Bible Verse of The Day – 12-31-25

Revelation 5:5 (LSB) 5 And one of the elders said to me, “Stop crying! Behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

We sometimes hear Jesus referred to as “the Lion of the tribe of Judah”.

What does this mean for us as followers of Christ?

Lions are seen as conquerors. They are fearless and not easily challenged or defeated.

They rule their territory triumphantly, with strength, power, and absolute authority.

There is great comfort in this since we have placed ourselves under His care, allowing Him to shepherd and protect us, His flock.

Jesus has authority that is righteous and irrevocable. It cannot be taken from Him. Nor can He be defeated.

The reference to Judah stems from His earthly lineage. Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, was a descendant of David who was also a member of the tribe of Judah.

The fact that Jesus has His lineage in the tribe of Judah is also significant since this tribe was a tribe from which many kings of Israel came.

His absolute authority can be seen in the verse above, where He possessed the power and authority to open the seals on the scroll, when no one else could open them.

Jesus was the only One who ever defeated death, rising from His grave on the third day, defying everything known to man, and later ascending to sit at the right hand of God.

He was victorious in defeating sin, walking the earth in human form for 33 years, and doing so perfectly.

And His pure, holy blood was spilled for us, to redeem us from our sins, offering us freedom that no manmade ritual or tradition could offer.

The book of Revelation names Him KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, above all else on the earth or in heaven, for eternity.

Revelation 19:16 (NKJV) 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Amen 🙏

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-30-25

1 Corinthians 12:28 (NKJV) 28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.

And God has appointed these in the church.

But today, let’s look at one that is probably the least desired; the gift that everyone wants to leave for others to do.

Helps.

This gift has been given to the church. How do we walk in such a gift? By the leading of the Holy Spirit.

He will guide us in our gift of helps. He will guide us as to who to help, when to help, and how to help.

This gift is crucial and frequently overlooked. There are so many who are suffering and hurting in this world. Help is needed everywhere, in every place, and at any moment.

It’s needed to be functioning within, and outside of, the church.

How do we help?

Luke 10:33-35 (NKJV) 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’

This is a perfect example of the gift of helps.

When we see a need, we must see through the eyes of Jesus and let Him move us with His compassion.

Then we cry out to Him for guidance as to how to help. We care for them in the way that the Holy Spirit guides us. We go the extra mile. We don’t think about it; we just do what He leads us to do in that moment.

His guidance in the gift of helps is very much needed and will keep us balanced in all that we do. Remember that as we do whatever it is, it is all for the glory of God!

Amen 🙏

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-29-25

1 Kings 19:12 (NKJV) 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.

What interferes with us hearing God?

The Noise Inside Our Heads. This noise is detrimental to our walk with God and our ability to hear Him.

What noise are we referring to? Worries, anxiety, fretting, cares, and fears that we carry in our minds.

Looking at the opening scripture, it is important to note that it references a still, small voice.

If we look at the verses prior to the one above, God spoke to Elijah, telling him to leave the cave where he had been hiding, and go stand on the mountain.

Then God passed by the cave. And there were great disturbances!

A strong wind was tearing up the mountains and breaking the rocks to pieces before God. But God was not in the wind.

After the wind, a great earthquake and a fire. But God was not in the earthquake, nor in the fire.

And after the fire, there came a gentle whisper.

As Elijah heard the whisper, he wrapped his face in a mantle and stood at the entrance to the cave. God then spoke to him further, telling him many very important things.

It is important for us to note that the phrase “still, small voice” is also translated as a thin, gentle whisper, or silence.

If God speaks in a whisper, or so softly that it could be mistaken for silence, how will we hear Him if our heads are always overflowing with thoughts, worries, anxieties, and fears?

We must learn to walk in God’s peace, letting him silence our fears and worries.

His word tells us that His peace will guard our hearts and minds. This is a promise of God that we must understand and heed.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

So, let us pray, making our requests known to Him, with an attitude of thankfulness and gratitude.

Verse 7, above, tells us that as we do this, the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds.

