Bible Verse of The Day – 10-14-25

Genesis 1:27 (NKJV) 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

God created us man and woman.

It’s His creation. We don’t get to change who He made us. We don’t get to choose whether we are male or female; He already did that.

No matter how we try to believe we are someone else, He gave us a body to remind us of who we are.

We may try and change our body parts, remove them or add to them. We can try to change the way we walk, talk and carry ourselves. But no matter how hard we try, it will not work. We are who God made us to be.

The devil would love to keep us on a road that will end in destruction. This road will bring confusion, depression, anger, and frustration.

But he’s a liar and always will be.

He will try to get us to think it’s all good. But in our heart, we struggle with knowing it’s all wrong. We will never reach a point of being at peace with ourselves if we stay on this path.

Today will never come again. It’s our moment to get right with God. It’s our chance to stop this painful journey we’ve been on.

Prayer of deliverance…

Dear God in Heaven,

I come to You today with a heart full of pain. I hurt from the decisions I’ve made. I am so lost and confused; I need help. I need Your salvation and deliverance to wash me clean and help me to start over. My mind needs renewing, my heart needs cleansing.

I repent of those things I’ve been doing, (be specific). I’m sorry for going against You, and I’m ready to surrender my heart and the temple You have created. I accept who You have made me to be.

I’m at my weakest, with my hands lifted, and I ask You Lord, to send those who can help guide me down the right path.

I ask for Your hand; I will hold it tightly. In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ I pray. Amen

Psalm 46:1 (NKJV) 1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-13-25

1 Corinthians 12:27 (LSB) 27 Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.

As members of the body of Christ, we are each unique, tasked by God with specific duties or works to carry out in our lives.

You may be a hand. Another may be a foot. Still another may be an arm or leg.

And each of us will likely be used as various body parts for specific seasons or purposes that God asks us to carry out.

Many of us have heard, or been told, that we are the “hands and feet of Christ.”

While this phrase is nowhere to be found in the word of God, it is a truth that each of us should live out daily; bringing Jesus to those who need Him in any given moment.

We use the gifts and talents that God has placed within each of us to impart little pieces of God into those we encounter along life’s path.

Today I had an opportunity to do this in a way that I had not expected. And this is frequently the way it happens; unannounced and spontaneous.

This is why it’s so critical that we each remain prepared and willing to obey when God swings the door open for us to represent Him.

We may never know the impact that we have in our daily interactions with others; people we have never met and may never see again.

How we handle ourselves and behave in split second decisions can have lifelong effects on other human lives; effects may mean more than we could ever comprehend.

Let us not worry about which part of the body we are; a hand, a foot, an eye, an ear, or any other part.

Each is equally important. And we do not get to choose which part we are on any given day or in any given moment.

We simply need to be sure to answer the call when God brings it around.

And in doing so, we glorify God by being there when someone needs us most.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-12-25 – The Truth About Believing

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

The Bible says that as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.

That word, believe, is critical in this verse and many others.

But do we fully understand what that word truly means in the Biblical context of these verses?

We have a new video for you that explains it all!

In this video, The Truth About Believing, we dive into what “believe” means by examining the Greek word from the original manuscripts. And let’s just say that it is absolutely eye-opening!

We hope you’ll watch this new video, and that it helps bring a better understanding of the word, believe!

Please click here to watch the video now.

We hope this video shines new light on this word and that light helps make your walk with God stronger.

We love you all.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-11-25

Matthew 5:3 (NKJV) 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Upon studying this verse, I needed to understand what He meant, first by “poor in spirit”. This would allow me to know who receives the kingdom of heaven!

Another word for poor in this statement would be, humble.

According to proverbs 16:19 it is better to be of a humble spirit. It’s when we are humble that God can look upon us.

In Isaiah 66:2 who does God say He looks upon?

He says, on all those things I made, and of all the things that exist, it is on this one I will look; him who is poor (humble) and of a contrite spirit, the one who trembles at His word.

