Bible Verse of The Day – 4-30-14

(Psalm 145:16 NKJV)  You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

It truly doesn’t matter what this world has to offer; Television, Smartphones, Tablet Computers, drugs, wild living, fancy cars, big homes, lots of money, etc. There will always be that empty feeling inside, no matter how much of this we have, if we don’t have God. These things are never going to satisfy us completely. We will always want more.

But what will satisfy us completely and bring great joy and a wonderful life is seeking God each day, following Him, and walking in His love.

God is faithful. He will not give up on us. But, instead, He will take us by the hand daily… feeding us, clothing us, and walking with us. He will teach us the things that matter in this life!!

(Psalm 145:17 NKJV)  The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-29-14

(Psalm 16:8-9 NKJV)  I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. {9} Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.

It’s a good idea to set the Lord before us and follow Him. Setting the Lord before us shows Him that we trust in Him and His way for us each day.

I remember I was in a church service one night, and while as I was sitting there I had a vision. In that vision, the minister that was speaking at this church was way out in front of the Lord. I thought to myself “what is that about?”.

After listening to the minster speak a bit, I soon realized what God was showing me. This minister was just as God showed me. They were doing their own thing. They were running with their own agenda, but claiming to be moving in the name of the Lord.

This minister may not have even been aware of this, and this happens a lot because it can be easy to get caught up in doing things for God instead of WITH God.

Let me explain; we do not want to be doing God’s work without Him leading the way for us. We should never be out in front of Him.

We should set the Lord before us always.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-28-14

Exodus 3:14 (NKJV) And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'”

We want you to know today that we serve The Great I Am, not “the great I was”!

God is powerful! He is more than enough for us. He is our source and all that we need.

But even better than that, He never changes! We serve the very same God who parted the Red Sea, rained manna down from heaven, created everything we see around us and so, so much more!

All of the power and magnificence that He had in the days of Moses and Abraham is still available to us today!

Jesus Christ came and walked the earth as Immanuel, God with us, and spoke these very words:

John 8:58 (NKJV) Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

And God’s word promises us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

So you see, we don’t serve a God who has abandoned us or left us weak and powerless. He has given us power from on high and authority in the name of Jesus, to cast out demons, heal the sick and raise the dead.

We know that this sounds far-fetched to some and it might sound cliché to others, but it’s the absolute truth and the fact that too many churches and too many believers have left this truth behind has caused the body of Christ to become weak and impotent.

Church, it’s time to rise up and embrace the truth that God has placed before us. And it’s time to live as though God is alive!

So, today, embrace God for who He is; a God that’s alive and well, and the same yesterday, today and forever. And get an understanding of who you are in Christ.

You are a powerful ray of light in this dark world.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-26-14

Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her…

Husbands, Love Your Wives.

This is so simple, yet so profound.

Love Your Wife. It is a command from God’s word. It is something that we have to learn how to do if we are to do it right.

And how do we learn it? We learn by example. And who is our example? Jesus Himself.

Jesus loved His bride so much that He gave His life for her. He loved His bride so much, He laid His life down as a sacrifice for her.

This means that anything less than giving His life would have been easy for Him to do. Any other kind of sacrifice would have been a simple thing for Him to do, with no tough decision required.

So where do we, as husbands, stand when it comes to this kind of unselfish love? Do we love our wives the way Christ loved His bride?

Do we pass the test with flying colors, or do we maybe just squeak by? Or do we miss it by a longshot?

No matter how well or how poor a job we do when it comes to loving our wife, we can always do better. We will never be perfect, but we need to give our wife a 100% effort, nothing less.

So, husbands, ask yourself today if you’re loving your wife the way Christ loved His bride.

Husbands, love your wives.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-25-14

(Romans 10:17 NKJV)  So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

It is by hearing the Word of God that we develop faith.

Our faith does not come by watching others; our faith doesn’t come by impartation from others. Our faith only comes by hearing ONE thing, the WORD of God! That is how faith comes!

This generation hears a lot of stuff but God has been removed from most of it. God has been taken out of Schools, He has been taken out of homes and He has even been taken out of many churches!

How can we have faith and how can it grow if we don’t hear HIM or HIS Words? It can’t! And it’s causing a faithless generation.

Don’t think for a second the enemy doesn’t know what is happening.

Let’s agree together to pray for God’s Word to be brought back into our generation, our society, and our world. By hearing His Word, faith Comes! Without faith there is no movement, it is stagnant!

We need God to move on this earth, and we need Him now. Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-23-14

(Psalm 78:4 NKJV)  We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

It’s important that we teach and share with our children about God’s wonderful works that He has done!

Sometimes my grandchildren come over and they are so focused on playing in their playroom that I don’t want to disturb them. But, while they are playing, I’ll prepare snacks and then I’ll begin to share some things that God has done. Their little eyes light up and they start asking questions!

Kids want to know the truth; they love to hear the things God did and the things He continues to do in our lives.

The best part about sharing God’s works, and strength, is that it is all truth! The Bible is alive! We don’t have to guess or make it up; it’s all right there in the book. We are safe to share with them His might and strengths! It will stick with them and help them.

They need to know when they are away from mom, dad, brother or sister, that they can stand and not fall down. When they’re in school and there is someone bullying them, pressuring them, tempting them or telling them lies, they need to know who to cry out to. They need to know who will help them at that time.

