Bible Verse of The Day – 2-6-26

John 1:14 (LSB) 14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

This verse is explosive in its proclamation and spiritual significance.

The human mind cannot truly comprehend or contain it.

It is impossible.

But it is something that we must try to grasp the best we can, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

God is incomprehensible. He is too big. Too complex. Too vast in scope and power.

Yet we know, He is.

Thus, the phrase, “I AM THAT I AM”.

John 1:1 says far more than we may ever be able to process, but let’s look at it.

John 1:1 (LSB) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Word, Jesus Christ, existed in the beginning. He was not a creation of the Father. He did not suddenly appear when it was time for Him to walk the earth among men, “God with us”.

Everything that was created was created through Him.

Now, consider that God took it upon Himself to clothe Himself in human skin, and come to earth to walk among us, feel what we feel, and die as we die.

The raw truth of this fact is mind-numbing.

God, the all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present One, came and dwelt among men for a season.

How can this be? By what process did he do this or make it happen?

That is not for us to understand. It is too big. And far too complex and unexplainable.

Yet it happened!

This is the God we serve. The God we worship. And the God we will stand before and spend eternity with if we have made ourselves His.

Stand in awe today. Marvel at His magnificence.

But most of all, trust Him in all things.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-5-26

Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

It’s so important to take control of our thoughts and the things that take up space in our heads and our hearts.

If we are the type of person that likes to fix things, we will focus on finding the solution in everything we come across that is going wrong or looks as though it may go wrong.

We are motivated by problem solving, by finding answers for what we see happening. We try and come up with the every possible answer.

When we focus on finding the solution to things we see that aren’t right, it can cause us to stay in a constant negative outlook for everything.

Just like anything we do on a regular basis, it will become part of us. And can change our character, and or person.

Troubleshooters or problem solvers must remind themselves that even though this is part of our makeup, a piece of who we are, we need to remain balanced.

At the end of the day, remember the things that God says to meditate on; it’s surely not the problems. But to let what is praiseworthy have precedent over our thoughts!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-4-26

James 4:10 (LSB) 10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

The importance of humility before God is often overlooked in the big scheme of things.

We may understand that it is important. But we may also fail to recognize how important it is.

Therefore, it frequently gets neglected.

If we were to look at this objectively and honestly, we would see that humility before God is the foundation of our relationship with Him.

It takes humility to admit that we need Him.

It takes humility to recognize that without Him we are lost and condemned to hell.

And it takes humility to surrender ourselves to him in obedience.

If we could just get those three areas right, so many other areas of our lives would begin to fall into place. Many of our problems would slowly disappear.

Why?

Because we would be subjecting ourselves to the Kingship of Jesus Christ and allowing God to change our hearts so that we would live and walk more like Him.

Have you ever noticed how much humility is required to admit when we are wrong?

Or how about when we realize we have wronged someone and we need to repent and apologize, asking for forgiveness.

We need to multiply that humility exponentially to understand the level of humility that is required in our walk with God.

And what does the word of God say will happen when we put this into practice?

He will exalt us.

1 Peter 5:6 (LSB) 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-3-26

Proverbs 2:2 (NKJV) 2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding;

How do we find God’s wisdom and understanding? One step at a time.

All the wisdom we need is in the word of God. It’s crucial that we spend time in His word. It’s also important to be in prayer and listening for His voice and promptings at times.

John 10:27 (NKJV) 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Wisdom comes in letting Him guide our steps through His word. Every step we take in obeying Him will bring the wisdom and understanding we need for that moment, hour and situation.

How do we hear His voice? He speaks through His words. All the scriptures were written for our guidance.

2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV) 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

We often cry out for God to give us wisdom. But we don’t spend time in His word. So, we don’t know the steps He has for us to take.

And what happens? We remain in the same state of mind and the same situations. Nothing changes.

We must put the time in. He’s not going to just do it for us.

He gave us His word to follow. Through it we will find guidance. And by obeying we will grow in His wisdom.

Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV) 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Find His Wisdom and understanding for your situation today in His living word to you. Read it, obey, and walk it out.

When we are faithful to spend time in God’s Holy Spirit-inspired Word, and we obey what He tells us to do, His wisdom will be moving and alive in us!

It is then that we will see things change, and wonderful things come to pass!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-2-26

Psalm 73:26 (NKJV) 26 My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

We live in an upside-down world.

Evil is called good. And Good is called evil.

The depravity of humanity is on full display for all to see. And most people barely blink at what they see.

Sin runs rampant. It no longer hides in the shadows. Instead, it shows itself boldly, as though taunting God and His people, saying “you can’t touch me”.

But a day is coming when the world will be judged for what they do.

We will all be judged. No one is exempt.

And our deeds, both good and evil, will be laid out and examined. And we will reap from what we have sown during our lifetimes.

Have we been washed by the blood of Christ? Have we subsequently surrendered ourselves to Him, allowing Him to shape us and change our hearts?

Do we honor Him with our lives?

You see, our flesh is weak. It is fickle and self-centered.

But God is our strength. Where we are weak, He holds us up if we ask Him and allow Him to.

He strengthens us and sets our feet on the right path.

And His word shines a light on the path He wants us to walk.

So, though we may be weak, and our flesh may fail, let us look to Him for truth and righteousness, that we may serve Him wholly and bring honor and glory to Him and His kingdom.

For it is only in Him and by His Spirit that we are able to do so.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-31-26

Romans 5:8 (NKJV) 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Jesus didn’t die for us because we were all doing the right things.

He didn’t die for us because He saw that we were all good people.

He didn’t come because He thought, aw they’re so obedient, let Me do something nice for them.

