Bible Verse of The Day – 8-20-18

Proverbs 27:1 (NKJV) 27 Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Some people can get very frustrated and overwhelmed if they don’t have a plan to work with throughout their day. This type of personality causes these same people to struggle when the unexpected pops up. They get thrown off by unwanted surprises.

There are going to be times when we may not know what is going to take place ahead of time. We are probably thinking right now, “That’s impossible! We have planned for everything that could possibly go wrong. We have planned out our day”.

And then when it hits, it knocks us for a loop. We can become depressed and out of sorts for a while.

We may even become moody and angry toward anyone that comes near us, all because something unexpected happened.

How many of us are hard on ourselves when we get hit with the unexpected? We look at ourselves and how we react to change, and we get frustrated with ourselves and the way we reacted.

It’s time today we forgive ourselves, move on and cut ourselves some slack.

There are a lot of things that will take place that we won’t know about in advance. So, in order for us to live happy and peaceful lives we need to learn to accept the verse above as truth, and understand that stuff happens that we have no control over.

The great news about all of this is that if we are God’s child, through His Son, Jesus Christ, we are well taken care of, even when things do pop up unexpectedly.

Just the other day, something unexpected happened. I did not plan for it and I almost panicked. My nerves started to get the best of me. Then I was quickly reminded that I am not to worry, as God instructs us in His word.

I turned to God and I said, “Father, You knew before this ever happened that it was coming, so I put it in Your hands. I refuse to worry about it, I know you have my answer.” Within a short time, the problem or dilemma was solved. My day continued on as usual.

God will help us. But we have to stop stressing over what hit us. He already knew it was coming and He has a plan. Give it to Him, listen and follow.

Matthew 6:8 (NKJV) 8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-19-18 – Wind and Waves

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of our wonderful savior, Jesus.

The apostle Peter was the one we all know for walking on the water, as Jesus had urged him to do. Peter defied gravity and stepped onto the surface of the water, walking toward Jesus.

He did well until he saw the wind and the waves.

In today’s video we talk about wind and waves, and how they impact our lives.

Please click to watch the video now.

Most times the wind and waves in our lives aren’t actual wind and waves. Instead, they are the things that we come up against in our everyday lives that try to get us to take our eyes off God.

Please click to watch the video now.

As long as we keep our eyes on God, we can do anything He asks us to do. But the moment we begin to look at the wind and the waves, we lose our focus, and we will begin to sink.

Please click to watch the video now.

We do hope you will take a few minutes to watch this video. It’s fun, informative and eye-opening for all of us.

Sincerely in Christ,

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-18-18

Proverbs 22:7 (NKJV) 7 The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.

Poverty is a terrible thing. It’s a snare that is hard to escape from.

And just as poverty is a snare, so also is debt. Debt is a trap that can pull us down into extreme depths of despair, robbing us of our joy and our peace.

The world that we live in seems to run on debt. And many of us have fallen into this terrible pit.

We see something that we can’t afford to pay for, and we buy it anyway. And then we pay for it over time, adding interest to it. In the long run we end up paying a very high price for so many of the things we own.

And the cycle continues, on and on and on.

God doesn’t want His people living in debt. His word says that the borrower is a slave to the one he borrows from. This is pretty serious stuff!

Not a single one of us would ever voluntarily enter into slavery. But we won’t hesitate to sign on the dotted line or slide the credit card through the terminal and enslave ourselves for the material things we want to possess.

Enough is enough! It’s time for God’s children to get free!

Climbing up out of debt can be difficult, and it takes hard work and determination to accomplish. And it takes time. We don’t get into debt overnight, therefore we can’t get out of debt overnight.

But if we let God give us wisdom and lead us, over time He will lead us out of debt, just as He led the Israelites out of the slavery of Egypt.

We need to prioritize our spending and let God teach us how to manage our money. When we do this, our financial situation will begin to be transformed. And the evils of debt will be washed from our lives as we obey Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-17-18

Luke 18:27 (NKJV) 27 But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

We live in the world. We walk each day as fleshly human beings. We see and hear a lot each day that we live. And as we see and hear these things, they shape our thoughts and ideas.