Mom and Dads are wonderful, but let’s face it, we can not be there all the time. We are really just a pinch of help compared to what God can do for them.

The enemy would love to get us to keep quiet and not share God’s wonderful works and strengths with our children. Maybe we don’t know much about them ourselves so we leave it up to others to teach them?

We can always share the things we do know and those things that God did personally for us. Don’t be afraid; our kids need God just as much as we do.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-23-14

Jude 1:20-21 (NKJV) 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

It is so important that we be built up in our faith.

Keeping our faith strong means that doubt has no place in us. It means that our trust in God is stronger than the lies that the enemy tries to plant in our minds.

Strong faith helps us to be victorious in our battles, even when those battles seem so very long and hard.

Strong faith gives us the fortitude to press in and push through when our flesh just wants to give up and lay down.

Strong faith will help us live a victorious life until the day we meet Jesus.

So how do we develop strong faith? How do we take our weak, little tiny faith and build it into battle-worthy faith that carries us through the trials and tough times in our lives?

First, we never, ever give up on God. It’s not an option. We cling to Him, no matter what comes our way.

Second, we spend time with Him. We share our heart with Him. We listen for His voice, and when we hear it, we obey Him. We follow His leading in everything.

And finally, we stay in His word. We read it as often as we can, taking it in and making it part of our being… part of our existence. It becomes a very part of our thought process.

As we determine in our heart that we will never give up, we spend time with Him, talking and listening and then doing, and we make His word a part of us, we will have strong faith.

And when our faith is strong, we will be strong.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-22-14

(Malachi 3:10-11 NKJV)  Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. {11} “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts…

God has protected us even when we have made some big mistakes. We are so very grateful for His mercy, grace and His protection that He provides for us every day.

The past two years have been a real battle for us. There were times when we just wanted to leave everything behind and run far, far away.

There were some days we didn’t know which way to turn. We’d just cry because things were so hard and the pressure was so very heavy. We were feeling drained at times, to the point where we didn’t want to even go outside of our home to face anyone.

Thank God we don’t fight our battles alone. He was with us every step of the way. We had protection all around us. We didn’t give up and that battle ended for us. It will end for you too!

I’m talking to some of you that are feeling some hard times and pressure right now. You’re struggling and can’t find the way out.

Let God’s word speak to you and your situation today… there is protection when we obey God. Tithing brings a certain kind of protection to us. God rebukes the devourer from trying to swallow us up.

We were not destroyed! Our vine still bears fruit because of the protection that comes when we do what God tells us to do.

Pray and ask God what you need to do today to help you in your situation. Let Him lead you in this. Everyone’s situation is different and God may have something specific He wants you to do.

Our heart is with you. We know what you are going through. We have felt it, we have walked in it and it’s not easy. But thank God He’s there!!  Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-21-14

Matthew 16:13-16 (NKJV) 13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

But who do you say I am?

The way a person answers this question puts them on one side or the other, when it comes to where they stand with God. They either believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the living son of God, Immanuel, or they believe He was just a good man, a teacher or a prophet.

Jesus was all of those things, a prophet, a teacher and a good man, but He was so much more!

Jesus was God with us (Immanuel). He came to the earth with one purpose; to walk with us and then die for us, to save us from our wretched selves and our sinful ways.

Now, let me ask you, who do you say that Jesus is? Is He just someone that we hear about in church, or is He your Savior, your Lord and Redeemer? Do you have a living, vibrant relationship with Him, or is it just casual, where you seek Him or talk to Him once in a while or when things are going wrong with your life?

Kind of makes you think, doesn’t it? Because a vibrant relationship requires work and communication on a regular basis, or it’s not vibrant and living.

Ask yourself today where you’re really at with Jesus. Are you where you want to be? If not, you’re the only one who can change this! You’re the only one who can make a decision to make the relationship better and stronger.

We encourage you to take that step and draw closer to Him today.

James 4:8 (NKJV) Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-19-14

Hebrews 13:2 (NKJV) 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

Many people will talk about how we should do our best to please God and represent Him, even when nobody is watching us. Because even when people don’t see us, God surely does.

But we also need to be diligent when it comes to the people we meet and don’t know. Whether it’s in line at the grocery store, in our car on the highway or wherever we go.

The way we treat others is a reflection of our walk with God and what’s in our heart. But we also never really know who we’re interacting with. It’s not impossible to think that we may actually encounter an angel and never even know it.

The cool part is that God chooses not to have them reveal themselves to us as angels because He wants to see how we’ll handle ourselves.

So when we’re in that not-so-friendly mood, it might be best to put our best foot forward when we’re dealing with others, even when we don’t really feel like it!

Be blessed and have a great day.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-18-14

(1 John 5:14-15 NKJV)  Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. {15} And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

There is a confidence that comes when we ask anything according to God’s will.

Be sure to ask God what His will is for all situations. How many times do we start to pray for things we want to see happen but never consider asking Him, or seeking the scriptures to see what His Word says about it?

If we want to see our prayers answered we need to line up with God’s will for that situation or circumstance.

Pray in agreement with Him today. He will hear our cry and answer our prayers as we ask according to His will. He loves to direct and guide us into Victory!
