Bible Verse of The Day – 11-4-15

Galatians 1:6-7 (NKJV) 6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

There are many things that will try to pass themselves off as being of God.

God has given us His word and His spirit to help us discern the truth from the lies.

Many of these things that come our way look and sound like God, and will walk a parallel path to His path. But when they are compared to the true Word of God, they are revealed as nothing more than false teachings and heresies.

We need to be careful about what we take in, what we believe and what we practice. This may seem tough to do when there is so much information available to us these days. But if we trust His Spirit and use His Word as a measuring stick, we can never go wrong.

So if you hear, read or see something that doesn’t seem quite right, test it. Look for it in God’s word. Compare it. Let the Holy Spirit show you what’s what.

He is faithful to show us if we’re diligent to hear Him!

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-3-15

Proverbs 3:9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Are we struggling today with finances? Are we tired of trying to always make ends meet? Does it seem like we are working so hard, but we keep falling behind?

Even though we work hard, we get increases, and we are doing everything we can,  it is not enough if we are not honoring God with our firstfruits. This step is crucial if we want to grow.

God does not force us to do anything, He give us the answers to our problems and it’s up to us to believe in Him and take the steps.

If we are serious and we want to change the outcome of our present situation, take this verse to heart and act on it today.

He is faithful!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-2-15

Deuteronomy 6:5 (NKJV) 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

God wants our whole heart. He wants to be our everything.

The great thing about God is that He is our everything. He is sufficient for every need that we have. Salvation, forgiveness, love, hope, joy, provision. You name it, He’s the one we need.

The world will try to tell us that God isn’t enough. Some will say we don’t need God at all, if He even exists.

Others will tell us that God is OK, but we also need other things, in addition to God.

They will try to sell us on things like astrology, the power of positive thinking, meditation, new age philosophies and so many other things that are contrary to God’s word.

But we don’t need any of those things. And, honestly, we should be running the opposite way when we see those things or if they try to pull us in. They will dilute the true gospel, if we let them.

God is sufficient. He doesn’t need anything else. And neither do we!
