it, we will love what it is doing.

But, the Spirit will be there to convict us to stop and get ourselves right back on track.

It can be exhausting at times. But remember that as we confess, He is faithful to forgive us.

If we have gone a while without spending time and getting straight with Him, take this day and make things right. Take the time we need, and don’t let it linger.

That is the only way we will feel at peace, lightened and less burdened; by opening up, being honest, and confessing before Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-29-21

1 Kings 14:7-8 (NKJV) 7 Go, tell Jeroboam, ‘Thus says the Lord God of Israel: “Because I exalted you from among the people, and made you ruler over My people Israel, 8 and tore the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it to you; and yet you have not been as My servant David, who kept My commandments and who followed Me with all his heart, to do only what was right in My eyes;

There are many, many instances of us being told in God’s word how important it is to follow God’s laws, decrees and commands.

Let’s talk about that.

In its barest form, it would appear that God is simply asking us to strictly follow a set of rules and laws.

But if we look at the heart of this, it goes much deeper.

In reality, God is urging us (appealing to us) to give Him our hearts.

You see, God isn’t really concerned with a set of laws. Laws don’t change hearts or make us righteous. They just give us guidelines.

Simply following a set of guidelines will only create rituals and traditions. That is not what God wants.

If we look at the latter part of the verse above, God tells Jeroboam that David followed Him with all his heart.

That is what God wants; our whole heart.

Because David followed God with his whole heart, God honored him down through the generations.

There are powerful lessons for us to learn from this.

So, despite our faults & failures, let’s be sure to keep this at the forefront of everything we do; to follow God with all our heart.

And as we do this, God will also honor us, and our lives will be blessed because of it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-28-21

Matthew 13:23 (NKJV) 23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

This is our goal as believers; to bear fruit!

It’s important that we make a sincere effort to receive seed on good ground.

Why?

Because if we hear His word and understand Him, we will bear much fruit.

If we hear the word of God and we don’t understand it, the enemy will come and steal it from our hearts. That’s right, God’s word says he will snatch it right from our heart.

Matthew 13:19 (NKJV) 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

So, we must understand it.

And how do we do this? By letting the Holy Spirit help us.

He will go with us where ever we go. And He will bring conviction or awareness when needed. We just have to be sensitive to Him and He will guide us.

If we need wisdom at any time, God’s word says to ask Him for it!

Have we gotten out of the habit of going to God and getting our answers? This season we are in is one where we are going to be doing a lot of asking God for wisdom.

James 1:5 (NKJV) 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

We need to understand where we are going and what to do. We need to know what to say at times, and how to act in certain situations.

We need the Holy Spirit to help us reach nations.

Let us move with wisdom, with love and the grace of God. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-27-21

1 Samuel 17:45 (NKJV) 45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

David’s life was exemplary with regard to honoring God in everything he did.

Throughout his lifetime, he never strayed from God. Nor did he worship any gods other than the one, true God.

Yes, he sinned. He made some poor choices from time to time. But he always honored God and kept Him at the forefront of his life.

It was that quality in David that caused him to excel in everything he did for God.

He honored God at such a high level that he wouldn’t allow anyone to defy God or slander His name.

As David faced Goliath, take note of what he said; “I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied”.

And it was that faith in his God that carried him to victory in the face of odds that were not in his favor when viewed through natural eyes.

Children of God, we are at such a crossroads right now.

We are facing an enemy of massive proportions; a giant that appears undefeatable by natural standards.

That enemy is staring down at us, threatening to snuff us out and feed our flesh to the birds and the beasts, just as Goliath threatened to do to David

Who will we trust during this season of intense warfare?

Will we trust in man, or will we trust in our God?

This is a very important question that we need to seriously ponder and seek God on.

We are seldom forewarned of situations where we may need to make this choice. They come suddenly, so we need to be sure we are prepared for them at all times.

And the only way to do that is to stay close to God, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

Psalm 73:28 (NKJV) 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-26-21 – Who Do You Say That I Am?

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Speaking of Jesus, there’s a particular scripture where He asked Peter, “Who do you say that I am?”.

That’s also the title of our latest video, “Who Do You Say That I Am?”.

