Bible Verse of The Day – 6-8-18

James 1:19 (NKJV) 19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath…

In this life, no matter what age we are at, we will need to learn how to get along with others.

We will either be the one that gives in very easily, even though we know we are right, just to save an argument. Or we will be the one that is not going to budge. You know, that “I mean what I say and I’m sticking to it!!” kind of person.

There are going to be times when God will ask us to be the one to give in, even though we may be right in what we are saying or doing. This allows Him to help the one that is in the wrong to see themselves.

In order for them to do this, we may need to let them make a wrong choice and follow through with their actions.

Someone very wise once told me, “sometimes we need to let them go through the fire”. Ouch!

If we intervene, how will they ever see the results of their actions or errors?

There will be times when we need to stand firm and not give in, for sure. But just a little reminder, that’s not always the case.

Be alert to what God may be saying in that moment of disagreement. The way we carry ourselves may help the other person to see where they need to make a change.

Only God knows what it will take. Be quick to listen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-7-18

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV) 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Three little phrases; rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks.

Wow! What a serious set of instructions we are given here.

As we face the things in our lives that come along, we can sometimes feel alone, overwhelmed, defeated, and so many other emotions.

Rest assured, though, that we are never abandoned, despite how it might feel at times.

The thing we need to remember is that no matter what comes our way, we need to follow the instructions above.

We need to rejoice always. That means to rejoice even when we’re facing seemingly impossible circumstances. That’s not always so easy, is it? But if God tells us to do it, He also equips us to do it.

Pray without ceasing. This one doesn’t sound so tough. But do we do it? Hmm, not likely! But God shows us by his Spirit not only when to pray, but also how to pray. So, if we’re paying attention, He will prompt us and all we need to do is listen and obey.

In everything give thanks. Two simple words, give thanks. Now this one seems pretty basic. All we need to do is be thankful and express it. But there’s a really good chance that we probably don’t do this one all the time either.

We get busy. Or maybe we have an attitude because of the trial we’re facing. The last thing we feel is thankful. More than likely, we feel anger or frustration, and thanking God for anything is the last thing on our minds.

But once we get this one right, we’ll begin to see things differently. And the other two will come more easily to us.

So, remember, as we walk through the trials of life, rejoice always, pray without ceasing and in everything give thanks.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-6-18

1 Timothy 1:15 (NKJV) 15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

As we read this verse, it’s important that we apply it to ourselves, despite the fact that it was written by the apostle Paul.

We’ve all done things that we’re not proud of. Some may be “small” and others not so small. But sin is sin in God’s eyes. It’s important that we also view it as such.

You and I all stand guilty; each and every one of us. And short of God’s redemption through Jesus, we all stand condemned.

But Jesus came to set us free from our sins and the condemnation that comes with that sin.

Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV) 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace…

Thank you, God, for setting me, the worst of sinners, free through the blood of Jesus, without Whom I would be eternally lost and without hope. You have taken me from darkness, into your eternal light. Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-5-18

Psalm 150: 1-6 (NKJV) 1 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

Amen!! God wants us to praise Him today.

Don’t wait until tonight, or tomorrow. Don’t wait until Wednesday or Thursday night Bible study. Don’t wait until Sunday Services.

No. God wants us to break out in a song from our heart NOW!

He is waiting for our voices, our dance, our instruments… whatever way we want to praise Him in that moment, and let it out.

He is great, He is excellent and He is mighty!

He has given us life and life more abundantly, through His precious Son, Jesus Christ.

He has given us a Helper, the Holy Spirit, to walk with us each day.

John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

We are blessed beyond our knowing. And we have a wonderful Lord Who loves us dearly!

Praise Him with all our heart.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-4-18

John 14:6 (NKJV) 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

If we look around, we will find many denominations and so many various kinds of religions in the world.

They are all proclaiming to be truth, or the way to get to Heaven. But, ultimately it’s up to us to know the truth and the way.

