Bible Verse of The Day – 2-24-19 – Waiting on Isaac

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus.

How many of us are waiting for a promise of God to come to pass? It’s safe to say that most of us are, in one way or another.

This week’s video, Waiting on Isaac, discusses waiting for God’s promises in our lives.

We talk about why it’s important to wait for it to come to us, instead of us getting impatient and trying to go after it.

We hope you’ll take a few minutes of your time and give this a watch.

Enjoy your day and keep pressing in to God.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-9-18

2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

For many centuries people have wondered and asked why God is taking so long for Jesus to return. After all, the world is a mess. Morals have decayed terribly. Violence is at all-time highs around the world. And so many other things are happening that make the world a challenging place to live.

So why is it that God has kept His people waiting here on earth for so very long, having to endure trials and hard times?

Because He is patient and doesn’t want anyone to perish without the chance to repent.

This may make no sense whatsoever to our minds. It may be hard for us to understand. In fact, we may not be able to understand it at all with our intellect.

But as we learn to know and hear God’s heart, we will begin to understand it a little at a time.

As humans, we tend to get angry with what we see happening around us. This can lead to frustration and may even cause us to have feelings toward others that we know God doesn’t want us to have. This brings us to a place where we need to lean on God every single day, to guide us and teach us to live by the Spirit and not by the flesh.

There is also the very major factor of God’s plans and the things that need to be carried out before He can return. There are many things that He has spoken of through His prophets that must happen. Only He knows the timing of those things.

But one thing is for sure. When the time is right, God will bring everything into order. In due season, He will put everything in its proper place.

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

So, don’t lose heart and don’t lose hope. God is faithful to do what He said He will do when He knows the time is right.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-19-18

Psalm 27:14 (NKJV) 14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Waiting on God is probably one of the hardest things we will have to learn to do. We say we have faith, but when it comes time for God to do something for us, we get impatient and our faith can start to falter.

This happens to almost everyone, so if it has happened to you, or is happening now, don’t be ashamed. The human flesh is weak, even when our spirit wants to be strong.

Jesus spoke of this, in the garden of Gethsemane, when he found His disciples sleeping instead of praying.

Matthew 26:41 (NKJV) 41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Learning to wait patiently on God is something that takes time and practice to become better at. And, in all honesty, it also requires a great deal of faith. So, if our faith is weak, our ability to wait patiently on God will also be weak.

This doesn’t mean that we set out on some fantastic journey to grow our faith. Pursuing faith for the sake of having faith can get us into trouble. Instead, we need to pursue God and strengthen our relationship with Him. In turn, our faith will grow because it will be rooted in Him, not in some notion that pursuing faith will fix all of our problems.

One last thing I’d like to mention before we wrap this up. Learning to wait on God means that we are in a situation where we need something from Him. And, many times, the need will be great and may seem urgent to us. This makes waiting that much harder.

But as we grow in Him, we will learn to hear the words He speaks to us, follow them faithfully, and trust Him as we do this, all the while waiting on Him for the outcome that He knows is best for us in each situation.

Wait on Him. Trust Him while we’re waiting. And enjoy the journey.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-27-18

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Nowadays, everything is so fast paced. If we want a coffee or beverage we can go to the drive-through, and just like that our thirst is quenched. The same if we are hungry. Everything is instant.

Transferring money from one bank account to another is instant. We get ahold of people through text messages. We really don’t have to wait for anything. It’s all right there at our finger tips.

This has created a society of impatience. We don’t want to wait. Not even for the things that God has for us. We get into such a fast paced mode that if God takes too long, forget it, we will do it ourselves. Instead of waiting for our answer from God, we will go get it somewhere else.

A lot of leaders today are falling right into this kind of practice. They want everything now, with an attitude that says, “Why do we have to wait on God, we can manufacture it and the people will love it?”. Why? Because it is what they want too.

This is so dangerous. It’s so fake, artificial, and counterfeit. It won’t last long and it wont take long before we realize it doesn’t work.

Jesus says, my sheep hear my voice and follow.

John 10:27 (NKJV) 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

We can make all the excuses for participating in this type of behavior in our walk with God. But if we fall for it, we are responsible for how things turn out.

God knows whether we are truly seeking Him for His answer by avoiding all the fake, fancy, and pretty stuff and sticking with Him.

Those that wait on Him will renew their strength.

It’s our choice whether or not we mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, and we walk and not faint.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-15-18

Mark 9:23 (NKJV) 23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Believing in what God tells us is the first step toward receiving. But there is more to it than just believing. We must not stop there.

Sometimes God will give what we need in steps. He may do His step first, then He may show us a step to take. Some things come in lots of steps. So, don’t lose hope. But be patient.

Patience is a big part of receiving God’s answers or plans for our situation. If we try to force something to happen, it will not turn out the same or be complete, the way it would be if we let God move on our behalf.

James 1:4 (NKJV) 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

So many times, God will show us what He would like to do in our situation. And if we are not careful, our first reaction will ruin God’s plan quickly. Why? Because we step out on our own and we try to do it all in the natural.

