Bible Verse of The Day – 4-7-21

1 Kings 11:1 (NKJV) 1 But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites—

Solomon’s father was King David. David loved God with all his heart. God knew David’s heart and showed him tremendous favor because of it.

Solomon found favor with God early in his reign as King. His heart wanted to do the right thing. And because of that, God blessed him immensely.

Over time, though, Solomon disobeyed God, and his heart strayed from God.

Solomon had a weakness for women. And foreign women were a big part of that weakness.

In the end, those women turned Solomon’s heart away from God.

1 Kings 11:4 (NKJV) 4 For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David.

You see, this can happen to any of us.

We can have the best of intentions. We can love God sincerely. And we can please Him with our actions.

But then things can come along that cause us to become distracted; to stray from Him and replace Him as our first love.

When this happens, nothing good comes from it.

This is why it’s so critical that we guard our hearts and protect our walk with God at all costs.

Nothing is ever worth losing our love for God over. Nothing.

So, we urge you to shield your heart from evil of all kinds, even if it might seem tiny and insignificant. A little sin can go a long way toward destroying something much bigger and more important.

1 Corinthians 5:6 (NKJV) 6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-6-21

1 Kings 8:61 (NKJV) 61 Let your heart therefore be loyal to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.”

I feel so bad when I say or do something stupid, because most times I know better.

How many are with me today? You feel the conviction immediately and you think, “why did I go there, AGAIN?”.

You know, some days it’s so easy to hold back. But other days it’s not. And we just slip up. Boy, God must have some mercy on me.

Being loyal to God doesn’t mean we will be perfect. It would be nice if we could, but it’s impossible if we are flesh and bone.

The flesh is always out to get us. And if we allow it, it will.

Being loyal just simply means that we keep working at knowing the Lord our God and His righteous ways, and allowing Him to help us overcome that very thing that tries to pull on us at times. It means giving our hearts over completely to our Helper, the Holy Spirit.

It’s the Holy Spirit who will warn, correct and keep us from making those dumb mess ups at times.

1 Timothy 6:11 (NKJV) 11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

Loyalty to God means to pursue or go after what is righteous, and stick to it. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-5-21

Romans 1:24-25 (NKJV) 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Depravity.

It is running wild in the world as we witness the crumbling of Biblical morals and ethics on a massive scale.

What are some synonyms for depravity?

Corruption, corruptness, vice, perversion, pervertedness, deviance, degeneracy, degradation, immorality, shamelessness, debauchery, licentiousness, lewdness, lasciviousness, salaciousness, obscenity, indecency, sordidness, wickedness, sinfulness, vileness, iniquity, nefariousness, criminality, viciousness, brutality, brutishness.

There are many more, but there is no need to lengthen the list. The above references are more than enough to make a statement.

Every day that passes sees more and more of this.

Why?

There are a few reasons. But it is largely due to the fact that so much of the world has become a Godless culture.

God has been kicked to the curb. He has been pushed out of most of the world’s institutions now, treated as an antiquated relic not worth giving one second of anyone’s consideration.

Human life has become worth nothing. In fact, the lives of animals hold more value than those of human beings in the eyes of many.

The scripture above says that God gave them over to their uncleanness (depravity). He allowed them time to repent. He showed grace for their sake. And when they refused to surrender to Him and repent, He handed them over to their sins.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, this is not something to be taken lightly. What we are witnessing is akin to the fall of Sodom. Yet, in all that we see, Sodom had gotten far worse than what we see today.

There were not enough righteous people in Sodom to prevent God from destroying it.

Today, however, there is a remnant; a group of believers who have set themselves apart to be used by God.

It is up to us to continue to fight and uphold the truth of God’s word and to live righteously in these very dark times.

We need to build ourselves up in our most holy faith (Jude 1:20-21), letting God strengthen us, teach us, guide us and use us for His glory.

Don’t lose hope! Cling to Him. Press in to Him. Feast on His word.

If we do this, we will do more than just survive this season; we will thrive!

So, put on the armor of God. And when you’ve done all, stand.

