Bible Verse of The Day – 2-8-26 – From Law to Grace

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

The grace of God is a wonderful mystery that we may never fully understand.

But despite not being able to fully comprehend it with our human minds, it is grace that we live under in this spiritual season. Grace replaced The Law through the death of Jesus.

In today’s new video, we teach about the transition from Law to Grace, and how Jesus tried to help the people understand it before it took place.

We hope you will find this video eye-opening and insightful, and that it will strengthen your understanding of the word of God.

We love you all!

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-3-25

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Many followers of Christ know the truth of this verse but still fail to convince their minds that it’s true.

We spend far too many hours each week trying to win God’s blessing.

We strive for the acceptance of the people around us.

All this to get their seal of approval on our lives.

First, we must understand that the approval of people means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Most importantly, though, we never need to work for God’s love, His approval, or His grace.

It’s funny how we learn this, and we acknowledge it outwardly, but we can never seem to full convince ourselves fully that we cannot earn our way into God’s heart or His favor.

His grace is undeserved. Period. End of story.

How do we define grace? Some may call it unmerited favor; kindness that is undeserved and unattainable by working for it.

The most important thing for us to remember is that this grace is given at no cost to us; no work whatsoever is required on our part. This eliminates any chance that we may boast about how much we did to earn our salvation.

Being reminded of this should help keep us from trying to win God’s approval or “earn bonus points” with God.

He shows no favoritism.

Romans 2:11 (NKJV) 11 For there is no partiality with God.

So, our efforts should be directed toward living righteously, in ways that reflect God’s holiness, to bring glory and honor to Him.

But never should we think or feel that we must earn His love, His favor, or His redemption.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-7-25

Galatians 1:10 (NKJV) 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.

We will win at doing some things. But at other things, even as a believer, we will fail.

Thank God that He doesn’t give up on us the way people do.

Thank God He doesn’t walk away in disgust, or leave us laying on our backs, broken and damaged from our own mistakes, addictions, ignorance, etc.

I’m grateful today that no matter what state I’m in, He will still look at me and truly want to help me make things right. He will lend His helping hand no matter how far off I am.

Will our family do this for us? Will our so-called best friends be there in those moments?

It’s hard to know for sure. People get disappointed in others. And most times their first reaction is to get angry and grow bitter, causing them to walk away and leave us hanging.

Don’t let this get us down today. Just know that people will be people and that our efforts should be in pleasing God.

God is the One who is there for us more than any one person. He is there for us when we need someone the most.

He is a God of constant love, grace, and forgiveness. We need Him so much, and He knows it.

He is more than any friend or loved one could ever be to us.

Let us serve Him today, by acknowledging Him first in all we do, even before those we think are so important.

Proverbs 3:6 (NKJV) 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-7-25

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV) 22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

His mercies are new every morning.

This phrase is familiar to most of us. We probably hear it often.

Maybe we hear it frequently enough that it has become somewhat cliche, causing the depth of this truth to slip by us.

The fact of the matter, though, is that it is true. His mercies are ever new.

Perhaps we may not have given this much thought. We just take it for granted.

Or maybe we have only recognized the grace of God when it comes to our redemption, and not regarding our daily lives.

We know that we are saved by God’s grace and His mercy.

Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;

But God’s grace doesn’t end there. His mercy does not stop once we begin walking with Him.

On the contrary, His mercies are an active part of our lives until the day we pass from this life into eternity.

If His mercies only applied regarding our redemption, and they stopped once we are “saved”, this would mean that from that day, forward, our sins and shortcomings would be piling up for the rest of our lives with no way to take care of them.

Our growing list of transgressions would leave us perpetually wounded, hobbling, and without hope of any help whatsoever.

But along comes God and His mercy as we cry out for His help, and He rights our capsized ship, making it seaworthy again.

What’s even more important to understand is that He does this for us repeatedly. He is a God of unlimited chances.

Does this mean that we should live our lives, flippantly abusing His mercy and grace?

Absolutely not!

But as we come to Him with a sincere, remorseful heart, crying out for His help, He will bathe us in His mercies and set us on the right path once again, freeing us from the weight of our failures.

And this is the beauty of serving a merciful, compassionate, loving God who desires only that we serve Him wholeheartedly and with genuine reverence.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-28-25

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Most people are familiar with the song, Amazing Grace.