In this video, we teach about Peter’s understanding and revelation of who Jesus really was, and how that plays into our own lives, as believers.

This video gives some great insights about this, so we hope you’ll watch it!

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-25-21

Proverbs 13:2 (NKJV) 2 A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, But the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence.

The fruit of our mouths brings us provision.

What we eat will be determined by how we control what comes out of it.

If we want to live well, we’d better watch what we are saying and doing.

Our tongue is powerful. It makes our life simple or it makes our life hard. What will we choose?

Death and life are in the power of the tongue.

Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV) 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

We are seeing a lot of violence and corruption these days that can easily lead us into negative talk.

If we can find the good, and focus on that, it will help us to keep our heads up and our mouths speaking the right things.

We will reap from the fruit of our lips.

Don’t let these times and the tough seasons pull us into negativity. Look to the One who holds our future in His hands.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

We are not alone. We are not losing ground. We are simply dealing with corruption that needs to be exposed and addressed, and God knows how to address it.

Stay strong, and don’t fall in the hands of the unfaithful. Their way is not our way. They feed on violence. We feed on God’s Word, and the fruit from it is Amazing!! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-24-21

John 14:23 (NKJV) 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

We all long for God to love us.

Some of us try so hard to earn HIs love. Some wrestle with thinking we are never good enough for His love, and we feel like we are constantly failing Him.

I have learned over the years, though, that God is God!

His thoughts, His ways and His heart are much more than we could ever comprehend.

Do you know He loved us first? That’s right; first.

We didn’t do a single thing to make Him love us.

1 John 4:19 (NKJV) 19 We love Him because He first loved us.

Because of His love for us and what He did to save us, we love Him.

But we didn’t have to do anything for Him to love us.

He loved us right from the beginning; every one of us. Red, yellow, black and white, we are precious in His sight! Amen.

But if we want to show our love for Him, what does He say we will do? We will keep His word.

That simply means that, if we have put our faith and trust in Him, we live out His word in our daily lives. We walk it out for others to see.

What does He promise us if we do this? He will make His home in us!

Wow.

What else could we ever want?

God living in us each day.

That right there is more than this world could ever measure up to.

Why would we even care to obtain anything else? Why would we have idols in our hearts or put things before Him?

His love has always been there for us. Now we must tear down anything that stands in the way of us loving Him back.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-23-21

Matthew 13:9 (NKJV) 9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

The amount of Gods word that we take in and our willingness to obey it, will determine the fruitfulness of our walk.

We can go to church 24/7, be taught, and read the Bible day in and day out.

But if we are not willing to obey it and walk it out, we won’t be fruitful. We won’t plant or sow good seeds. We won’t shine bright. We won’t be helpful to the kingdom of God.

Our actions will let us know if we are paying attention and allowing God to change our heart.

Matthew 7:20 (NKJV) 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

It’s is our fruit that we need to pay attention to. Not others.

We need to know where we are at in our walk, and we need to stay accountable to Him, being careful to walk upright each day.

Psalm 143:10 (NKJV) 10 Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

God is faithful to teach. We just have to be willing to hear and obey. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-22-21

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Fear is a powerful thing. We teach about it frequently because it is critical that we recognize fear for what it is, and know how to stand against it.

With that said, we want to address the huge fear attack that has taken place over the last 18 months across the globe.

A spirit of fear has been used to rein people in and cause them to live their lives very apprehensively.

Some have spent the last year and a half hiding from society. Others have stopped seeing their family members. Some will no longer go to the stores or other places in public. Still others have stopped attending any kind of public gatherings.

All of this because of fear.

We need to stop letting fear control us. We need to recognize it for what it is and put it in its place.

We need to put on our best shoes and use them to stand firmly on the enemy’s neck, breaking it in the process.

Fear be gone, in the name of Jesus!

We are fearfully and wonderfully made. This doesn’t mean we should be fearful. Quite the opposite is true.

When the writer penned those words, he was conveying the incredible works of God.

We are complex in our being, made beyond our comprehension, by God’s mighty hand. The wonders of who He made us to be are far above anything we can truly understand.

Think about it. Our bones, muscles, nerves and organs work in perfect harmony to keep us alive. None of it was by chance. Everything in us is there for a specific reason, to perform a specific task.

