Bible Verse of The Day – 12-19-14

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) 10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Are we tossing and turning at night trying to figure everything out? Are waking up to fear in the morning? Are we constantly feeling insecure?

Today we want to remind you of what God says in His word. He is with you! He will strengthen you! He will  help you! He will uphold you! You are safe with Him.

Dear God in Heaven,

We proclaim Your word over each and every person today that is suffering in this fearful state. Right now, in the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of fear off of their lives, their family, their job, their ministry, out of their home, out of their workplace or their business and we stand against what the enemy is trying to do them, and declare this assignment against them null and void this day, in Jesus’ name.

We ask for your peace, Father, the peace that surpasses all understanding, to be with them and Your sound mind over them. We ask for Your clarity and direction in their situation.

In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen

Enjoy your day today. God is for you!!

Romans 8:31 (NKJV) 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-18-14

Galatians 5:16 (NKJV) 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Sometimes we can have a hard time resisting temptation.

Temptation comes in many, many forms. And each of us has specific kinds of temptation that are harder to resist than others.

For some it might be lust. For others it might be gossip. And for others it might be lying or stealing. It really doesn’t matter what it is that we wrestle with. All that matters is that we all fight against temptation.

Want to know the secret to defeating temptation? Walk in the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, is our guide in this life. He is our helper. He speaks to us at all times, telling us what to do and what not to do. He tells us everything we need to know to live a strong life as a believer.

We just need to listen!

If we can learn to hear God’s spirit and heed His instruction, we will no longer struggle so badly with fulfilling the lust of the flesh, or falling for any type of temptation.

This doesn’t mean that we will become sinless. We’re human, and it’s not in human nature to be sinless.

But it does mean that we will gain the upper hand over temptation and sin and we will win more often than we will lose!

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-17-14

1 Chronicles 16:34 (NKJV) 34 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Give thanks.

Such a simple concept, but not always so easy to do if things are tough or not going the way we had hoped or expected.

Our emotions will often try to dictate to us how we should feel or how we should act, based on our circumstances. It’s a natural human tendency.

But the spirit of God wants us to look beyond our circumstances and be thankful, despite our circumstances or our situation.

Are you underpaid, overworked, deep in debt, about to lose your home, dealing with a family tragedy, working through relationship problems, trying to break free from addiction, or anything else that might seem overwhelming?

Give thanks to God for everything. Push the emotions aside that would try to make you angry, bitter and negative.

Kick the devil in the face and thank God anyway. Thank Him for who He is, not for what He has done for you. Not for material things that can disappear in a second.

Things of this earth are temporary. But God and His mercy endure forever!

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-16-14

Psalm 25:5 (NKJV) 5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.

Waiting on God.

It was a few nights ago when we got a phone call from a parent. Their child woke up crying because of a dream they’d had.

The child shared the dream with their parents in great detail, talking about things that 6 year old kids don’t have much understanding about.

The dream this little 6 year old child had was actually God’s way of speaking to the parents, giving them direction, and bringing clarity to a situation they were facing. The parents knew right away what steps they needed to take.

To hear the dream that this little child had, and for this child to remember the dream and then repeat it to them in detail was definitely God!

He is faithful to lead us all. There is no doubt that He will guide us if we ask Him to.

Our job is to seek Him, to listen and to wait.

Don’t be afraid or worried about the timing of it all, or how it will all play out. He’s never late and He usually doesn’t do things the way we would think.

Stay open to whatever it may be. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-15-14

Jude 1:20-21 (NKJV) 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Today, we’d like to offer these verses to you, to encourage you and show you God’s hope for your life.

God desires for each and every one of us to excel in the faith; to be built up, praying in the Spirit and keeping ourselves in the love of God.

God wants us to pursue Him with all that is in us.

So many of us have gotten ourselves so busy and so stretched for time that we find it hard to spend even just a few minutes with Him each day.

We implore you today to stop and take a look at your lifestyle… your busy, busy lifestyle that tries to squeeze so much into every minute of each day. Before we know it, we’ve gotten so over-scheduled that we can’t even do all of the things that we’ve obligated ourselves to do.

Almost 2 years ago, God spoke a single word to me; Simplify.

So today I want to speak that very same word to you; Simplify!

Take time and examine your life. What is necessary and what can be cut out? What have we tied ourselves to that we need to cut off?

Which activities are we pursuing that maybe we need to scale back on, or possibly even let go of completely?

It’s not an easy thing to do, to simplify, but if we want to know God and experience that peace that surpasses understanding, we need to make room for Him to work in our lives.

So I ask you today, will you heed His word? Will you make room for Him?

Simplify!

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-13-14

Psalm 73:28 (NKJV) 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works.

We have people ask us frequently how they can know God’s purpose for their life, how they can hear God’s voice, how they can have sharper discernment and many other questions that are similar.

Our response is always the same; Draw near to God.

You see, we can pray and ask God for sharper discernment, a closer walk with Him, stronger faith, to hear His voice more easily, and much more. But if we fail to draw near to God and grow our relationship with Him, we’ll never, ever be able to hear Him better or have better discernment.

Achieving any of the things mentioned above requires that we have a strong relationship with our Creator. It’s just like any other relationship; we get out what we put in.

Drawing near to Him takes effort and needs to be done on purpose. It doesn’t happen accidentally or just by wishing it would happen. It’s just like anything else that’s worth achieving or obtaining. It takes work!

