Bible Verse of The Day – 1-31-18

Psalm 145:8-9 (NKJV) 8 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. 9 The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.

This verse came to me yesterday as I was crying out in prayer for someone dear to me. I felt very helpless at the time for this particular situation. Within my own understanding I just didn’t know how, nor could I even see a way out for them. I was terribly saddened and feeling a heaviness at that particular moment.

After praying, I opened my Bible and this is the first verse I saw. It was my answer!

This verse right here spoke volumes to me.

I had received a phone call on this day and I needed to go out and help someone with their situation. It was a bittersweet moment. I was happy to be able to be there to help, but the things I saw saddened my heart.

As I prayed for this person, their situation became real to me and I truly felt for them. I hurt for them. I wept for them and I tried to put myself in their place. I was asking myself what would I do and how would I handle it, if that was me.

To be honest, it was a very hard situation, and from my own understanding I drew nothing but a blank.

How many of us are drawing a blank today? It’s OK to admit this. Because God will come and He will fill in those blanks with His word.

The scripture above says He is gracious. This showed me that no matter how far down we get, His hand can reach us.

He’s slow to anger, and great in mercy. It’s not over for us. Don’t even think we’re done. He will help us fix this.

He is good to all. That means you, me and anyone going through trials and who calls on His name. His mercies are over all of His works!

Be encouraged today. God has our back! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-30-18

Matthew 9:23-25 (NKJV) 23 When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing, 24 He said to them, “Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him. 25 But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

Jesus had the crowd put outside. Why? Because He knew they doubted Him.

Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. We want to believe. We want to see God move. But we don’t really believe. We doubt.

Doubt is the number one enemy when it comes to seeing God move on our behalf.

You see, Jesus knew that if He allowed those people to stay in the room, the little girl would not be healed and resurrected. He knew they doubted Him. They actually ridiculed Him when He spoke.

By having the doubters removed, He created an atmosphere that was conducive to faith, and free of doubt.

Sometimes it is hard to believe. Sometimes doubt can be so big in our face that it’s hard to see past it.

But it’s up to us to ask God to help us with our doubt. He just wants us to cry out and ask Him! God won’t turn us away because of it. On the contrary, He will help us believe!

Mark 9:24 (NKJV) 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

We urge you today, let God help your unbelief. Don’t struggle all your life with doubt and unbelief, tossed like a wave on the sea.

James 1:6-8 (NKJV) 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Just cry out to Him, saying “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-29-18

John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

When the thief comes and tries to knock us down, he will resort to some pretty low tactics.

For example, maybe we received negative news regarding our health, or a situation didn’t turn out the way we had hoped for. Maybe our kids are rebelling, or we lost our job, etc.

When these things are happening, we need to rebuke satan and his threats, in Jesus’ name.

Take whatever negative report we are getting and bring it to God. Talk to Him. Tell Him your concerns. He can turn things around. He can bring good things out of the worst situations, if we trust Him with it.

The Lord has come to give us life and to give it more abundantly! Amen. And living a life of fear is not abundant life. It’s just barely making it! Something needs to change.

In some situations, we may not even want to get out of bed because of what we have to face each day. God knows, though. And He is waiting on us to turn it over to Him. There is no way we can handle this stuff on our own, and God does not expect us to.

The sooner we realize this, the quicker things will start to turn around. That’s not saying that we will always see things happen right away with our natural eyes. But in the spiritual realm, things will begin to shift.

And as we press into God and trust Him with it, and we continue to obey His leading, walking out the steps He gives us, we will see things move in the natural also. And victory will eventually come.

Exodus 15:2 (NKJV) 2 The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – Gaining Victory and Not Losing Ground (Part 2) – 1-28-18

Greetings, brothers and sisters in Christ!

Victory is something we hear a lot about. And we all want to have victory in our lives, especially when it comes to pushing through trials in our lives.

Today’s video is part 2 of our series titled Gaining Victory and Not Losing Ground.

Please click here to watch the video now.

When we face trials, it’s important that we don’t let the trial push us away from God or cause us to back off in our relationship with Him. In today’s video, we discuss why that’s so important.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Victory comes with perseverance, and with listening to God and obeying what He tells us to do (and not do).

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-27-18

Psalm 73:28 (NKJV) 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, That I may declare all Your works.

Be encouraged today. Life is wonderful! We serve an awesome and mighty God who cares for us.

Things may not be perfect for us right now, but nothing stays the same forever. Change comes, new seasons come and breakthroughs happen. God is faithful!

We are praying for you, and we know that God will turn your situation around as you obey His voice in the decisions that need to be made.

If we walk closely with Him, our life will be blessed! For His yoke is easy and His burden is light. We will see His mighty hand working in ways we could never imagine. Just follow.