Ephesians 6:13 (NKJV) 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-4-21

Greetings in the name of Jesus!

It’s 2 AMPlease click to watch the video now. and you’re suddenly awake, seemingly for no reason at all. What do you do? Do you roll over and go back to sleep?

That’s the question we ask in today’s video, 2 AM.

Today we teach about those middle-of-the-night wake-ups that we sometimes view as not so pleasant, and maybe even not so welcome.

This video is short, fun and to the point. So, we hope you’ll take a few minutes (literally) and watch it.

Please click here to watch it now.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Sincerely,

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-3-21

Psalm 109:26 (NKJV) 26 Help me, O Lord my God! Oh, save me according to Your mercy…

God can do anything. Do we all agree?

Time after time we see all that He can and will do throughout the Old and New Testament.

So, if we can agree that He can do anything, why do we struggle in letting Him help us pull it together?

Why do we wait and try to do our best to fix things, and yet leave Him out of the picture? Are we trying to prove something to Him?

Let us stop trying to prove we can do it without Him. We need Him to help us deal with what we are facing.

If you are with me today on this, agree that God is going to help bring a light to the end of your tunnel. This light is going to shine brightly and show us our next step.

We are done walking in the dark, not knowing what to do. It’s time to seek God and let Him help shine that light and bring the answer.

Psalm 119:105 (NKJV) 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-2-21

Matthew 14:13-14 (NKJV) 13 When Jesus heard it, He departed from there by boat to a deserted place by Himself. But when the multitudes heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities. 14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.

Jesus was distraught. He had just learned of the death of his cousin and the one who announced His coming as the Messiah, John the Baptist.

So, He had left where He was by boat in order to find a place of solitude. He wanted to be alone for a while.

When He arrived at His destination, however, He was met by a large crowd who wanted to see Him.

As I read this, I was struck by the fact that the people there had no concern, consideration or compassion for Jesus.

They weren’t concerned that He may be tired or in need of solace and time alone. They just wanted what they wanted.

Jesus, on the other hand, had compassion for them.

What did He do? He spent the time needed to heal the sick among them.

I saw a great contrast between the carnal man and the Spirit of God, as Jesus went about doing what He was shown to do by the Father.

He didn’t put Himself above those in need. He ministered to them and served them.

So, I see two very important lessons for us in here.

1, that we have consideration for others. We empathize with them and meet them in their time of need. We set our wants aside and show consideration for someone who needs it.

2, that we put ourselves aside, even when we don’t necessarily feel like it, and we help those in need. Maybe they’re being selfish and self-centered, but if God says to help, then we help.

There is a delicate balancing act that we can learn here, knowing when to help others and when not to.

And there is a lesson to learn when it comes to pulling back, putting others before ourselves and giving them peace, quiet, rest and solitude when they need it.

As we allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us, He will surely show us what to do and what not to do, as well as when to do it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-1-21

John 14:26 (NKJV) 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Jesus was talking to the disciples here.

He didn’t expect them to be able to go into the world and preach the gospel by their own strength or understanding.

He knew they needed a Helper to accomplish what was before them.

Just as the disciples in the days of Jesus needed the Holy Spirit, so do we in our daily lives.

If we don’t let Him speak to our hearts when we need Him, that is our choice. But we need to understand that He is willing. I believe we need to call on Him for help at times. I believe the ears to our heart need to be always open to Him. And I believe that if we listen and follow His help we will accomplish, we will conquer and we will win the battles we face in the flesh every day!

We can’t wait until Sunday or Wednesday nights to get His words. We need Him every hour of every day, alive and able to freely speak to our hearts.

In order for us to shine God’s light and show His love in this world, we need to win the battles on the inside of us so that we can walk in the greatest gift of all; Love.

We need to be kind, and encouraging, but also firm when needed.

We can’t do this without our Helper. There is so much that affects us. We are flesh. We are emotional. We hurt at times, and we are weak.

2 Corinthians 12:10 (NKJV) 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

It is the Holy Spirit, our Helper, that makes us strong enough to do the things God asks of us.
