Bible Verse of The Day – 4-9-18

1 John 4:19 (NKJV) 19 We love Him because He first loved us.

As believers, we may sometimes go through seasons where we feel like we’re in a rut. No matter what we do, it all just feels like a routine, a ritual, a mechanical repetition of what we know how to do.

We may even start to doubt our faith, as we begin to lose touch with God and as His presence seems to wane.

When this happens, the first thing we need to understand is that God has not gone anywhere. He is always near. He is always right where we left Him.

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) 10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

When we feel like this, it’s always something amiss on our end, not on His. It might be due to choices we’ve made. It might be due to things that have happened to us. It might be due to our lives being too busy. It might be due to many, many different things.

But there is one thing for sure, God never, ever leaves us. He is omnipotent, all powerful. He is omniscient, all-knowing. He is omnipresent, in all places at all times.

Our spiritual fatigue isn’t due to overworking our spirit. It’s due to undernourishment of our spirit. It’s due to lack of exercise for our spirit. It’s due to lack of knowledge in our spirit.

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…

And, ultimately, it all comes down to one thing. We don’t fully understand or comprehend God’s love for us. If we did, we would never, ever struggle again in our walk with Him.

Once we begin to understand His love for us, really understand it, we will begin to fall so deeply in love with Him that nothing will be able to pry us away from Him. In fact, we will develop a longing to be closer to Him than we could ever imagine.

Our faith will grow. Our desire to pull closer and closer to Him will grow. And whatever doubts we have will slowly fade away.

If our spirit is hungry for Him, we need to feed it. But not with religion and tradition. We need to feed it with Him. His word. His presence. His joy. Giving Him thanks. And showing Him gratefulness for all that He has done for us.

Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-4-16

Matthew 11:28 (NKJV) 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Sometimes we receive questions from people by email, asking about different subjects and topics.

One question we’ve gotten a few times is whether Jesus came and died for everyone, or was it just for the Jews.

The verse above states very plainly that He came for all humanity. He never made any kind of reference, anywhere, to a specific ethnic group, skin color, etc. “Come to me, all”.

The word “all” is inclusive of everyone. No one is left out!

John 3:16 (NKJV) 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The “world” is all inclusive. It leaves no one out, ever. Amen!

So if you ever doubt that Jesus died for every human being, regardless of who they are or where they’re from, don’t doubt any longer.