And it is this that silences the noise in our heads, allowing us to more easily hear the voice of God, even in a thin, gentle whisper 🙏

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-28-25 – God’s Mysterious Nature

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

We serve a God who is far too big and mysterious for our human minds to fully comprehend.

And we have a new video for you today that discusses this fact.

In the video, God’s Mysterious Nature, we teach about the mysteries of God and His word, and why we must accept that there are some things that we will never know or have answers for.

We had fun recording this one, and we hope you enjoy it.

Please click here to watch the video now.

We hope the video brings you clarity and a fresh understanding.

We love you all!

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-27-25

Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

As we recently celebrated Thanksgiving Day here in America, I got up early to prepare my turkey and side dishes.

After dinner I rested and ended up falling asleep. Naps after Thanksgiving dinner are the best!

When I woke up from my nap, my next door neighbors were on my heart. I felt like God wanted me to bring them over some food.

They are an older couple, in their 80’s, and I think of them frequently, especially if they have been sick or are having health complications.

But today was different. I didn’t know if they needed anything.

God literally put them on my heart. And I had a million excuses as to why I shouldn’t bring a dish over to them. But I did it anyway.

They were very grateful and couldn’t thank us enough for thinking of them on this day. God is so good! He always knows what others need.

What caught my attention the most about this was that we should never think that everyone is OK just because of what we see on the surface, or what we may know about them.

We must listen to that still small voice that speaks to our spirit.

Obey it; we can’t try to talk ourselves out of doing good things for people just because we can’t see the need from our own perspective.

Whether it’s a hot meal or just checking in on someone, whatever God puts on our hearts, we shouldn’t question it or reason it away.

Do what He is asking us to do; it touches the lives of others and shows His love through our actions. We represent Him every day we are alive. When people see our good works, they see Him!

1 Corinthians 12:27 (NKJV) 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

Who has He laid on your heart today?

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-26-25

Hebrews 3:15 (NKJV) 15 while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

We make the choice as to whether we will hear or if we will harden our hearts.

Sometimes we won’t like the thing we hear because God’s way is different than ours. That does not mean we should disobey if we don’t like His answer.

Isaiah 55:8 (NKJV) 8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

Yes, we may get mad. We might have a fit. But we must be careful not to harden our heart in the process.

Talk to God. Let Him know how we feel. But then let Him show us. Let Him take our anger and bring understanding.

We can refuse it; it’s our choice. But if we want to walk His walk, we have to submit our life to Him; our plans, and our desires.

Don’t let hardness in; hear His voice.

What He has to say will make a difference. It may not always be right away.

But give Him time to make it beautiful.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV) 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-25-25 – Merry Christmas!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Regardless of your geographical location on the earth, we wanted to reach out with a personal note to extend the love of Christ to you on this Christmas day.

We have all been given an incredible gift that could never have an accurate price tag attached to it; redemption by the blood of Christ through faith in Him.

We may all be uniquely created by our God. But we have our faith in Christ in common; a bond that cannot be broken by distance.

And it is this bond that knits us together as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Our prayer for you is that you walk in the love and mercy of God, growing in reverence toward Him, understanding His incredible love for you, and drawing nearer to Him with each passing day.

We love you immensely, and we hope you enjoy this day of celebrating Christ’s birth.

Amen 🙏

Sincerely in Christ,

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-24-25

1 Peter 4:1-2 (LSB) 1 Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose—because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin— 2 so as to no longer live the rest of the time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

These are truly interesting words penned by Peter.

Let’s dig into them to better understand what he was referring to.

His initial few words refer to Christ suffering in the flesh; literal wounds to His body.

But he then turns this to believers, urging us to arm ourselves with the same purpose.

This is not implying that we should intentionally seek opportunities to subject ourselves to physical harm just for the sake of suffering.

Peter is referring to a level of maturity whereby which we would accept physical suffering for the sake or the cause of Christ.

He is not implying that suffering itself purifies us. Rather, when our willingness to endure suffering for Christ outweighs our desire to satisfy the flesh, it reveals that we are no longer living to pursue our fleshly desires.

