Tag: What the Bible says about God’s faithfulness

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-17-23

Psalm 59:17 (NKJV) 17 To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy.

Reflecting back on this past year, we can see all the changes we’ve endured. We would have never been able to do it without God.

And you were a part of it, because God used you to help bring us through.

Thank you all; for your support and for your prayers.

He was there with us every step, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Time goes by so fast, and the older we get the faster it seems to go.

We admit that we enjoy the nice weather here in North Carolina, where God moved us to. We try to get out and do things to take advantage of it.

Hard work is good when you are doing it for the Lord. And if we keep our hearts right, we will stay balanced; time to work and time to enjoy our blessings.

God is faithful to help us each day.

Going into this new year, let us hold fast to His love He has shown us. Let us take in His beauty all around us and draw close to Him.

Let this be the year or the season we acknowledge Him and put Him before anyone or anything else.

Let us purpose in our hearts to spend more time in His word. Spend more time in prayer. Love on those He has brought onto our path. And be grateful for what we have right now.

Let us go into this new year with praises on our lips and lifting Him up. He deserves it. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-30-22

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) 10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

These words were originally spoken and written by the prophet Isaiah to the people of Israel.

They were part of Isaiah’s prophecies regarding the impending captivity of Judah at the hands of the Babylonians, although that would not happen for several more decades.

God was assuring them that He was with them, no matter what may come their way.

His reassurances were specific, not just vague and indistinct. He told them that He would strengthen them, help them and uphold them with His righteous right hand.

The fact that He specifically mentions that He will strengthen them signifies that they will need His strength to get through the struggles they will face.

This is significant. And we need to know that, because God doesn’t change, He is here today for each of us, just as He was for the Israelites.

Malachi 3:6 (NKJV) 6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

He will walk us through the changes that we’re facing in the world today, right this moment.

I don’t know about you, but with the world as upside down as it is right now, this brings me great comfort and strength.

Let us all lean on Him and listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit as we navigate these days that we live in, trusting that He will strengthen us, help us and uphold us with His righteous right hand.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-26-22

Habakkuk 3:6 (NKJV) 6 He stood and measured the earth; He looked and startled the nations. And the everlasting mountains were scattered, The perpetual hills bowed. His ways are everlasting.

His ways are everlasting!

What an awesome statement to reassure us of who God is. He is the same forever, unchanging and unwavering in His sovereignty.

This is what we need to know and focus on in times of uncertainty.

Everything in the earth and in the heavens bows at His command and at the sound of His voice.

The earth and everything in it are at His disposal.

And yet, He calls us His children because we have surrendered to Him and His redemption plan for us.

If we are ever feeling insecure or anxious in the world that we live in, these words should bring us comfort, reminding us of who our Father is!

So, rest in Him. Know that no matter what we see happening, and no matter what we face in our lives, He is never caught off guard and nothing ever surprises Him.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-16-22

Acts 7:34 (NKJV) 34 I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt; I have heard their groaning and have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you to Egypt.” ’

God knows. He sees the things we go through.

Some may think He isn’t listening; that He is so far away from us and that we have to carry this load all on our own.

That’s not true. But the devil would love for us to fall for it.

God has made a way even before we knew what was going to happen to us. God has already paved the road for us to follow. He will go the extra mile to help His children whom He loves and cares about dearly.

1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV) 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Do we think our problem is too big for Him? Do we think He can’t hear us when we cry out? Do we think He will not move mountains to reach us. I think we are forgetting what He is capable of doing.

He surely has seen, He hears and He knows. It’s up to us to trust Him with all our heart, and He will come down and deliver us Himself. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-12-22

Psalm 37:25 (NKJV) 25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.

Life can sometimes be very hard.

It can throw things at us that we never expected and have no idea how to overcome.

But in all that we face in our lives, God is faithful. His faithfulness far outweighs the storms that hit us.

This doesn’t mean that we won’t go through times that feel like they might kill us. That feeling isn’t unusual during rough seasons. In fact, it happens to almost everyone. Tough seasons hit us all from time to time.

Most of us reading this can probably nod our heads in agreement.

And we can also likely nod our heads in agreement when it comes to God’s faithfulness and His ability to exceed the power of the storms that hit us.

When the storms come, and the waters and waves have receded afterward, God is there in the aftermath to help us recover.

No, it may not ever go back to the way it was before the storm. We have to learn to accept that.

“Normal” isn’t always what we perceive it to be. It’s just what we’re used to. And sometimes we need to allow God to redefine our normal.

In the end, though, God provides in the way He sees fit. We may not always like it, but He provides and that’s all that really matters.

And in that, He will never forsake us or leave us begging for bread.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-27-22

Isaiah 45:22 (NKJV) 22 “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

When we are lonely, look to Him and He will fill that emptiness.

When famine has struck, look to Him and He will provide for our every need.

When crisis comes, look to Him. He will bring understanding and wisdom to our situation so that we make the right decision.

When things are great, look to Him and give Him thanks. For it is through Him we are walking in His blessings!

He will save us from all things that we face, for He is God. And there is no other.

Praise Him today, for we have Someone to look to and be saved!

Isaiah 44:6 (NKJV) 6 “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.

He is forever and ever by our side! Someone out there today shout AMEN!

