Bible Verse of The Day – 3-9-21

John 14:30 (NKJV) 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

The ruler of this world is satan. But Jesus says that, even though satan may be the ruler of this world, “He has nothing in Me“!! This means that satan had no foothold on Jesus. He had no power or authority over Him. Ever!

Jesus did what His Father told Him to do, and only that. Nothing more and nothing less.

Jesus’ time to be crucified for our sins had come. He was ready. It is what He came to this earth for.

The devil didn’t do this to Him. It was all part of God’s plan, to set us free from our sin.

The sacrifice that needed to be made had to be pure. It had to be spotless and free of blemishes in order for us to be saved from our sins.

It was all done for one purpose; that we may see the love Jesus has for His Father.

He obeyed His Father and His Father’s will, even to death on the cross.

John 14:31 (NKJV) 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.

This is an example for us all, to love the Father so much that we obey His commandments.

We don’t let satan have a foothold over us. We don’t let him play and tease us.

No, we don’t let him have anything over us.

No greed, no jealousy, no hatred, no pride, no anger, no fear, no fornication, no lust, etc.

We must not let these types of things have any part of us.

If they do, we need to get rid of them.

Let the Holy Spirit guide our steps and help us to remove them from our hearts, and to get clean and right with God.

Get to a place where we can say, like Jesus said, satan “has nothing in me.”

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-8-21

Psalm 37:5 (NKJV) 5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Over the last 10 years I have learned a lot about trusting God no matter what a situation looks like.

Just like you, we have walked through some pretty tough situations over the years.

For us, it began around 2012. The period between 2012 and 2016 was gut-wrenching.

That 4-5 year period made us feel like our guts were being ripped out.

In reality, though, it was our pride and many other things that were being ripped out. We just didn’t know it at the time.

Hindsight is always interesting, to be sure.

During those times of extreme duress, we learned who we were and where our trust really was.

Yes, we trusted God. But we learned that we didn’t trust Him nearly as much as we thought we did. And He was in the process of showing us what it really meant to trust Him with everything about our lives.

As we learned this, things started falling back into place.

Then along came 2020. And the rug got pulled from under the feet of the entire world.

This time, though, we leaned on God from the outset and He carried us through, as He does so very well.

What’s really interesting is that the 37th Psalm was written by David, as he questioned God about why it seemed that corrupt, evil people most often went without punishment for their sins and their crimes.

Ultimately, David came to understand that God is sovereign, and that He works things out in His way and His timing.

And so, as I have watched the incredible, very visible rise of evil during 2020 and now into 2021, I know that it is in God’s hands.

In 2021, God is once again teaching me more and more about trusting Him, especially when things don’t look the way I would like them to.

I am to pray, to fast when He asks me to, and to do battle in the spiritual realm, all the while trusting Him and His ways. In this, I know that evil will be repaid, and justice will be done when and how He sees fit.

It’s not always easy to surrender my thinking, my opinions and my feelings to His providence, but I know it’s the only way that I can learn to truly trust Him in all things.

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus.

It’s pretty likely that we all know someone in prison; locked up behind bars.

It’s also pretty likely that we know someone in prison who isn’t actually locked up behind bars.

In today’s video, Prison On The Inside, we teach about being in prison, even though we may actually not be locked up and behind bars.

This video is powerful, and there are many who can truly benefit from hearing or seeing it, so we hope you will watch it and then pass it along to others you know who may need to see it or hear it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-6-21

1 Corinthians 7:3 (NKJV) 3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.

So whether we are husband or a wife we are to have affection towards each other.

Have we forgotten what affection is?

According to the Webster dictionary, here are the synonyms for the word affection: love, passion, fondness, devotion, devotedness, attachment.

Let us change up the word affection and fill in the blank with these words.

Let the husband and wife have love towards each other. Let them have passion and fondness in their marriage. Let them be totally devoted and attached to one another.

This sounds like a beautiful relationship, doesn’t it? Both, the husband and the wife, are responsible to show each other such affection.

Many marriages today are under attack. They have been beaten down, and run over by the ways of the world and the wiles of the enemy.

They are hanging on by a thread. Why? Because there is no time for this affection.

The world has put a demand on marriages to work and to spend little time together.

And when they are together, arguments occur due to fatigue, stress, frustration, and lack of affection.

Let us start today to take our marriage seriously, and to stop falling for the world’s way of living.

God wants us to walk in such affection toward our spouse. It is what will keep the flame burning.

Pray for our spouse to walk in this affection toward us and that we do the same for them. It takes two.

May our marriages be made stronger, revived and blessed.

Remember that word; affection!

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-5-21

1 John 1:6 (NKJV) 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

Walking in darkness is not something we should do.

Yes, we might occasionally make a wrong choice that leads us to do or say something we shouldn’t do or say. But this should be the exception, not the rule.

As children of God, we are told that we are to walk in the light (1 John 1:7). Doing so shows evidence of our repentant heart and the fact that we are truly His.

As each of us grows in our walk with Him and our spiritual maturity, we will all be in a different place in this.

This comes over time, as we learn of God and allow Him to touch our hearts and change them, from the inside, out.

His love will transform us as we surrender to Him in various areas of our lives.

