Your Daily Bible Verse – 11-5-11

(John 3:3 KJV) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

We clearly see the key here is to be “born again” if we hope to see the kingdom of God.  The word born represents newness. That means something new is going to take place.

Nicodemus was trying to understand what Jesus was telling Him by being born again. (John 3:4 KJV) Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

How many of us have thought the same way as Nicodemus, trying to figure it all out? It’s so neat that He asked Jesus this so that we can all understand the process that takes place here. Jesus told him in (John 3:6 KJV) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

We must ask Jesus to be our Lord and Savior, repenting of our sinful nature and the way we used to do things in the flesh, and He will give us a newness! His Spirit will come into us and we are BORN AGAIN, born of His Spirit. It’s a new day!! God is with us, living in us!!

Today, if you have not asked Jesus into your life, to be your savior, don’t wait. Time is precious and we do not know what tomorrow will bring. Live today and be free in Christ!!

Your Daily Bible Verse – 11-4-11

(Mark 12:31 NKJV)  “And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

This is a hard commandment. Loving our neighbor can be a difficult thing to do sometimes.

We may think that it’s not hard, but if we truly understand the meaning of it we will know how difficult it can be to really love our neighbor.

Our neighbor isn’t always the person living right next door to us. Sometimes it’s a person we see frequently in a local place. Sometimes it might be referring to someone we work with. And then other times it might be someone who is literally our neighbor, living right next to us.

In order to love them, we need to learn to see them through God’s eyes. We need to have God’s compassion for them. We need to see them as lost and without hope, just as we were before God saved us.

If we can learn to see them this way it will make it much easier to have compassion for them and to love them.

If God can love us in spite of our sin, we can love our neighbors in spite of theirs.

Your Daily Bible Verse – 11-3-11

(Jer 24:7 NKJV)  ‘Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

God wants our whole heart. It’s not good enough for Him if we only give Him a small place.

There are things we like to do on our own and then there are those things we allow God to help us with. Sometimes our hearts are so tied up with other things that we forget God and He gets put on a shelf until we need Him again.

When we get to a point in our lives where we have seen God move over and over again, we won’t have a problem with giving Him our whole heart. It makes it easier for us to trust Him.

He longs for us to know Him more intimately because once we do, watch out!! The closer we are to Him, the more we will trust Him. We will speak to the mountain and It will MOVE!!

Do you have a mountain you need moved today? Let Him be your God and move it!!

Your Daily Bible Verse – 11-2-11

(Gen 6:18 NKJV)  “But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark; you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

Covenant. This word appears in the Bible 313 times! A covenant is obviously something that God takes seriously.

We, as God’s children, need to also take this seriously. Nowadays we very rarely hear about covenants. Everything today is about contracts and legal agreements.

Generally speaking, our word isn’t worth much anymore, at least in the eyes of others. The verbal agreement is almost a thing of the past because nobody seems to honor what they say they will do.

It may be this way between men, but it’s not the case with God. God still honors covenants. He will honor a covenant between two or more people and He honors covenants between people and Himself.

Entering into a covenant with God isn’t hard and doesn’t require a ritual. It’s simply a matter of determining in your heart that you are going to do or not do something, and then laying it before God and vowing before Him to do or not to do that thing.

Years ago we entered into a covenant with God that we would tithe from our income, no matter how our financial situation was. Whether we were abounding or struggling, we determined in our hearts that we needed to do this. We laid it before God and consecrated it before Him.

Because we made that agreement with Him, and not just between the two of us, we have honored it. And He has honored it by blessing us in many different ways.

Take what you say and do seriously before God. If you say something or intend to do something, make sure you mean it. If you feel that it’s something serious, lay it before God. Make Him a part of it. If you honor your end of it, He will honor His end of it also.

Your Daily Bible Verse – 11-1-11

(Prov 22:2 NKJV)  The rich and the poor have this in common, The LORD is the maker of them all.

This says it all. This speaks to everyone who has ever lived and who will ever live.

We might also say that the righteous and the unrighteous have this same thing in common.

It doesn’t matter what walk of life we come from, we all have this one thing in common. God created us.

There isn’t a single one of us who is better than any of the rest. It doesn’t matter whether we were born into a poor family or the wealthiest family in the world.

God created us all equal. We all have good days and we all have bad days. We all have strengths and we all have weaknesses.

Any time we start to feel like we’re better than someone, all we need to do is remind ourselves that we do many of the same things as those who have less than us.

If we start to feel like we’re lower than others, we need to remind ourselves that we do many of the same things as the wealthy people.

God shows no favor to class, citizenship, race, sex, caste, skin color, height, weight, age and whatever else we can think of. These are all of man and have no bearing with God.

God created you and He loves you. Never forget this.
