Proverbs 19:3 (NLT) 3 People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord.
Oh, how I love the wisdom found in the book of Proverbs!
There is so much to glean from the tidbits of common sense to guide our lives.
Have you ever made foolish choices, and then become angry at the outcome of those choices?
Some people make foolish decisions and then direct their anger at God when everything falls apart.
Even believers fall into this trap at times, shaking their fists at God when things go wrong.
But it’s important for us to understand that God has given us everything we need to make sound decisions and do the right thing; His word, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and fellow believers to consult for counsel.
They are all at our disposal to draw from when faced with situations that require choices to be made, whether small or life-altering.
Let us always be quick to ask questions and slow to move when it comes to the things that we face daily.
And let us always look to God for help with those choices, knowing that the responsibility for choosing wisely rests squarely on our shoulders.