And as the years go by, we will eventually reach a place where we may no longer even recognize ourselves when compared to who we once were.

This is a process. It takes time. It doesn’t happen overnight.

We need to make the effort and be diligent in walking it out. And we need to learn to be patient as God works it out in us.

It may sometimes seem like we’re not growing as fast as we would like to be. But if we are faithful and diligent, God’s mercy and grace will shape us and mold us into a faithful servant with a heart that longs more and more to be like Him.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-4-21

3 John 2 (NKJV) 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Today we want to take a minute and write to you, our family that God has blessed us with.

We are so grateful for you, and we know that God is using you in helping us do what He has called us to do.

Before we began this journey, God showed us that we would be taken care of.

It was a big faith step for us, and even though at times we were scared, we knew it was what God wanted. We knew He would help us.

But what we didn’t know, was how He would do it. Isn’t that the thing that always tries to play with our minds. The how?

In the beginning, we sometimes tried to put pieces together that our logical side would say to do. But we would soon find out it wasn’t what God wanted.

It may have been a great idea, but it wasn’t His plan. So, we would quickly eliminate the thought.

It’s funny how He only gives us bits and pieces of His plan. It may be to keep us trusting Him for the rest. Or it may be because we may not be able to understand or handle what He shows us at that moment in time.

Either way, He has always been there for us. And we have learned to find great comfort in Him as we’ve faced the unknown.

You are a big part of this journey, whether you know it or not. You have been here through thick and thin, with your financial support and your prayers.

Your words of encouragement have brought us to where we are today. We are just like you, trying to run the race and get to the finish line with victory.

Another lap, here we go!!

We are excited to see what God will do as we push ahead, deeper into 2021.

We take it one day at a time, thanking Him for His provision and for each of you.

Your work, your marriage, your children and your walk with Him are so important to us. We want you to be the head and not the tail in all that you put your hands to.

We love you dearly, our divine family. Be blessed this day!

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-2-21

Exodus 14:14 (NKJV) 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

Who feels like you’re in a constant battle lately?

I’m guessing almost everyone reading this is nodding their head right now saying, “that would be me!”.

We are in a season of spiritual warfare like none of us has ever seen. The atmosphere is heavy with it.

It can be intimidating, exhilarating, scary, exciting and a whole host of other emotions that we could list here.

And it can be downright tiring to our spirits and our minds as we walk through each day of these battles.

Why?

Because battles take their toll on us, no matter how well prepared we are for them. Battles can push us to the edge of what we think we can endure. And then they push a little further.

This can cause us to feel frazzled and ready to drop from exhaustion.

What we need to remember, though, is that even though we are warriors in battle, God wants to fight this battle for us.

Yes, He will have things for us to do. But He doesn’t leave us alone to fight these battles by ourselves.

So, it’s important that we learn to lean on Him and let Him fight beside us, showing us when to advance, when to hold, when to speak and when to hold our peace (be silent).

There is a time for each of those, and His Spirit will show us as we let Him lead.

2 Chronicles 20:15 (NKJV) 15 And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-2-21

Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV) 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

What a friend we have in Jesus!

He will pass with us through the waters. What waters are we walking through today? Are they murky and full of weeds, causing us to not be able to see the bottom?

Is it a stormy rough water, splashing over the top and filling the boat? Is it causing us to be tossed back and forth?

He says here in Isaiah, “I will be with you”!

Has the heat been turned up and things are getting hard to deal with? Is our situation getting worse? Are our finances drained, or our marriage on the verge of total loss?

How about our walk with God? Is the pressure of things causing us to doubt Him?

He says, if we walk through the fire, we shall not be burned. When we come out not even be scorched.

Why?

Because God will be with us.

He is our comfort. Cry out to Him for help today and He will carry us through in ways we never thought possible.

We are coming out of this together!!

Dear God,

Please help me. I don’t know how to cross over the murky waters or walk through the burning fire. I need YOU, Your direction and Your protection today.

Thank you. In Jesus’ name I ask. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-1-21

Psalm 145:17 (NKJV) 17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.

Sometimes God’s ways can be a bit hard for us to understand.

Sometimes they can be downright confounding to our finite human minds.

You see, over time we tend to form a mental picture of God. Not so much what He looks like, but how we expect Him to act; the things we expect to see Him do.

Sometimes the ideas we have are accurate. Other times they are far off track.

Why does this happen?

It’s all about perception.

As we learn, we develop certain perceptions of who God is. Some of those perceptions can be very accurate. But some can be very inaccurate.

This can happen for a few reasons. Many times, it’s due to things we have been taught that were incorrect.

Sometimes it’s due to incorrect interpretation of what we have read or heard.

Sometimes we may not even know why we think what we do. It just kind of happened over time.

The best way to remedy this is to get into God’s word and seek His truth. And when we do this, we have to be willing to see what God says in an objective way, with no preconceived ideas or notions.

It’s the only way to truly know what He means when He says something.

Be prepared to see and hear things that may not make sense to our human minds and our human way of thinking. Remember that God’s ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

Isaiah 55:9 (NKJV) 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

But in all of this, His ways are righteous and true, as stated in the scripture at the beginning of this devotional.

So, no matter what we might see that doesn’t quite fit with what we thought was true, we can always go back to His word and get the real deal from the one true source.