No. He did it while we were all sinners. He did it when we were in our worst state. He did it because He knew He was the Only way.

John 14:6 (NKJV) 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

We needed Him if we were going to overcome our sinful state.

His motive for saving us was LOVE. He came for us.

1 John 4:19 (NKJV) 19 We love Him because He first loved us.

Jesus Christ loved us first even in our awful state.

Cry out to Him today, walk with Him, and find everlasting life through His redeeming blood that was shed for us on that cross! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-30-26

1 Corinthians 13:13 (LSB) 13 But now abide faith, hope, love—these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Love.

We hear this word tossed around very freely far too often.

Most people who use this word loosely, with little care or understanding of its true meaning or what love at its core truly means.

This word, love, can be greatly misunderstood by us all at one time or another.

It is only through learning of and understanding Gods definition of love that we begin to truly grasp what it means to love.

Love is patient and kind; it is slow to anger.

Love does not seek its own; it is not selfish or self-centered. It puts the needs of others first.

Love does not keep a record of offenses. It forgives when it has been wronged.

Love does not take joy in sin or unrighteousness.

Love is not haughty, proud, boastful, or arrogant.

Love does not act unbecomingly; displaying inappropriate, disrespectful, or rude behavior toward others

Love hopes; it does not doubt or focus on the negative side of situations of circumstances.

Love endures all things; it bears difficult situations, leaning on God for strength and understanding to face the seemingly impossible.

Jesus was the epitome of love clothed in human flesh.

Let us learn from His example, and allow the Holy Spirit to teach us how to walk this out in our own lives, that we might bring glory and honor to our Father in heaven 🙏

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-29-26

John 4:7 (NKJV) 7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”

Jesus sat down at a well, wearied from His journey.

As he sat, a woman came to draw water. He asked her for a drink.

Jesus began talking with the woman. And in the course of the conversation, he tells her to go and call her husband.

The woman replied, telling Jesus that she has no husband.

Jesus already knew this, explaining to her that she has already had 5 husbands, and the man she is with now is not her husband.

Her personal life was laid out, right there at the well, no secrets hidden.

How many of us today think our lives are hidden from God?

Do we have personal things that need to be laid out before us before we will confess them? Do we need to see the truth about ourselves?

We all need to get to that well; a place in our lives where we are not covering or hiding anything from God. We need to get it out in the open and let Him help us make things right.

John 4:28-29(NKJV) 28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 29 “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?”

You see, when truth is around, it will expose sin, lies, and deceit.

The good news is Jesus Christ is the Truth!

He died for us, to pay for our sins. But if we don’t repent of them and make things right, we will die in them.

Meet with Jesus today. Admit those things you do in secret and let Him help you set things right.

Not only did this woman believe that day, but others that she told, “He told me everything I did,” also believed!

John 4:39 (NKJV) 39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.”

When we admit to the truth about ourself, and we want to make things right, Jesus will be there.

He is as real as real can get. Be real with Him today!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-28-26

James 1:2-3 (LSB) 2 Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith brings about perseverance.

Walking with God teaches us a wide variety of things.

Some of those things are surprising.

We learn of who He is. We learn His ways. We learn of His faithfulness.

And we learn of our own weaknesses, frailties, and faults.

But another thing we learn is less obvious.

It is this; unless we are in a battle or facing a giant or an enemy of some kind, we have no need for victory.

We don’t recognize it until we have walked through many things and see Him move on our behalf.

We all wish life could be easy; lacking tragedy, difficult times, or seasons of distress.

But that would be unrealistic.

Instead, we may face seasons of famine. We witness the realities of what life throws at us from time to time.

And some of it can be gut-wrenching, leaving us feeling as though we have been kicked in the stomach, trying desperately to catch our breath.

But until we face things, we have no need for God’s miracles working on our behalf.

It is the difficulties in life that allow us to see His power and His faithfulness.

It was being sandwiched between the Red Sea and the Egyptian army that allowed the Israelites to see God part that sea and let them walk through on dry land.

It was a severe famine that allowed the widow and her son to see God fulfill what Elijah had spoken and watch Him provide sustenance for them from what was only a single meal’s worth of flour and oil for the duration of that famine.

And it was a looming giant that David faced that allowed the entire Israelite army to witness God’s power as a young shepherd boy killed that giant with a single stone.

Are giants, famines, and attacks of the enemy inconvenient? Yes!

Do they cause us discomfort, pain, and frustration? Of course they do!

But they also cause us to pull on God and trust Him in ways that would not happen had we not faced these difficult seasons.

So, let us embrace the words of wisdom found in James 1:2-3, above, and learn to walk this truth out in our own lives even as we push through the discomfort and frustration of the trials we face 🙏

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-27-26

Acts 1:8 (NKJV) 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Today we are going to talk about the power of the Holy Spirit referred to in this verse, and what He will do through us.

His power will give us what we need to be witnesses for Christ!

Boldness and ability will be there to share the gospel, whether by words or deeds.

We will have His strength to overcome temptations in our daily lives, and to reflect a Christlike character.

Jesus asked the Father to send Him for us. He will be with us forever; we will not be on our own.

John 14:16 (NKJV) 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever

He will help us understand scripture and apply it to our own lives.

We will walk in spiritual gifts, healing, prophecy, and speaking in tongues.

The power of the Holy Spirit is God Himself moving through us.

He is our Helper, that we may accomplish a lifestyle allowing us to be the salt and light of the world.

Matthew 5:13-16 (NKJV) 13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

The Holy Spirit gives us God-inspired power to shine brightly, and let them see our good deeds, that they will glorify our Father!

Amen.