His Spirit will live and rest upon a man, woman, or child  who walks in such humility.

To be poor in spirit means that we have acknowledged a great need for Him, the importance of repentance, and Him saving us from our sinful selves.

We acknowledge, through a humble heart, that we must let Him change us and lead us the rest of our lives in our day to day activities and decisions.

Being poor in spirit is humility that comes through a God-changed heart.

We are blessed, for our home is with Him.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-10-25

John 20:6-7 (LSB) 6 And so Simon Peter also came, following him, and entered the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there, 7 and the face-cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings, but folded up in a place by itself.

We used these verses recently in another devotional. But today we’d like to use them again to teach from a different perspective; one that will further strengthen our faith!

The verses above state that they “saw the linen wrappings lying there”.

There was no body.

The tomb was empty and the linen cloth that had been used to wrap the body of Jesus was lying there, no longer covering or wrapping His body.

Additionally, the scripture says that the face cloth which had been on His head was “folded up in a place by itself”

Now, many of you reading this may think that we are going to discuss a supposed tradition regarding the folding of the napkin indicating that Jesus did this to signify His return.

But this theory that has been used many times in modern preaching has no basis or historical proof. It is more folklore or legend than fact.

However, there is still much significance in the fact that the cloth was folded!

First, the intentional folding of the cloth is proof that there was no grave robbery. There was no chaotic, hurried removal of His body by thieves in the night.

Instead, there was purposeful action on the part of Jesus. He took the time to fold the cloth instead of simply tossing it aside!

Now, what His intention was with the folded napkin remains a mystery. It is something we may never understand fully.

But that’s OK! Some things are not meant for us to know.

This is why we call it “walking by faith”. We trust God without having to know the tiniest little details of everything.

What we do know, though, is that the folded cloth in the tomb quietly and powerfully testified that Jesus rose in victory, not by theft or accident, but with divine authority and purpose.

He did not leave the grave still wrapped in cloths, as Lazarus did. Instead, He exited the grave as a sign of His authority and sovereignty, even over death.

And in that, we can find great comfort and a strengthening of our faith.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-9-25

John 21:12 (NKJV) 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord.

Sitting out on my patio this Sunday afternoon, the breeze is so welcoming.

The chimes are chiming a beautiful tune because of the gentle breeze. The birds are singing. And the sounds of the birds, the wind in the leaves, the chiming of my chimes is all so relaxing and peaceful.

Oh, how wonderful is our God.

He is all around me. He is everywhere.

Where are each of us today?

Are we busy with life?

Have the things that we once held up as important slowly been removed from our thoughts because we have gotten caught up in the busyness of this thing called life?

Are we missing out on the important thing; our solitude?

Let us take this time and get it back. Slow this vehicle down. Put the brakes on.

There is more to this life than the demands life puts on us.

God has called us to come and dine with Him.

Will we accept His invitation today?

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-8-25

Romans 10:3 (LSB) 3 For not knowing about the righteousness of God and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

Reading through the apostle Paul’s epistles is truly beneficial to our walk with God.

We gain insights and understanding that are crucial to our growth and maturity as a believer.

But sometimes the wording may make these difficult to understand.

It can pay in large dividend for us to dig and research to find the truth in these writings.

In the verse above, Paul refers to people who did not know about the righteousness of God. He then states that they were “seeking to establish their own”.

Their own what? What was it that they were seeking to establish?

They tried to establish their own way of becoming righteous in God’s sight.

Doesn’t that sound just like us stubborn, fickle humans? We shun God’s way and try to do it our own way.

So, what did they do?

How did they attempt to make themselves righteous?

By ritualistic following of The Law.

They followed a set of laws and traditions.

But it was only empty mechanics that did nothing to change their hearts.

This is where most of us get it wrong: we ignore what God is trying to teach us and instead conjure up our own methods of becoming righteous in God’s sight.

And these methods land us in trouble every time!

Let us learn the importance of seeking God’s truth, not our own self-derived half-truths.

