Bible Verse of The Day – 3-31-16

Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Leaving mom, dad or any other family members is a hard thing for some married couples. But it is a necessity if we want to have the marriage that God intends for us to have.

It doesn’t mean we disrespect our family, ignore them having nothing to do with them or completely run far away from them. But it does mean that there needs to be boundaries and these boundaries should be made by the husband and the wife together.

So many marriages struggle because of interference from family members. It doesn’t have to be this way. Husbands and wives need to take a stand together, following what God says in this verse, and bringing freedom to your marriage by introducing these boundaries.

Bring a healthy balance into your marriage today regarding family. And your ONENESS will grow even deeper as you pull together as a couple.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-30-16

2 Corinthians 5:21(NKJV) 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

He knew no sin. He is perfect! Beautiful and untainted! Holy in every way! Jesus Christ, all power and all truth.

What Christ did for us is something we should never take lightly. We should hold on tightly to it with everything in us.

When satan the liar, thief, murderer and destroyer tries to come and take away our blessings, don’t give them to him. Stand up in the name of Jesus Christ and tell him NO, with all authority that God has given to us through His Son, Jesus Christ!

No satan, you can’t take my health!

No satan, you can’t touch my finances!

No satan, you will not divide my family!

No satan, you will not take my job!

No satan, you will NOT pit me against God, telling me that He is the one hurting me and causing all my problems!

Stomp him down and say NO to satan today!

Luke 10:19 (NKJV) 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

We give the enemy NOTHING!

Enjoy our blessings today and thank God, for He is Good! Amen.

1 Chronicles 29:13 (NKJV) 13 “Now therefore, our God, We thank You And praise Your glorious name.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-29-16

1 Timothy 2:5(NKJV) 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

Our relationship with the Father can be as deep and as strong as we want it to be. Isn’t that AWESOME?

There is NO limit to how much time we spend with Him! We can go to the Father morning, noon or night. Why? Because Jesus Christ, our Mediator, has made this possible.

We don’t have to go through any other man to get to God. What a privilege and honor!

Are we working on our relationship with Him today? Are we growing stronger in our walk or are we still at where we were when we first came to know Him?

Draw near to Him today by communicating and spending time with Him.

Psalm 73:28 (NKJV) 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, That I may declare all Your works.

He is faithful!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-28-16

Galatians 5:14 (NKJV) 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Loving our neighbors is so important. But it can sometimes be extremely difficult.

Very few of us choose who our neighbors are. Sometimes they move in after us. Other times, we move into a house or apartment and our neighbors are already there. Either way, we have to learn to live with, and love, our neighbors.

The way we treat our neighbors is a reflection of God and our walk with Him. Many times, our neighbors might not know that we are believers, followers of Christ, but that shouldn’t make a difference in how we treat them.

It is our duty as believers to love them and treat them with respect, as God would want us to.

Sometimes our neighbors make it hard to do so by the way they treat us. Sometimes our neighbors gossip about us. Other times they might steal from us. Still other times they might say things directly to us that hurt us.

Regardless, we are told by God’s word to love them.

We’d like to challenge everyone today, including ourselves, to live this out; To walk it out on a daily basis. Let’s shine God’s love to those around us. They may receive it. They may not. What they do with it is up to them. But what we do on our end is up to us.

Love your neighbor as yourself.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-26-16

Matthew 6:34 (NKJV) 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Let us be reminded today that we should not worry; That worrying is NOT something Jesus wants us to participate in.

If there are things going on right now that are causing us to worry, we need to stop. And we need to take a look at what it is that’s causing the worry. Then we need to go to God and let Him know about what it is that’s worrying us, and ask Him for His help. Ask for guidance for our situation.

We don’t continue to worry after we have talked to Him about it. We take our minds off it and trust that God will bring the answer, open the door or show us the steps we need to take.

Our biggest problem is that we tend to look too far ahead.

Don’t think about what will become of tomorrow until tomorrow comes. Deal with just today. For today is enough.

Our prayers are with you. God is faithful. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-25-16

Psalm 27:1 (NKJV) 27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

Fear is something that we all deal with at different times in our lives. It’s something that comes in various forms and to varying degrees for each of us.