As this happens, we can become tainted and influenced by it all. And it can cause us to think differently. It can cause our minds to start to believe in the ways of men and start to doubt God’s power and might.

But, as followers of Christ, it’s important that we don’t let this happen. We need to be reminded that God is still God, regardless of what the world says.

Just because we hear something said doesn’t make it truth. God is the final judge and authority.

If man says no, God may very well be saying yes. And if man says yes, God may be saying no.

It’s up to us to learn to discern the times and the seasons, and to hear God’s voice above the noise of the world and its opinions.

What is impossible with men is possible with God. And if we can get this ingrained into our spirits, we will start living it out each and every day.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-16-18

1 Samuel 17:33 (NKJV) 33 And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”

Have we ever been told we can’t do something, but deep down inside we had a feeling that we could, if we were just given the chance?

There are times in our lives that we may hear this very same thing. And it is up to us to discern if what we are hearing is for us to take, or to leave and push forward anyway.

In David’s case, he was ready and prepared to do whatever it took to win. His heart was close to God. God had delivered David from lions and bears. He knew that this same God would deliver Him from a Philistine giant as well. Why?

Because David’s trust was not in himself, but rather in the name of His Lord!

1 Samuel 17:45 (NKJV) 45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

What giant are we dealing with today? We may hear that we can’t beat it. It’s too big for us. It’s there for life. But, just as David went into this battle trusting in the Lord, we too need to make that our priority.

Don’t be afraid of what we are facing. Call on the name of the Lord and trust Him.

We may be too weak on our own, but with the wisdom, strength and knowledge of God, we will be made strong!

Psalm 105:24 (NKJV) 24 He increased His people greatly, And made them stronger than their enemies.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-15-18

Psalm 92:4 (NKJV) 4 For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.

How many of us today can testify of some pretty hard things we have gone through in our lives?

We may have had to go through it, and we were probably very scared at times. However, praise be to God, we triumphed over it through the works of God’s hands and we have moved on to better days! Amen.

Well, today someone else may be going through some pretty hard times, maybe even similar to what we have gone through. There are times that God will use our hardship experiences to share with others, to bring encouragement.

Are we willing to open up and share those memories, even though they were hard? Our greatest way to help others at times is to share the things God has brought us through.

It brings encouragement to others and brings glory to God!

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-14-18

Psalm 47:8 (NKJV) 8 God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne.

This is it, as they say, in a nutshell! God is in control over all. I don’t think we can comprehend the power that God has and what He can do with it.

For instance, look at the story of Noah. God wanted Noah to build an ark to carry him, his family and the animals. There was going to be a great flood and everything else would be destroyed. Why? Because of sin and the way people were living at that time. God was saddened by their actions to the point that He regretted that He had even created man.

How awful is that?

I would say God was very much in control. And even though He said He would never flood the earth again in that way, we can see His power and might behind it all.

When Moses raised his staff over the Red Sea, we can see the mighty power of God again, as He split the sea so that the Israelites could simply pass through it by foot to get to the other side.

Jesus was born through a virgin named Mary. She had never been intimate with a man, yet she carried a baby in her womb; our Messiah, the Son of this same mighty God. Again, we can see the majesty of our Heavenly Father!

He is Mighty, He is God and He REIGNS! Amen.

If we are worrying today about anything in particular, small or big, we need to remember Whose child we are, get rid of the worry, and start praising and thanking Him. He has our answers and the way of our deliverance!

Psalm 116:1 (NKJV) 1 I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-13-18

Romans 10:17 (NKJV) 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Our walk with God is based on faith. As we grow closer to God, our faith will grow. And as our faith grows, we will see more and more of God’s work in every aspect of our lives.

But how do we grow our faith in God? How do we get to a place where we show that we trust God with everything about our lives with our actions, not just with our words?

The absolute most important step is spending time in His word. It’s hearing His word that gives us faith. His word feeds our spirit. A strong spirit is able to hear and obey God more easily than a weak spirit.

In addition to spending time in His word, we also need to put action behind our words. Having faith is not based on our works, but without action, our faith is not worth much.