Our willingness to suffer shows that obedience to God matters more to us than comfort and pleasure.

Physically suffering for the One who died to pay for our sins helps us recognize the futility of fleshly pursuits; chasing after fruitless endeavors, lusting after people and things.

We realize that these things are, as Solomon so aptly stated, chasing after the wind; empty and in vain.

When we reach a point in our lives where we are willing to suffer for Christ, it shows maturity and the fact that our will is aligned with God’s will.

We have come to understand the Biblical concept of being bought at a price, and being willing to stand up for our faith, even if it means suffering for doing so.

The pleasures of the flesh become meaningless to us.

When we stand for our faith, we may lose social standing or become the subject of mocking and ridicule. Or we may experience being mistreated in various ways aside from physical affliction or harm.

These losses only confirm that our desires have been transformed by the Holy Spirit, no longer determined to please ourselves, but the One who shed His blood for us.

But Jesus prepared us well ahead of time to face such things when He spoke these words.

John 16:33 (LSB) 33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-23-25

Genesis 7:1 (NKJV) 1 Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.

Who was speaking to Noah? The Lord. What did He tell him that He saw? That Noah was righteous before Him.

What does it mean to be righteous before God?

The Hebrew word for righteous is “Tsaddiq”, meaning one who is right, just, clear, clean, righteous: a person who is characterized by fairness, integrity, and justice in his dealings. It conveys justice and integrity in one’s lifestyle.

None of us can be perfect. But if we have the desire to work toward it and let God teach us, repenting when we mess up, and submitting to Him for help in the areas where we are weak, this is what God sees in us.

It says in Gen 6:9 that Noah was a just man, perfect or blameless, having integrity. He walked with God by faith.

What does it mean that he walked with God?

In our own lives, it means we make a choice to trust the Lord and to keep or obey what His word teaches us. To commune with Him and be aware of His presence at all times, following His lead, His examples, His path.

Noah’s heart was after God.

Some may ask, how does God become so personal to us? As we seek Him, we will find Him, His answers, His direction, His comfort. etc.

God will speak to our spirit through prayer. He will also use His Word to speak to us. He may use a person. He might even use a situation.

He will meet us where we are and guide us in a way that we will understand and know that it is Him.

Are we listening for Him? Or do we think He will never speak to us?

Do we think that He only spoke to those who lived in the Bible times? The devil would love for us to believe that, and never ask God for help or guidance, and to never seek Him for anything.

We want you to know today that God will speak to you. If you need answers or direction, He would love to guide you as His child.

We don’t have to walk this road alone. He is with us.

Matthew 28:20 (NKJV) 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-22-25

2 Peter 1:3 (NLT) 3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.

As children of God, He has equipped each of us with everything we need to live godly lives.

He shows no partiality (Romans 2:11), so we were each given the same measure. No one is underequipped.

We are without excuse if we choose to make poor moral choices.

The verse above states plainly that we receive this (the ability and strength to make good moral choices) by coming to know Him.

Therefore, if we lack proper judgment and moral fortitude, it can be concluded that we have failed to get to know Him.

And check out what verse 4 tells us.

2 Peter 1:4 (NLT) 4 And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

By His promises, we share His divine nature! He has sown into us what is needed for us to walk upright and just before Him.

Verse 5 tells us that, because of all this (God’s promises and provision), we are to “supplement our faith with a generous provision of moral excellence”.

Moral excellence!

Peter is very outspoken with what he is sharing and implying. But let’s read further!

In verse 8, he begins to summarize it all.

2 Peter 1:8 (NLT) 8 The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Are we productive and useful in our knowledge of Jesus Christ?

And in verse 9, he drives it all home.

2 Peter 1:9 (NLT) 9 But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.

Are we blind? Or are we shortsighted, forgetting that we have been cleansed from our old sins?

This group of verses gives us all much food for thought; deep reasons to ponder our relationship with God and our growth and maturity as a believer.

May we sincerely and fervently seek God in these matters, asking Him to reveal our hearts to us.