We all fear different things. Some fear being alone. Some fear being in poverty. Some fear sickness and disease. Some fear rejection. The list can be lengthy.

Fear is not from God. It comes from the enemy of our soul. It can come in subtle ways or it can be blatant and in our face.

As we walk through life, we can face so many things that can cause us to fear. Sometimes these things can grip us and tear our emotions to pieces, causing us to feel like ships tossed about on angry ocean waves in the midst of a terrible storm.

But we’re here to tell you that we do not have to be afraid! Yes, some things are hard to deal with and they can seem terrible as we face them. But God is with us. He is by our side. So no matter what we face, He will bring us through.

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) 10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

There may be times when it feels like we’re being torn apart by the storm, but God is our anchor. He is our deliverer. He is the rock upon which our lives stand firm.

Psalm 27:5 (NKJV) 5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

So in the midst of your own personal storm, cry out to Him. Cling to Him. And rejoice in His strength and His faithfulness.

And stand firm in your faith. No storm lasts forever.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-24-16

Proverbs 4:25 (NKJV) 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you.

How does one stay focused?

I have to ask God to help me everyday to stay focused. Why? Because there are so many things that like to come and pull on me.

These things that like to get our attention and pull on us aren’t always the things we need to be tending to. And they can cause us to be distracted from the very things we need to be doing. They can also pull us away from God, coming between us and Him.

How do we stay focused, looking straight ahead? Sometimes it takes making changes in the way we do things. Sometimes we need to avoid certain situations or certain people.

Shutting off our various electronic and mobile devices, until we take care of the things we need to get done, can also help us stay focused.

Sometimes putting ourselves out there and making ourselves available to everyone more than we need to can cause us not to get our own things done. We fall behind, get overwhelmed, and it creates chaos.

We may need to put limits on how much we’re available to others, in order to stay focused.

Focusing brings forward motion in our daily walk with God. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-23-16

Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV) 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

The words above are the secret to a deep, lasting relationship with our Father in heaven.

God is faithful with doing His part. We need to learn how to be faithful with doing our part.

And what is that part? Seeking Him with all our heart!

We need to be constantly seeking Him, pushing further and further forward, closer to Him each and every day.

Some days we’ll feel like we moved miles ahead. Other days we might feel like we went miles backwards. But the important thing is that we never stop seeking. We can never, ever give up and stop trying.

Even though it might sometimes feel like we’re not making any progress, all we need to do is look back at where we used to be.

If we ask, God is faithful to give the increase.

Matthew 7:7 (NKJV) 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

So let’s keep pressing in, seeking Him every day that we live and breathe. Remember… He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him!

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-22-16

John 20:24-25 (NKJV) 24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

I give Thomas credit for being real and honest about what had to take place in order for him to believe. He told them right out, I need to see and touch in order to completely believe.

How many of us feel like Thomas at times? We may not like to admit it, but God knows our heart.

Pretending to believe is not going to get our answers or our help. Jesus told Thomas right out, do not be unbelieving, but believe.

John 20:27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

Why don’t we see miracles more often in the church, in our homes, on our jobs, with our families, with our finances, etc.? Because, deep down… there is unbelief. There is a thought that says, “what if?”. What if Jesus won’t heal me? What if I believe and nothing happens? What if He does not show up?, etc.

Jesus addressed the unbelief in Thomas and He will address it in us. Why? Because having unbelief in our hearts causes us to be limited when it comes to what God can do through us and for us.

John 20:28-29 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

It is when we truly believe that we will walk in His blessings.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-21-16

John 8:12 (NKJV) 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Jesus is the light of the world.

There is no darkness in Him. And as His followers, He wants us to represent Him well.

We want to encourage everyone today to let God shine His light on us and show us if we’re carrying things in ourselves that spread darkness instead of light.

Sometimes it might be our attitude. Sometimes it might be unforgiveness. Sometimes it might be negative words that we speak. Sometimes it might be greed, envy or jealousy.

There are many things that we can carry that God wants us to lay down. Sometimes we carry them because of things that have happened to us. Sometimes we carry them by choice. Other times we carry them and don’t even know why.

Either way, we encourage you today to let God show us where we are harboring darkness and to let Him help us lay it down, once and for all.
