Bible Verse of The Day – 5-27-20

Romans 2:11 (NKJV) 11 For there is no partiality with God.

Have you ever known another believer whom you initially admired for a certain skill or talent, but when you got to know them better, they drove you crazy?

Maybe their personality just doesn’t meld with yours. Maybe they’re loud and outgoing, whereas you’re quiet and withdrawn.

Maybe they’re perky and bubbly, but you’re soft-spoken and reserved.

Or maybe they’re methodical and timid, but you’re adventurous and love doing things on the spur of the moment!

We can all relate to this kind of scenario in one way or another. It has happened to all of us.

But here’s the thing that we need to remember; God made each and every one of us unique, and He loves every one of us the same, regardless of our quirks and idiosyncrasies!

And He will use each of us as He sees fit.

Sometimes we may not necessarily like the way a person does things. But that doesn’t mean that God shouldn’t use them. After all, He has His purposes and He shows no partiality toward anyone.

The best thing we can do is to let God be God, let Him choose a person He wants to use, and just enjoy the way He uses them for the gifts and talents He has blessed them with.

Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-20-18

Matthew 20:16 (NKJV) 16 So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.”

Nobody likes being last. In the natural world being last is looked down upon. Being last is shameful and embarrassing for most people.

But it’s different with God. He doesn’t look at things the way people do.

Jesus told a parable about a man who had hired workers to work in his vineyard. He agreed to pay them a specific wage for a day’s work.

Later in the morning he hired more workers and agreed to pay them the same wage for the day. And again, even later in the day, he hired even more workers, with only about one hour left in the workday.

When the vineyard owner paid all of the workers, those who were hired first thing in the morning complained because those who were hired during the last hour received the same wages as them.

And so it is with God. Some people begin following Him early in their lives. In the end, they inherit eternal life.

Those who find God later in life, perhaps even in their last hours here on earth, inherit eternal life, the same as those who found God earlier in life.

God shows no partiality. And even though He prefers that we would turn to Him and follow Him at an early age, He will never turn someone away or give them less than a longtime follower if they find Him late in life.

God is no respecter of persons. He doesn’t show partiality.

Romans 2:11 (NKJV) 11 For there is no partiality with God.

So, if you have begun following God at a late season in your life, do not fear. Don’t fret or be concerned about being less rewarded than someone who followed God all of their life.

Eternal life awaits you, no matter how long you have called Him your Father.

Follow Him with your whole heart. Give Him your all. For the first shall be last and the last shall be first.