May we find satisfaction, fulfillment, and contentment in learning His ways and resting in them.

God’s ways are always better than ours. And He knows us better than we know ourselves.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-7-25

James 1:5 (NKJV) 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Our struggles can often make us stronger if we follow God’s help in walking them out.

But this does not mean that we should live in constant struggles. They should be temporary.

This is especially true of financial struggles. They are hard on our marriage. They are hard on our family. They take their toll on people.

Studies show that half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.

With that in mind, there are many families, marriages, etc., that are hurting.

What can we do to get out of such a struggle?

As I sit here today and ponder some of the hard times we have been through, I hurt for those struggling right now.

I know that feeling personally. It’s awful.

There aren’t words that can describe what it is like to be in a position of not knowing what will happen if we don’t get help immediately.

You are not alone.

The only way we got through that time was to know that God knew what was happening and He gave us His wisdom.

You see, His word promises us things if we follow His instructions; we get His answers.

His wisdom for us was in the verse below…

Malachi 3:10 (NKJV) 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

Now, I’m not saying this is your answer, for your situation. But for us it changed our world.

When we took this verse to heart, and we began to faithfully walk it out, He turned our lives around.

Get His wisdom today, and stop the struggle.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-6-25

Galatians 5:25 (LSB) 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in step with the Spirit.

We often see this verse quoted and used regarding avoiding sin in our lives; reflecting our redemption in Christ in our daily lives.

And this is true. We should want to reflect the fact that we have been born again; new creations in Christ.

But today we will look at this from a different angle; one that shows us the importance of following God’s Spirit when what we hear conflicts with our feelings.

Please allow me to explain.

Sometimes God will speak to us, either through another person or directly, and what we hear may anger us because it conflicts with what we feel or what we believe is true.

This can cause us to reject what we hear without ever examining it to see if it is true.

Jesus dealt with this frequently.

Here He was, “The Truth”, God in the flesh, standing face to face with the religious leaders of His day. But they rejected Him because they got caught up in their emotions.

And as they tore their clothes and threw dust on their heads, rejecting the long-awaited Messiah, the prophecies of God passed them by.

We can sometimes be the same way; rejecting truth that is right in front of us because that truth angers us or doesn’t align with our personal views or opinions.

And if we allow our emotions to rise up within us unchecked, we will reject the words of the Holy Spirit, tossing aside anything that He wanted to teach us.

We must understand that our emotions or our preconceived ideas should never take precedence over God’s voice or His truth.

So, even if we don’t like the messenger that God has chosen to give that word, we should never reject the message.

Again, doing so causes us to miss out on what God is trying to tell us and give us understanding in. And we risk putting ourselves in the same shoes as the Pharisees and Sadducees that Jesus spent so much time rebuking.

And the message that was nestled within the words spoken to us is forever lost due to our stubbornness and lack of ability to see past our emotions and embrace that message.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-4-25

Ephesians 5:2 (NKJV) 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

We all have someone we look up to.

Most times it is someone that we admire and want to be like because we believe in who they are, or we like that they are successful in a certain area of their life, etc.

We can say that when someone is successful, or well known, it attracts attention. We will spend hours watching and researching a successful person’s lifestyle, etc.

Most times we will try to be like them by observing the way they carry themselves; their behaviors and mannerisms.

Sometimes we will take on their traits as part of our own persona.

We will fake who we are just to be like them.

With God we don’t have to fake to be like Him.

We don’t have to pretend to be someone else. He wants us to be ourselves. He wants us to be real. He wants us to walk like He walks; in love.

Ephesians 5:1 (NKJV) 1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

Walking in love does not mean that we never speak up, that we always stand back and let others do and say what they want versus what is right.

No, there will be times when we will speak up. There will be times when we will have to do hard things that bring attention to us, but we will do it with His understanding and wisdom.

Ephesians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

So, let us be Christlike, walking in love, but standing for truth when necessary, even if it might be uncomfortable or difficult.