Matthew 11:30 (NKJV) 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

When we are walking with Him, there will be times when we want to jump out of bed in the morning, with great anticipation. Because we know that our Father in Heaven is taking care of every detail, and He will guide our steps to do whatever our part is in it. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-26-18

Ephesians 5:33 (NKJV) 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Husbands, love your wife. And wife, respect your husband.

Love and respect in any marriage is what keeps that marriage growing strong. Pray for each other, hold each other dear to your hearts, and sacrifice for each other when needed.

As couples, we need to protect our marriage. We need to watch out for our spouse. If our spouse is struggling, we need to make sure we are there for them. Everything else can wait.

Overtime or extra work can wait. The kid’s activities can wait. The meetings can wait. Our social hour with friends can wait. Our sports can wait. Our shopping can wait. Everything else gets put on hold when it comes to our marriage.

When our spouse is struggling, we shouldn’t spend our time nagging at them for the things they are doing wrong. We don’t need to be reminding them of the things they might have done in the past. Leave the past in the past.

They need us to lift them up, encourage them and help them through their tough days. Stand with them and be there for them.

Sometimes we have to humble ourselves and be reminded of our own weaknesses and the struggles that we have, so we can be compassionate towards them during this time.

Love should get stronger when tough times come. Love doesn’t give up. Love sees what may appear to be an ugly situation and helps it to become beautiful, stronger and successful.

Renew our love today for each other by stopping everything. Sit down. Remind each other about our vows and what God says in His word.

Tell each other that we are there for them and will enjoy the good times and walk through the tough times together. And whatever it takes, we will come through and out the other side, for God is with us.

Romans 8:31 (NKJV) 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-25-18

2 Thessalonians 3:13 (NKJV) 13 But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.

Some days it can feel like doing good is impossible.

We have been commanded by God to do right by everyone, to do all things as unto Him, and to love everyone we encounter.

Most times this isn’t a problem. But then there are those times when it feels like doing good is a huge fight.

This might be because we have been fought so hard. It might be because the person we are trying to do right by is mean and wicked in their ways. Or it might just be that we are tired… worn out from trying.

But God has told us not to grow weary in doing good. So how do we do that? How do we continually do good without reaching a point where we simply want to throw our hands up in the air and walk away?

There’s only one way. We need to make sure we’re doing things by the Spirit of God, not by our own natural strength.

Let’s face it; Our flesh is weak. It will only take us just so far before it wants to give up and sit down.

But God’s spirit is strong and mighty. So we need to let God teach us how to live and move by His spirit, not by our flesh or our emotions.

This takes time, but it will happen if we put forth the effort and have the desire for it. We need to draw near to God, and as we do so, He will strengthen our spirit.

Psalm 73:28 (NKJV) 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, That I may declare all Your works.

Bible verse of The Day – 1-24-18

Revelation 2:3 (NKJV) 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary.

Hang in there today. Push through. Put one foot in front of the other and don’t look back. It’s a new day, with a new start, and God is for us! Amen.

We are not laboring in vain when we put God first.

When we obey God’s word, rather than doing what we want, we are setting ourselves aside and our hearts are humbled before Him as we carry on with His plan.

We have given up those things that we once considered to be ours, and placed them in the hands of our King, and we press on to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV) 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

All your hard work, your sacrifices, and efforts are seen. God knows our hearts. Keep moving forward.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-23-18

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) 18 “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

Sometimes, as we move through life, there are certain events or even certain seasons that tend to stick out in our minds.

Sometimes they stick with us because they were very good, and we liked it that way. Other times it can be due to something bad that happened during that time, and we are left with sad or hurtful memories.

Either way, God never wants us to spend all our time looking back. It’s not wrong to reminisce or reflect on things of old. But we should never dwell there.

God is a forward mover. He doesn’t want us to constantly be looking back, longing for the past, fretting over things that happened in the past, or thinking about how much better things might have been back then.

If we get caught up in the times and events of our past, it seriously hinders our ability to look forward. God wants to move in our lives in a way that will help us overcome those things that might have happened in the past, and to put our energy into the things that He has for us in the future.

Don’t hold onto the past. Don’t fret over missed opportunities. And don’t let the wounds of the past destroy what God wants to do with our future.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-22-18

Mark 4:19 (NKJV) 19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

How is our walk with God today? Have we lost Him somewhere in the shuffle? Is our heart so bogged down with the cares of the things around us that He seems far away, off in the distance somewhere?

Time to put on the brakes, slow down and pull back on some things. Time to put first things first, get back on track and stop toying with things that are only there to distract us from what we really need to be doing.

It happens. The cares of the world try to take over. It’s up to us to stop it from happening!

We need to be seeking God, first and foremost. Everything else will work its way out as we do this.

He is our Anchor. He is our Rock. He holds us together. Don’t let Him be the One that is lost. Everything else comes after Him.

Today, let’s make a decision within our hearts to slow it down and get back on track. He is our #1 priority, before anyone or anything else.

Let’s not lose Him in the shuffle.

Trials are just part of life. But, as children of God, victory is also part of life!