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-20-22

2 Corinthians 13:14 (NKJV) 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

The Lord has given us this verse to pray over each and every one of you this morning.

Grace, love and communion are the three most powerful and important gifts that we have been given to keep our relationship alive and moving forward every day.

They are exactly what God is all about.

Because of God’s love for us, He sent His Son to save us from death and destruction.

Jesus Christ brought grace to us through His sacrificial death on the cross. He spilled His precious, perfect and holy blood for us.

The Holy Spirit brings us into communion and strong relationship with our Heavenly Father; The Creator of the heavens and earth!

We can live, breathe and walk out His plan through the gift of the Holy Spirit in us.

May you know the love we have for you and how much we want to see you living in your calling, walking daily in the life God has planned out specifically for you and your family.

His plan is so beautiful and so fitting to your specific personality, gifts and your needs here on this earth.

Our greatest reward is to know you are living in it. That is what we move and breathe for each day.

Hear our hearts cry for you today and rejoice in the Lord, for He is good! You are in our prayers. Amen.

Colossians 1:3 (NKJV) 3 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you…

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-29-22

Psalm 34:19 (NKJV) 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

No one likes to hear the first part of this scripture. After all, who wants to be told in advance that we, the righteous, may have to endure afflictions.

What are afflictions? Things that cause pain or suffering.

As a child of God, we will face things.

Many of us have already been there and seen the Lord’s deliverance in our lives. We could probably share some good stories together.

I would love to write a book of testimonies from those who have seen the hand of God in their lives. He is faithful to the end!

We may all face things, but God promises in His word that He will deliver.

So, we can’t stop up our ears when we see or hear the word, “afflictions”.

We need to know about God’s deliverance and how He is there for us in times of famine and in times of feast.

Let us be real today and know that God has us! Amen.

Isaiah 46:4 (NKJV) 4 Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-27-22

Psalm 37:4 (NKJV) 4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

I am in awe of the moments when God does something to show us how personal He is.

I celebrated my birthday recently. I remember thinking around that time how nice it would be if the last project in our new home would be finished in time for my birthday.

The carpenter had been working on it intermittently, but it was still not complete. I knew he was swamped with work and I did not want to press him.

But then, a couple days before my birthday, my husband, said to me unexpectedly, “the carpenter is coming today”.

I was excited, but still not expecting to have the project finished, knowing the work involved and his busy schedule.

But, you see, God knows our desires. And between Him and my husband, they worked together to make this happen!

The project was completed that same day. So, I got a wonderful birthday present from my beloved Lord and my wonderful husband who saw it through.

Thank you, Father, for always causing us to be in awe at Your magnificence and faithfulness, even in those things that might seem insignificant!

And I’m grateful to have such a blessed man of God by my side, till death do us part.

God bless you all. Enjoy the faithfulness of our Lord as He brings those personal thoughts to life and gives us the desires of our hearts.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-26-22

Acts 8:1 (NLT) 1 Saul was one of the witnesses, and he agreed completely with the killing of Stephen. A great wave of persecution began that day, sweeping over the church in Jerusalem; and all the believers except the apostles were scattered through the regions of Judea and Samaria.

As the early church began to grow and flourish, it seemed like nothing could possibly stop them.

The number of people being added to the body of Christ was increasing daily. The believers were helping each other, and miracles were being performed regularly.

What could possibly go wrong?

And then Saul showed up, inciting hatred and violence upon the believers. His goal was to stop this new movement, even if it meant killing some of them.

He even gave his approval to the stoning death of Steven.

This immense persecution caused fear to sweep over the church, and all the believers except the apostles fled, scattering throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria.

And so began the end of Christianity. Or so it might have seemed.

But you see, what the devil means for evil, God uses for good.

And those very same believers who scattered took with them the gospel of truth, and they began to share it with others everywhere they went!

Acts 8:4 (NLT) 4 But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went.

So, as they taught the people about Jesus, His truth spread far and wide.

This thing that Saul and the other Jews tried to stop became unstoppable, flourishing despite what appeared to be imminent decimation with the death of Steven.

And to top it all off, God tore from Saul the desire to kill Christians by making him one!

Isn’t that just like our God?

We need to always remember that even the darkest times can be turned around. And nobody can do that the way God does.

Genesis 50:20 (NLT) 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good…

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-13-22

Psalm 37:3 (NKJV) 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

Feed off His faithfulness!

He is just like His word says; very faithful.

He is omnipresent; Present everywhere at the same time.

He is omnipotent; having unlimited power and able to do anything.

He is omniscient; He knows everything!

That about covers it all, wouldn’t you agree?

He is trustworthy and loves us deeply.

He knows our hearts, and He is speaking to the very hearts of those who might need to take a step of faith today.

Not tomorrow. Not next week. Not when we think we’ve got it all together. And not when we see results of what we are waiting on.

That is not having faith. That is calling the shots ourselves and receiving the results of the plans of a mere man vs. the results of the plans of an Almighty God!

Reach out for Him and His plan today, and trust Him.

Yes, there will be times when He may show us what to do and it will seem rather off the wall compared to our human, intellectual minds.

But, if we feel like it is Him, we need to trust it all the way through!

His faithfulness will surprise us, even in His provision for those little things we need. He will take care of it all.