You can’t get sharper discernment by having someone lay hands on you and pray for you to have it. You can’t draw closer to God by calling a prayer line and asking them to pray for you. You can’t find God’s purpose for your life by taking 5 easy steps. And you can’t grow your faith simply by saying that you want your faith to grow.

Purpose in your heart that you want a closer walk with God. Make it your desire to know Him better. Push aside every distraction and focus on Him. And do you know what will happen when we do that?

We will get closer to Him. Our faith will grow. Our discernment will become sharper. We will hear His voice more easily. And with all of this, we will begin walking on the path that God has set in place for us.

We can all have a powerful walk with God. We just have to want it badly enough to go after it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-12-14

Isaiah 7:14 (NKJV) 14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel…

I will always be in awe over this truth…the birth of our Savior!

This verse tells us what our sign is, that the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son and shall call His name Immanuel. This is a miracle! His name was called, Immanuel, God with us!!

The sign was given to each one of us. He gave us the freedom to believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, born of a virgin.

God walked among us through His Son Jesus Christ. He grew, He walked, He talked, He ate, He prayed, He healed, He delivered, etc. And this Son was the only One that could sacrifice His life for our sins.

There is nothing but the blood of Jesus Christ that washes all our sins away.

This is an amazing thing that God did for us through His Son, that we would believe in Him and put our faith in Him as our Lord and Savior.

If you believe in God’s Son, Jesus Christ, and you want eternal life and to have a relationship with Him while here on earth, take time today and pray this prayer, below, with all sincerity. Your life will never be the same again, as you put your faith and trust in Him.

Dear God in Heaven,

I come to You today with a humble heart and ask You Lord to forgive me of my sins. I ask you to come into my heart, to live with me and help me each day.

Let Your Holy Spirit guide me to make the right decisions and follow You in all that I do. I ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer you are now a child of the most high God. Jesus Christ has saved you, and He lives in you today. The Holy Spirit is with you, and will guide you if you let Him.

Praise be to God. You have just receive the best gift you will ever receive in your lifetime! Please feel free to contact us and let us know, we want to rejoice and be praying for you.

Love in Christ,

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-11-14

1 Peter 5:6 (NKJV) 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time…

Going back to a time in our lives when it was a season of financial decrease, there was a job opportunity that came knocking on our door. We were excited about the offer! Although, the more we prayed about it, the more we felt like it was not for us. Why God, Why?

So do we just stop praying and push through, taking the job offer that we think is perfect for us? Well, I guess we could have, but instead we did choose to humble ourselves and do it God’s way.

Too many times we have tried to do it our way and too many times it has come back to bite us.

We were in a situation where this job would have helped us out a lot, no doubt about that. We thought it would have brought stability, and it definitely would have. But It was not the answer to our prayer. It was not what God had for us at this time and this season in our life.

It was a hard thing to refuse that job, and our logical thinking was puzzled over it, but in our spirit man we knew it was what God wanted us to do.

It wasn’t until months later, we realized that if we had taken that position, we would have ruined great opportunities that were meant for us and It would have taken up all our time and energy.

Be careful when choosing the door to walk through. It is not always the one we think it might be. We need to be prayerful and humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-10-14

Ephesians 5:28 (NKJV) 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.

Making time for our spouse, and treating them with respect and love is important. Sure, they can have a bad day sometimes. Don’t we all? They still need love and affection, and not to be ignored.

Make every day count. Try to plan quality time with them. It could be as simple as sitting together and reading a book. Or cuddle up and watch a good show. Maybe even eat a nice candle lit dinner, etc.

Make sure we keep the flame burning on the candle of our marriage. Switch things up now and then and do something different, something out of the ordinary.

One of the common things going around nowadays with married couples is that they “fell out of love”. Well, maybe what they are trying to say is not so much they don’t love the other person but that they are BORED with the same ole same ole stuff and want some excitement!

Keep it exciting and keep it fun! It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. Be creative!

Have fun and love on your spouse. Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-9-14

John 8:31-32 (NKJV) 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Truth is a funny thing.

It can hurt so bad sometimes when we hear it or see it. But it’s that very same truth that can also make us free.

So it is with Jesus. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Only when we meet Jesus and embrace His truth are we ever given the opportunity to experience true freedom.

No, He doesn’t magically make all of our problems disappear. And we don’t instantly get wealthy or suddenly have perfect health.

But He does offer us instant freedom from our sin and offer us eternal life with Him.

This is the ultimate in freedom. It doesn’t matter how this world tries to hold us down or keep us in some kind of bondage in the natural realm.

If we have Jesus, we have freedom. And it can’t get any better than that.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-8-14

Proverbs 15:21 (NKJV) 21 Folly is joy to him who is destitute of discernment, but a man of understanding walks uprightly.

Discernment is so very critical in our walk with God.

Discernment will help us to understand the things of God.

Discernment will help us to make sound choices in our lives.

Discernment will help us to better distinguish between right and wrong.

Discernment will help us see people’s motives and show us who someone really is, beyond their facades and their flowery words.

The church needs discernment! We have pushed it aside because we have become desensitized over the years. We have traded discernment for politeness and political correctness.

Without discernment, our judgment is impaired and our ability to make sound decisions and wise choices is weak, at best.

Without discernment, black and white become gray. Right and wrong become nothing more than personal preferences, instead of absolutes.

Proverbs 2:3-5 (NKJV) 3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, 4 If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; 5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

Having razor-sharp discernment isn’t just for leaders, but for every child of God, so that we can make the right choices and our lives will be blessed because of it.

So, people of God, don’t take discernment lightly. Ask God for sharper discernment in your life and He will be faithful to give it.
