Bible Verse of The Day – 7-9-18

Jeremiah 17:9-10 (NKJV) 9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10 I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

As followers of Christ, it’s critically important that we check our heart from time to time and let God show us what’s in there.

Because our heart is hidden, it’s a place where secrets can dwell very safely. While this might seem like it’s OK, since it’s hidden away, it means that we can be hiding things that are not good.

It’s important that we’re honest with ourselves and willing to admit that we have things hidden in us that we need to give God access to, so He can help us root them out and get rid of them.

There are no secrets from God. He sees everything and knows everything. So if we think we’re hiding anything from Him by keeping it undercover, we’re only kidding ourselves.

And let’s be clear about something. We don’t necessarily need to be ashamed of what we’re hiding. We all deal with something.

The shameful part is when we know that something is there and we coddle it, cater to it and feed it, like a pet. But if we go to God with it and let Him help us with it, He will help us get free from it and show us how to avoid it in the future.

So, let’s let God in. Give Him access to our most secret place and most secret thoughts. We are literally only one step away from beginning to get free of those hidden things.

And once we surrender them to Him, they can no longer control us or torment us. Be free, in the name of Jesus!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-8-18

What is Righteousness? - Click to watch the video nowGreetings in the name of Jesus!

Righteousness is something that is mentioned throughout the Bible, from beginning to end. It’s safe to say that righteousness is pretty important to God.

Many people don’t realize that there are two types of righteousness that God refers to in His word.

Today’s video discusses both types, as we share examples from God’s word about the two types, and what they each mean to us.

Please click here to watch the video now.

As we begin to understand righteousness better, we will begin to see how God uses the two to work together in our lives, as part of who He wants us to become.

So, we hope you will take a few minutes to watch this and then share it with others, so that God can work in us all as He shapes and molds us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-7-18

Psalm 92:1-2 (NKJV) 1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night…

Take this day and declare His lovingkindness!

The things of life can take up every second of our day and night. It’s up to us to stop it and slow it down. It’s up to us to make our day what it should be and prioritize it correctly.

We have the power and control over each day in our hands. What will we do with it?

Will we follow God’s word today and take a few minutes? Will we stop what we think is so important, put it aside for Him, and declare how faithful He is?

What an Awesome Papa He is!

His word says it is GOOD to sing and praise and thank Him!

Hallelujah to my Lord!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-6-18

1 Corinthians 1:18 (NKJV) 18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Many people tend to ignore the things of God because they don’t understand them. It’s not that they are completely ignorant of the things of God. They have heard about them, either directly or indirectly.

But they don’t quite understand them, so they move on to other things. They don’t want to expend time and energy for something they can’t wrap their heads around.

What they fail to see and understand is that the very thing they choose to ignore holds the keys to life, here on earth and for eternity. So, not only are they ignoring something that can help them live life abundantly here, but they are also throwing away their chance to live eternally with God.

Many people look at Christianity as something for people who are weak, feeble, friendless or foolish. But God has said that He will use the foolish things (and people) of the world to confound the wise.

1 Corinthians 1:27 (NKJV) 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

As such, you and I have been chosen to be used by God.

This doesn’t mean that Christians are stupid or foolish. It means that we have chosen to follow God, despite not necessarily being able to completely understand in an intellectual way everything that God does, or why He does it.

God is our source and our security. And I don’t know about you, but if that makes me seem foolish, then so be it. I will be a fool for Christ!

As stated by the Apostles, they were looked at as fools, even as they were willing to lay down their lives for what they believed.

1 Corinthians 4:10 (NKJV) 10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-5-18

Acts 2:21 (NKJV) 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’

God is speaking to us today. He is saying to call on His name.

If we are lost and in need of salvation, call on His name.

If we need healing or deliverance, call on His name.

If we are hungry and we need food, finances, or a bed to rest our weary heads, call on Him.

If we are in need of anything personal, call on the name of the Lord today.

He will save us.

We are all at different places in our journey. But if we call on the name of the Lord, He will meet us where we are at. He is a very personal God.

We are blessed to have such a loving, but yet firm and caring Father, who knows our every need and sent to us the answer to every situation that we will go through.

Call on His name today, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! His is faithful! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-4-18

Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Many who read this are experiencing various kinds of trials. These trials may be minor or they may be very major. Some may seem “like a bump in the road”. Others may make us feel like we have had the wind knocked out of us.

Regardless of their intensity, it’s important that we know and understand God’s love for us, and His desires for us.

We need to make sure we understand that God’s desire for us is never evil. Yes, we will face things that are not pleasant. But these are not His things. He is good and full of light. There is no darkness found in Him.

