Bible Verse of The Day – 7-2-19

1 Peter 3:12 (NKJV) 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

How very encouraging! His eyes are on the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers.

Who are the righteous?

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

If we are without Christ, on our own, God sees us as sinners. But, through Christ we become the righteousness of God. As soon as we accept Jesus as our Lord, we step out of our old self and become a new creation.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

NEW… praises be to God!

Be comforted today. This is a promise to us. If we are in some kind of trouble, God knows. His very eyes see it and He’s listening to our prayers.

Doesn’t this just make you want to stand up and shout? Someone as great as our Lord has our back.

Don’t let the lies of the enemy, his little scare tactics, try and keep us walking around worried and trembling anymore. We have Jehovah Jireh watching and listening. We just have to keep talking, keep believing and keep walking! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-16-19

Psalm 23:1 (NKJV) 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

We shall not want. The Lord is our light, our strength, our refuge and our Rock. He’s merciful, kind, compassionate, and forgiving.

Every good and perfect gift is from Him. He does not change. He is our Provider. He is patient. He is our Healer, our Shield and the lifter of our heads.

Psalm 3:3 (NKJV) 3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.

He is Everything we need and more. He sustains us and helps us to see what is important in this life that we live.

This is a journey for all of us, and we must take it seriously. He has a plan and purpose for us while we are here. And as we seek Him, He will lead us through it.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-12-19

Psalm 98:4 (NKJV) 4 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.

Just the other day while driving down the road, I had this overwhelming feeling come over me as to how good God is. Have you ever had that feeling?

You are not thinking about anything in particular, just in the midst of whatever you are doing at that moment, and then bam…it hits you right there!

It was one of the most exciting feelings I have ever felt. Almost surreal. I can’ t even put it in words.

But, when it happens, everything in me wants to shout out with joy!

It’s actually good it happens in the car, since it’s just me and God and I can sing or shout as loud as I want!

The Lord’s love for us alone should make us want to shout every day.

I realize that God puts up with a lot from me. I can be very stubborn, selfish, annoying and so much more at times. But He still is there when I need Him.

Most people would run away saying, ”forget it, they are too much work for me to handle”.

But the Lord, He loves us in spite of our silliness and folly.

Can we give Him a shout out from our hearts today and praise Him? He is good!

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-28-18

Psalm 118:23 (NKJV) 23 This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.

I love when I’m just going along throughout my day and I notice something happen that I know was by God’s hand alone. It’s so special to me to know that we have Someone that is constantly concerned about our well-being. Even in the littlest ways, He will show up and remind us that we are not alone.

Taking notice of the little things that the Lord does for each one of us will help us in our faith walk. It will cause us to draw even closer to Him. Not just because of what He does for us, but because we can see the love and concern He has for us.

This will make us want to open up and share more of our personal things with Him, because we see He is listening and watching. When we notice the things that He does, it helps us to trust Him more. And we feel more at peace.

What are we seeing the Lord do before us today? Are our eyes open and alert to Him? Things don’t just happen by coincidence when we are His child. We are covered.

Psalm 17:8 (NKJV) 8 Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-10-18

Micah 6:8 (NKJV) 8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

God has shown us, hasn’t He? All that He did for you and I is written in His word. He made it very personal, because He is a personal, one-on-one Father.

What was spelled out in His word stands forever. It is truth for us, for our children and for their children, etc., for us to grab hold of and walk in daily.

His love toward us is so deep and strong. His word tells it all; All the wonderful things He has done for each one of us.

Don’t let anyone try to tell us we are of no worth or value. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was sent to us through a virgin. And He ultimately gave His life for us at Calvary, so that we may become the sons and daughters of the Almighty God, through His righteousness.

Will we take Him at His word today and live in the promises He has for us?

What is required to obtain such Goodness?

Believe in Him, and love Him back by doing what is right. Love mercy and walk humbly with Him each day on a personal level.