When we stand before God, He is not going to say to us, “Oh, you were misled. I’m sorry to hear that, but please enter anyway”.

He has given us the Truth and the Way and we must know the truth from a lie.

Jesus Christ Himself makes it very clear here by saying there is only one way, and that way is through Him.

He gave His life on the cross at Calvary, for you and for me.

This is not to be taken lightly. What He did was a demonstration of the most amazing love and compassionate sacrifice that we will ever hear of in our lifetime.

It doesn’t matter our age, our nationality, our net worth, or what we have done. He did it for us. It is a gift, and it’s up to us to receive it.

Do we want to go to the Father in Heaven when it’s our time to leave this earth? If we do, then it’s very simple. There is only ONE way to get there.

We must believe in Him, the Son of God, our Messiah and the Savior of our souls, Jesus Christ.

Dear God in Heaven,

I am a sinner and I’m sorry for the things I have done wrong. I’ve made some awful choices and I’ve lived my life doing whatever I please. But today I come to You and ask You to please forgive me and help me to change my ways and live my life with You.

I truly believe that Jesus Christ is Who He says He is; your Son, the Messiah and Savior of the world. I believe He died to set me free from my sins. Please help me today. I need You. In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

If you prayed this prayer today, the angels in Heaven are rejoicing, for you are now a child of God. You have eternal life in Heaven with Him. Praise be to God!!

Please write and let us know. We want to keep you in our prayers.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-3-18 – The Dangers of PCD!

The dangers of proclamations, confessions and declarationsGreetings!

Proclaiming, Confessing and Declaring are something we hear a lot about these days from certain popular preachers and teachers.

All 3 of these words are found in the Bible, but what does the Bible say about them vs. what we’re hearing so often?

Our new video talks about this. Please click here to watch the video now.

Are these practices of proclaiming, confessing and declaring really Biblical, or do they have their roots elsewhere?

Please click here to watch the video now.

As we discuss this, we share where these things really came from. And it’s not what you might think. So we hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch the video today.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Enjoy your day and stay close to God in everything.

Sincerely in Christ,

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-2-18

John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Knowing the word of God and what He says about certain things is our weapon against the enemy. It helps protect us from his lies, deceit and temptation.

If we don’t know what God says about something, it makes it easier for us to fall into the devil’s trap. We need to educate ourselves and stay fresh and revived.

Let God revive us daily, keeping ourselves close enough to Him so that we will learn something new on a regular basis. We will have a revival in our hearts every day.

Do you need to be revived? Get in God’s word! Don’t wait. Get in there and start reading, even if it’s a little at a time to start off. Dig deep. You will come out refreshed, renewed and revived!

You will see your heart change right before your eyes, and you will have life and life more abundantly.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-1-18

Genesis 11:4 (NKJV) 4 And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”

These people were trying to make a name for themselves. They came together as one to build a tower as high as the heavens. They wanted to be great and known for what they had done.

God saw that this kind of behavior, mindset or movement was not good! So, He took the ONE language that they all spoke, changed it up and gave them all a different language. This made it nearly impossible for them to be able to work together or communicate any longer.

It’s not bad for us to come together as one if we have the right motives. But, if our motives are impure then it can be very damaging to us and all those involved.

Various movements throughout the body of Christ, in the church, can sometimes be contrary to what God is doing, and they can cause great damage to the work of God and His people if those that are involved are off in their motives.

What do we mean by “off”? They start to twist the word of God and make it fit within their plan or their agenda. Sometimes it may sound right, but the Holy Spirit residing in us will tell us if it’s off. Truth exposes falsehoods.

These movements come through people in leadership positions or through people with authority. They may know God’s word inside and out and can quote scripture and verses all day long, but they too can be deceived by this.

Matthew 24:24 (NKJV) 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Be aware of false teachings in the church. They can start off as something good and innocent, but that doesn’t mean it can’t change its course or direction and end up being way off track.

As we stay close to God, and spend time in His word, He will sharpen our discernment, that we may see it for what it is and avoid it.