1 John 1:5 (NKJV) 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

While trials can be very tough for us to understand sometimes, it’s still important that we know that each and every trial we face can actually be good for us. The key to this is to put God first in everything and hold tightly to Him in the midst of our trials.

Doing this helps us to keep things in perspective and to keep us from worrying or stressing as much as we would otherwise.

And in the end, God can use the trials that we face to mold us, shape us and draw us closer to Him, causing us to grow in our faith.

James 1:3-4 (NKJV) 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-3-18

Luke 6:35 (NKJV) 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

There have been a lot of things that God has taught me and that He has used to set me free. One of the things I have learned that has helped me to get free during the past few years is not to expect things from others.

I don’t expect people to know how I feel. I don’t expect people to treat me a certain way. I don’t expect things to go my way. And I don’t expect people to give back to me what I have given to them.

I just don’t expect anything, and with this came a great peace. This simple little change in me has literally set me free from a lot of things that could have hurt me, leaving scars, disappointments and an aching heart.

Instead of expecting, I have learned to turn that around and give more of myself and do more with the gifts that God has blessed me with. It has brought me great JOY and more satisfaction than I could have ever dreamed.

Expectations can ruin wonderful relationships. Get free today from this way of thinking and learn to be who you were created to be. Enjoy your life and relationships with those that come your way.

Keep going, and do what is in your heart to do, with no expectations of anything in return. Your life will be so much better.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-2-18

John 3:3 (NKJV) 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

This scripture is one of the most well-known verses when it comes to sharing the Biblical truth of being “born again”. In fact, it’s safe to say that this single verse alone is responsible for the term “born-again Christian”.

But let’s take a look at this in a little deeper way.

Nicodemus came to Jesus in the night, to ask Him some questions. He had obviously observed Jesus doing some things and had probably also heard a lot about Him.

Nicodemus was a Pharisee, a Jewish ruler. He explained to Jesus that he had concluded that He was “from God”, based on the things He had done. Nicodemus said that no one could do the things Jesus had done unless God was with Him.

Instead of replying to the indirect question of Nicodemus and telling him who He was, Jesus responded with a statement, saying; “unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God“.

So many times, we just skim right over this and just simply proclaim that “we must be born again!”.

But think about being in the shoes of Nicodemus! This was such a new and unusual statement from Jesus that he just couldn’t grasp it. This was an extremely deep, profound statement. Nobody had ever said anything like this before!

Nicodemus was floored. His head spun as he tried to process what he had just heard.

The first thought he had was that Jesus was somehow implicating that one would need to literally climb back into their mother’s womb, which we all know is 100% impossible. Nicodemus also knew this, so he was completely puzzled by Jesus’ statement.

But Jesus continued on and explained to Nicodemus that in order to be born again, we need to be born of the Spirit. Now this helps us to understand things a bit better!

What Jesus was saying is that we must pursue God in a way that goes beyond simple head knowledge. We need to develop a relationship with Him that defies our own intellect and understanding, relying instead on the Holy Spirit to lead us and teach us.

Think about that for a moment. If we were to step outside of the things we’ve been taught about salvation, and someone was to walk up to us and tell us that we need to be born again, we would probably also hurt our heads trying to figure it out!

But this is who Jesus was and what He did. He turned the religious world upside down, teaching things that people had never heard and doing things people had never seen.

His words were extremely deep, profound and powerful in ways that are probably still not fully comprehended or recognized today, even by experienced, educated Bible scholars.

But the beauty of all this is that God sent the Holy Spirit, our Helper, to lead us into truth and reveal things to us that are beyond our normal thinking.

John 16:13 (NKJV) 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

He helps us to follow God’s leading, even when we may not fully understand why God is leading us in a specific direction.

And as we grow in our walk with Him, we will begin to learn to look beyond the earthly way of understanding, and allow the Holy Spirit to show us those things that only He can show us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-1-18 – Mary, Martha, Jesus and You

Please click to watch the video nowGreetings in the name of Jesus.

Have you ever been busy taking care of guests and then noticed someone else who isn’t helping at all?

Today’s video talks about this! We hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch it.

Mary invited Jesus to her house. Her sister, Martha, was also there. And while Martha scurried around tending to everything, Mary sat with Jesus, never lifting a finger to help. Let’s just say that Martha wasn’t very happy with her sister!

It’s good to know what Jesus said about this when Martha asked Him about it. So we hope you’ll give the video a watch.

Enjoy your day and be sure to love on those around you.

Sincerely in Christ,