James 2:20 (NKJV) 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

James says that faith without works is dead. In this particular verse, dead can also be translated as “useless”. So, if we don’t put action behind our words and show God that we trust Him by the actions we take, then our faith is useless. Those are pretty strong words right there.

Many people think this verse refers only to what we do for others, by helping people or giving to people. But it also means that we need to put action behind our words by doing what God asks of us.

Peter stepped down out of the boat, onto the water, and walked to Jesus when Jesus called out to him to do so. Peter’s steps were an outward sign of his faith in Jesus. If Jesus had simply asked Peter if he trusted Him, all Peter would have had to do was say “yes”.

But when Jesus beckoned Peter and called him to step out of the boat, Peter’s faith had to be put into action. And Peter suddenly found himself literally walking on the water, toward Jesus.

It was only when Peter looked at the water through his natural eyes, and he began to doubt, that he started to sink.

By speaking, we tell God that we have faith. By doing, we show Him that we have faith.

Let’s show God that we have faith in Him, not just with our words, but with our actions also.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-12-18 – When We Do It Our Way

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of our wonderful Savior!

God has many things that He wants us to do in our lifetime. Some of those things are small, while others are not so small.

Whatever the size, God will always give us instructions to follow as to how He wants us to do something. Whether we follow those instructions or not is up to us.

This is the topic of our latest video.

When we choose to do something our way, instead of the way He wants us to, it can have a big effect on our lives. And it’s not usually anything good.

Please click here to watch the video now.

And in today’s video, we discuss some people in the Bible who chose to do it their way, and what happened when they did so.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-11-18

Galatians 6:7 (NKJV) 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

We all ask things of God. We have needs and desires. So we ask God to supply those needs and those desires. And we wait on God to answer on His end.

But, did you know that we can actually tie God’s hands and prevent Him from answering us or supplying us with what it is that we’re asking for? Yes. It’s a Biblical truth that we can tie God’s hands.

How? By not sowing any seeds to reap from. Let’s take a look at how this can happen.

If we plow the ground for a garden, but we never sow any seeds into that garden, we will not reap a harvest. It’s common sense that nothing will grow there that’s worth anything unless we first plant seeds.

God works the very same way. We have to sow if we expect to reap. The only thing God gives us freely, without us deserving it, is His love for us. His love is unconditional. Pretty much everything else is give and get. We give, God gives back a harvest according to what we have given.

No, this is not the prosperity gospel. This is simple Biblical truth. The measure by which we sow will also be the measure by which we reap. Jesus Himself said this.

Luke 6:38 (NKJV) 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

God has even told us to give when we’re in desperate need, seemingly too poor to be able to afford to give.

Mark 12:42-43 (NLT) 42 Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. 43 Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions“.

Just as the wealthy give out of their abundance, so we must also give out of our poverty or our lack. And when we do this, we have given much more than a wealthy person can ever think of giving.

Giving in this way shows God that we trust Him completely with everything, including our finances and our sustenance.

So, if we’re waiting on a breakthrough for a very long time, and we’re not seeing anything happen, we need to ask ourselves if maybe we missed something. Are we sowing? Are we planting seeds in our garden from which we can reap a harvest?

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-10-18

James 5:16 (NKJV) 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Taking time out to pray for each other is a must. To pray for family, friends, work, relationships and other things that arise throughout our day needs to be a priority.

Prayer helps many people; people that have no hope, no trust, no knowledge at times.

Prayer helps usher in healing for sick people. Prayer helps bring direction and protection in many situations. Prayer stops spiritual battles and so much more.

Through the name of Jesus, we have been given authority and we can lift up any given situation to Abba Father and He will hear our prayer, our need or someone else’s need.

Don’t stop praying. Fit it in daily and go with it. Lift up our cares and concerns and entrust them into the hands of our Daddy, through the name of Jesus Christ.

Things turn around through time spent in prayer. Families and marriages are restored through prayer. Healings take place through prayer. Children are changed through prayer. Financial breakthrough comes through time spent in prayer.

Pray, pray and pray some more.

Rejoice today in knowing that when we pray we are heard. And answers come! Amen.

Psalm 34:17 (NKJV) 17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.