The premise behind this song is spiritually deep, and Biblically sound; that God’s grace can save anyone, regardless of their transgressions.

And this is absolutely true. There is no one who is beyond God’s help.

I have come to view God’s grace as unfathomable; more than the human mind can comprehend.

Now, unfathomable might be a bit more difficult to sing in a song than amazing. But for the purpose of this devotional, it clearly puts His grace into perspective in a way that portrays its power more fully.

I recall seeing someone post on social media that God’s grace is no big deal. They were adamant that grace is not something we should get excited about. Their reasoning was that grace is only favor shown to someone.

But it seems that they failed to understand that God’s grace is something that is life-changing when we allow it to be applied to us personally.

God’s grace is unmerited (undeserved) favor that gives us kindness (preferential treatment) when what we deserve is something to the contrary.

Because of this grace, we must understand that our salvation is never earned. It is a gift.

We cannot do anything to earn it. We cannot possibly boast about it because we did nothing to deserve it.

And because we do not deserve it, we must understand that it is not something that we can keep by our works.

Yes, we should grow, mature, and leave our sinful ways behind. This is a given. God’s word teaches this plainly.

But this is not to prevent God from plucking His salvation from us due to inefficiencies on our end.

Our growth confirms our salvation just as fruit on a tree proves that tree’s growth.

And continuing in sin after receiving His grace and salvation is a slap to the face of God.

So, we must be sure that we do not abuse this grace and turn it into a license to sin, which is contrary to the truth of God’s word.

Romans 6:1-2 (LSB) 1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-26-24

Romans 3:24 (AMPC) 24 [All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,

I am unworthy of God’s salvation.

In fact, there is not a single human being born by the will of man who has been, is, or ever will be, worthy of God’s salvation.

There is, though, One who came and died for us. He was (is) perfect and sinless.

It is His sacrifice for us, His death on the cross, by which we can be made righteous in God’s eyes.

It requires only that we put our faith in Him, accepting the sacrifice that He made for me and for you.

By God’s grace, we are given the opportunity to pass from filthy and laden down with sin, to washed and forgiven.

No longer are we despicable and unworthy.

When Jesus breathed His last breath, the veil of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom, giving us direct access to the Father without fear of retribution or being cast away.

Matthew 27:50-51 (NKJV) 50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. 51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,

We pass from being unworthy of approaching God, to right standing, being given the privilege of approaching His throne boldly.

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Let us recognize and embrace His grace, that unmerited (undeserved) favor that He offers, that we might be made whole by the blood that was spilled for us willingly by the One perfect man, Jesus Christ, Immanuel, God with us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-23-24

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

I don’t know you, but I’m willing to bet that you probably live your life with the best intentions, trying to do good in everything.

I know that is what I do. I try my hardest to treat others the way I would like them to treat me; with respect and common courtesy.

And it is good that we do that!

But here is the thing we need to understand; doing so will not save us.

It will not cause God to see us as special.

It will not cause God to see us as worthy of His forgiveness.

It will not cause God to reward us for our good behavior.

We can live our lives giving generously to the poor, helping the elderly, visiting the sick, and finding many other ways to treat people kindly.

But none of those things will act as a penance for our sins, paving the way to eternal life for us. They will not save us.

It is only by God’s grace that we are saved.

It is only by His unfathomable mercy that He made a way for us to be saved, through faith in Christ.

What is this thing called grace?

It is unmerited (undeserved, unearned) favor, shown to us by God because of His incredible love for us; for you, and for me.

And it is because of this fierce love for us that He also shows us His mercy, choosing not to punish us when punishment is clearly due as payment for our many sins.

That mercy means that we will not get the punishment that we deserve.

So, He has made a way by which He will show us favor that we don’t deserve, and He will withhold punishment that we do deserve.

How can this happen?

It is made possible by the blood of Christ, which was shed on the cross for you and for me.

We need to recognize our sinful condition, sincerely repent (turn from our sin), ask God to forgive us, and let the cleansing blood of Christ be applied to us by trusting in Jesus, who died for us.

It is by this, God’s grace, that we can be saved.