That is what the Psalmist was referring to in Psalm 139:14 when he wrote those words.

So, in light of this, because we have been incredibly, intricately created, we should not let fear overtake us.

God is our Father. He has created us in a way that should make us confident in how He has equipped our bodies.

Our faith and trust in Him, along with the discernment that He teaches us to have, should help us to recognize the spirit of fear at work, and lead us to stand against it, binding it in the name of Jesus.

Fear be gone, in Jesus’ name!

Stand up and be free. Live like God is your Father, because if you have put your faith in Him through the blood of Jesus, He is!

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-21-21

Matthew 19:26 (NKJV) 26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

We are so very thankful today for each and every one of you. Thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit as He directs you in your giving to help this work at Seven Seas Ministries.

You have helped us reach the nations, day by day.

It is more than we ever thought we would do in a lifetime. And yet, here we are, doing just that, with your incredible help.

It’s a funny thing, because we don’t even want to know the number of people we reach, their location or even how we reached them. Because we know it is God, not us.

We are so grateful that He brought you alongside us to help. We could never do this on our own. Never.

Many years ago, when we decided to walk this call out. God gave us a vision. In this vision He showed us our home, right in the middle of a valley.

There were thousands of people all around the home. He told us, “they will take care of you and provide what you need”.

That was shocking, because we started out with just a few people receiving our emails.

How would it get to that point without Him? How, since we’ve never even met most of you face to face?

But guess what; with God, all things are possible!

You are connected to us through the Holy Spirit. We have never met most of you, but we are one in His Spirit. Those we have met, it seemed like we knew them all our lives.

What God is doing is amazing. We live in a miraculous situation every day, never knowing who will help us, or how it will happen, only trusting God to move on the hearts that will follow.

Thank you for listening. And not only that, but for taking action. You are doing a mighty work on this earth.

May He bless you, your home, work place and anything you touch. May you reap from the seeds you have sown out of obedience, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We love you all, and we are grateful, even if we have not met you yet. We will all be together some day, where we will celebrate our Miracle Maker!! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-20-21

James 1:13-15 (NKJV) 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

Some might look at this scripture and just brush over it, not giving it much thought. It seems pretty straight forward, after all.

But look more closely. In addition to telling us why we repeatedly fall into temptation, it also tells us something else very critical; God does not tempt us.

This single truth absolutely shatters the idea or suggestion that God made us in a way that causes us to habitually sin, become addicted to certain types of sin, or to live lifestyles that contradict His word.

Let me explain.

Some may say that God created them in a certain way, with certain desires or drives.

And since this is so, He must have also created the desire in them, for example, to consume extreme amounts of alcohol which led to them become an alcoholic.

The same could be said for drug addicts, addicts to porn, sex, lying, stealing, etc.

We wrote a teaching series recently on various sins that the Bible says will prevent us from inheriting the kingdom of God. In that series, we outlined the sins listed in the verses we were teaching on (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

We didn’t make up this list. It was taken directly from scripture. We also didn’t make up the end result of being excluded from inheriting the kingdom of God. It was taken from scripture.

God’s word is truth, plain and simple.

In response to day 6 of that series, which dealt with homosexuality, someone asked us about people who believe that God made homosexuals that way; born with an attraction to the same sex.

They asked a legitimate question. And the answer is in the verse above; God does not tempt us.

This solidly refutes the idea that God made them that way.

There could be any number of reasons why this attraction happens; emotional trauma, or abuse of some type. Or maybe it stems from a thought or a temptation that they entertained that grew into a full-blown lust that they now can’t escape.

Let’s be clear. This is not to throw stones at people attracted to those of the same sex. It is to offer some insight and to speak truth that can lead to freedom from this kind of bondage.

As mentioned above, this can also apply to people who repeatedly lie (liars), steal (thieves), abuse drugs (addicts) and alcohol (alcoholics) or those who engage in sex outside of marriage (fornicators).

The sin itself does not matter. The source of that sin does.

So, we need to get understanding in this area. Once we do, it will change the way we look at sin; even those “lifestyle sins” that can destroy us and those around us.

God is faithful to deliver us if we are willing to ask Him to.
