Category: Showing God’s Love to Others

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-21-25

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV) 22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

God’s mercy is new every morning for us all.

The one thing we all have in common is that we need God’s mercy!

God shows us mercy and has compassion when we’ve done the most awful things. We all have had our share; and sometimes still do. We cannot deny it.

Thank God He is merciful!

It can be hard for people to understand and comprehend God’s mercy. Why?

Because in our hearts we have never shown tenderness toward those who have done us wrong. Instead, we want them to suffer or get the punishment we feel they deserve.

To want to see those who have done us wrong be punished is a desire of the flesh.

It’s only when we allow the Spirit of God to touch our hearts that we can sincerely want to do the opposite of what our flesh would love to say or do.

Showing mercy to others is something that we must truly desire, and in that we must allow God to lead us. Because without His strength of love working in us, we will struggle with this. It won’t be sincere.

The thing that helps me in this area is to remember the mercy, the compassion, the pity, and the benevolence He has shown me so many times when I didn’t deserve it.

Without hesitation He was there, with His arms open wide.

I keep it dear to my heart. And when I look at that one who is standing before me, and my flesh is saying, “give them what they deserve,” the Holy Spirit says, “remember what I did for you.”

Which voice will we listen to at that moment?

God is faithful in giving mercy. And we, His children, need to follow in His steps with all sincerity and love.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-11-25

Ephesians 4:15 (NKJV) 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—

When we speak to others about Christ, it must be done with the same love that spoke to us. He draws them unto Himself.

Remember the first time we heard about Christ, and it touched us so deeply? We felt something we had never felt before.

As a child, it got me right up out of my seat and drew me to the altar. I knew I’d never felt that touch in my heart like I did that day.

It was compassion, love and truth all at once. It brought such satisfying comfort to me, even as young as I was. It quenched every bit of thirst in me. It was God drawing me to Himself.

John 12:32 (NKJV) 32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”

That same love will speak through us and tell people the truth that they need to hear in that moment.

Open up today and share His love with those He leads us to. Don’t be afraid to speak the truth in love.

God, bless our hearts with your presence, and let Your words of truth be loosed from our mouths through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-30-16

1 John 4:12(NKJV) 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

When we do something out of kindness and love, for someone who is in trouble, struggling, lonely, mistreated, etc., we just took advantage of an opportunity to show them God and His love toward them.

Even though no one has seen God at any time, through our actions of love, using our hands, feet, words, finances, and whatever else God shows us to do for others, His love becomes perfected in us.

God’s love is shown through our actions. The very things we do for others. The very way we carry ourselves.

If we get upset and we start flipping out, hollering and accusing, looking down at someone because of their weakness, errors, faults, etc., we then completely give up what could be the only opportunity we may get to show them God.

Be alert and on guard for these moments. Not only will they change the life of someone in need, but they will change our lives as well, as we see God move through us.

Love you all. Keep on being a light!

Matthew 5:14 (NKJV) 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