Let us take Him at His word and never think that our good works can save us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-30-23

1 Corinthians 15:10 (NKJV) 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

I feel like today God wants me to speak to the women out there who read this.

You are making a difference.

Even if you may not see the results of everything that you do, your touch is so important.

It’s important to your spouse, who needs you more than you know. Maybe he can’t tell you for whatever reason, but I’m telling you today!

He needs your voice. He needs your touch, and he needs your love. He needs your understanding. He needs the balance that you bring to the relationship.

It’s important to your children.

They need your loving arms, your warmth, the firmness in your voice.

Yes, they absolutely need you to drive your point home at times, even if they might not like it at that moment. And for some it may take speaking it repeatedly.

You may cry from fatigue, from loneliness, from not feeling good enough. You may think you are the worst at this job at times.

But the day will come when the tears turn to laughter. It will all be worth it!

You’re important to your place of work. They need you!

They need you and the performance you provide for them.

You are doing a great job, even if they don’t give you what you are really worth. Keep it up, be diligent and don’t let them crush you with harsh words and bad attitudes.

Push through, and know that you carry a spirit of excellence in you, and you can’t help but to do well in all that you touch every day.

You could be struggling today in a bad way.

Your heart is tired from giving so much and not being rewarded with a single “thank you”, a simple hug, or maybe flowers or your favorite meal.

But on this day, whatever day it is that you get this email, God wants desperately for you to know.

By His grace, you are who you are! You labor more abundantly than all of them by the grace of God that is within YOU!

Know that He loves you.

He hugs you with His loving arms right now and He says, “you will laugh, you will dance again, and you will see the fruits of your labor. Don’t give up. Stand up and keep going. You are my princess, and in Me you have what it takes to finish this race”.

2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV) 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-9-22

John 8:10-11 (NKJV) 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

Today, we want to talk to anyone who might be reading this and battling condemnation or confusion.

Maybe you’re a believer. Maybe you’re not. Or maybe you’re on the fence about everything and just not sure where you stand.

Jesus came to earth to demonstrate God’s love for humanity. He did this in many ways.

While He walked among us, He showed us how to love and to forgive in ways that the Jews found unfathomable. They had never seen this kind of mercy and compassion before.

And we’d like to direct that same love, mercy and compassion toward you today.

Jesus showed His mercy and compassion to people who had sinned in ways that caused the Jews to want to stone them, literally, to death. It was what they had always done.

But Jesus intervened on their behalf demonstrated love and forgiveness. And in doing so, He also urged them to “sin no more”.

One such encounter is in the verses above. Another can be found in John 4:5-29, where Jesus spoke with a Samaritan woman at a well, and He revealed things about her that only a prophet, or God Himself, could have known.

And though He revealed her sin, He did not condemn her outright. He allowed the Holy Spirit to work on her as He spoke, giving the woman the opportunity to deal with her sin, one-on-one with God.

The thief on the cross also demonstrates God’s love and mercy, as Jesus told him, “today you will be with Me in Paradise”.

Jesus never condoned their sin, so we should not mistakenly think this.

But He demonstrated love, mercy and compassion that changed the hearts of the people He encountered.

And we want you to understand that mercy and compassion today, that you would trust Him with your own situation.

So, if you’re wrestling with condemnation, guilt, or the feeling that you have no direction and don’t know where to go, go to Jesus. Pour your heart out to Him. He will never reject you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-22-22

Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV) 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace…

The mission of Christ here on earth was immeasurable in its scope; to save humanity from their sins.

As I read this verse, I noticed that the entirety of that mission was summed up here in one tidy little package.

In Him (Christ) we have redemption through His blood.

It is the blood of Christ that redeems us; washes us clean from our sins. We just need to apply it to ourselves by trusting Him and putting our faith in Him.

We can also have forgiveness for our sins through Christ by the simple act of sincerely repenting and asking for His forgiveness.

How could this be?

Because the death of Christ bought us (literally purchased us) out from under the burden (bonds, chains) of slavery. Slavery to what? Slavery to sin.

And if we look at the very last part of this verse, we are told how this is all made possible; according to the riches of His grace.

It is the grace of God that makes this possible. Without that grace, we would all be eternally condemned, without hope.

But by His grace we can be set free and become a child of God, allowing us to walk with Him in a relationship that will change us for eternity.

Amen.