But there are things in the spiritual realm that need to be tended to first and foremost, and only God can show us what that is and how to do it.

We have to remember that there is an enemy, a devil, that roams around and wants to take us out. He wants to kill and destroy anything that’s good.

Just as King Herod was after the baby Jesus, he had all the babies killed. Why? Because something great and something GOOD was coming!!

The devil doesn’t like good. He moved through the heart of Herod and brought destruction to all those little babies. His goal was to kill Jesus, which would kill God’s plan.

Matthew 2:16 (NKJV) 16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.

He will try and take out anything that is going to be good for us too. He is the enemy that we battle against!

We need the Holy Spirit to help us receive the things that God has spoken to us. He will help us to hold onto our faith. He will help us know the direction we need to go. And He will help us to keep our mind sound and focused.

There are a lot of people in the middle of a battle right now, tired and having no idea what step to take next. It’s not over for you. God is saying, “you will win if you surrender it to Me and listen. I will take you all the way.”

If this is you today, we want you to write or call us, and we will pray with you and stand in agreement for God to take you “the rest of the way through”. As you surrender it completely to Him, and follow His direction, you will come out on the other side of this war. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-15-18

Psalm 27:14 (NKJV) 14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Oh, how we hate that word, “wait”. Nobody likes to wait for anything, including waiting on God. It just doesn’t sit well with how we like things to be.

But wisdom and experience will teach us that waiting on God is exactly what we need to do. Doing anything other will set us up for a tough situation.

God’s word is loaded with verses telling us to wait on God, including those telling us to wait patiently.

And that’s the hard part for most of us, the patience aspect of it. But, you see, that’s where the real test starts right there.

When something takes a while to play out, a lot of us tend to get antsy. We can’t sit still long enough to let God put all of the pieces in place and orchestrate His plans. So, we start taking things into our own hands and making choices and decisions on our own.

This shows how feeble our faith in Him can be at times. Is that meant to be an insult? Not at all. It’s just a piece of truth that we all need to recognize in ourselves if we are to grow and mature in our faith as a believer.

That all starts to come about when we understand that God moves in different ways, and at different speeds, during different seasons in our lives.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) 3 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

We encourage you today to wait on God. Wait patiently for Him to guide your steps. And when He does move, we need to make sure we’re ready to follow His leading. And watch His awesome plans unfold right before our eyes.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-16-16

James 1:3 (NKJV) 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

Patience comes by first praying, asking, having faith and learning to wait; Having faith that the answer will come when and how God wants it to.

Waiting isn’t a bad thing. It’s not terrible. It is actually good for us! Waiting teaches us patience. It builds that muscle nice and strong.

You know how it feels when you build a muscle that hasn’t been worked in a while? Oh, it can hurt sometimes!

Well, waiting can feel the same way. However, just as that muscle hurts at first, it does start to feel better after time goes by and it gets stronger.

The same goes for waiting. It will get better and a little easier as time goes by and we learn to accept that it’s good for us, and we embrace it.

If we can’t wait for some things, how will we ever receive what God has for us? Or have we made up our minds that if it doesn’t come quickly enough, or in the time frame that we give it, we simply give up and move on to something else? Or do we just step in and take care of it ourselves?

Waiting teaches us patience, and how we wait is important as well.

Do we grumble and complain while waiting? We shouldn’t, even though it may feel good at times.

Are we sad and depressed, hanging our heads feeling sorry for ourselves? That’s not going to help or get God to move any quicker. Do we feel like nothing is going to make us happy until we get what we want, so others around us have to deal with our misery and bad attitude? It won’t work! If anything, it will prolong the wait.

While waiting, we should continue to do what we know to do. Not just in a ho hum way, simply going through the motions, but in a way that we are expecting and knowing that God is moving! We put everything into what we know to keep doing while we wait for God’s answer to come to pass.

We move with enthusiasm and excitement! We do it to the best of our ability, knowing that God is faithful no matter how long it takes.

This is called persevering; Pushing through and reaching that place where we will see His hand move on our behalf. Amen.

Romans 8:25 (NKJV) 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-15-15

Psalm 27:14 (NKJV) 14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Things change and this requires us to change with them at times. The thing that drives us crazy is when something changes and we don’t always know what changes to make on our end.

Not long ago, we were faced with a complete change in our situation. We were like, “OK God, you have our attention, what do we do?”

Everything was different. We tried to keep on doing what we were used to doing, hoping things would go back to the way they were. But it was not helping or working. So, we began to just pull back, pray, listen and watch.

It wasn’t long before God began to give us direction. We had to make some serious changes. Big changes from what we were used to doing and the way we were used to doing them.

I’ll admit, new stuff stresses me out. I like repetition and routine. I like knowing what I need to do and just doing it.

I had to learn that when change comes, I can’t lose heart. I can’t throw in the towel and think that everything we were doing before was pointless and a complete waste of time.

There are steps in life, and these steps will take us from one place to another.

God will help us find the right steps to take as we wait on Him. And while we are waiting, He will teach us to be of good courage.

That means no grumbling, whining, being frustrated, or acting out in anger. Simply wait on Him with a right attitude. He will strengthen our hearts.
