Category: God’s Faithfulness

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-10-12

(2 Cor 5:7 NKJV)  For we walk by faith, not by sight.

What is it that we want in life but can’t see happening in the natural? Don’t let this stop us or discourage us, no matter how young or old we are.

How far do we want to go in our walk with Christ? What would we like to achieve in our job situation? What do we want to achieve in our finances? What do we want to achieve in our relationship with our spouse and/or children, etc.?

The first thing we must do is to be prayerful and ask God what it is we need to do to make it possible, to reach the place or level God may want us to be in any area of our life.

The second thing is to make sure we are staying focused on what He has for us to do. Take it seriously, for it is serous to Him.

The third thing, which is very important and can often get overlooked, is to be praising and thanking Him for His clarity and direction before we see any signs or changes!

If we take these 3 steps and are sincere in our hearts with Him, we will start to see results; we will start to see change and we will never want to go back to doing things the way we used to do them.

Now, when the change comes we have to be careful not to pull out and neglect to follow through all the way with what God asked of us. Many times we start out all gung ho, then we start to see the results and the next thing we know we lose focus and get distracted and we never get to see the end results of God’s faithfulness!!

Stay with Him, don’t let up, and stay focused!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-16-12

(2 Tim 2:13 NKJV)  If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.

God is always faithful, regardless of where we stand in our relationship with Him.

It doesn’t matter if we have completely turned or backs and walked away from Him, He remains the same. He has to. He is God. He is the foundation upon which everything else in this world is built.

During the last several days God has been teaching me a few things about myself. Much of it has to do with some poor choices I have made over the years, especially with regard to finances. It’s not really a matter of a lot of bad choices, but one poor choice that I seem to make repeatedly.

I am determined to get it right. I have made a vow in my heart to let God teach me this time so I won’t make the same stupid mistake again. What I find is so awesome is that He will teach me, despite me missing the ball so many times already.

Ask God today where you have been faithless and where you have missed Him, and then ask Him to help you get it right this time. He is faithful!

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-14-12

(Phil 4:13 NKJV)  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

We are never expected to do things on our own!

I know there must be a lot of us going through some kind of battle right now, because it seems that many of the verses we’re being prompted to share are about battles, victories, trials and depending on God to help us through them.

On our own, we’re weak, feeble and lacking in so many areas. Oh, I know that’s not something we like to hear, but it’s plain, simple truth.

But in Christ, we can do all things! He gives us strength, peace, joy, understanding, discernment, compassion and victory! There is nothing that we lack in Christ.

Press into Him today. Make that extra effort to push through the obstacles and touch the hem of his robe and get your healing, your deliverance, and your victory. It doesn’t always come easy, but it does come if we depend on Him for it!

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-12-12

(2 Pet 3:8-9 NKJV)  But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

God’s timing is certainly not our timing!

God sees things in such a different light than we do, sometimes it seems like our breakthrough will just never come.

But God is not slack with His promises and He will do what He said He will do. We just need to hold fast and wait on Him, trusting that He will bring victory.

Keep in mind, though, that if there is going to be a victory, there has to be a battle. Without a battle, there is no need for a victory.

So if you’re in a battle right now, waiting for your victory, trust that God will bring it.

It might not be in the timing that we think it should be in, but He knows and understands what we need and when we need it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-9-12

(John 15:14 NKJV)  “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

Jesus calls us His friends.

One day I was in my office praying and this song was playing, Friends are Friends Forever, by Michael W. Smith. All of a sudden I thought “where are my friends”?

I went down a list of people that I’ve had in my life at one time or another and most of them are gone, living their lives, and I hardly ever hear from them anymore. I started having a little pity party for myself, saying “Oh, I’m so lonely, God. I don’t have anyone…all my so-called friends are gone”.

It wasn’t long before God brought to my memory that I have Him, a friend forever, and that I have a wonderful husband who is my best friend as well. I have my daughters and son in laws, my grandchildren and so many more other people in my life that God has blessed me with!

I may be speaking to some lonely people out there today, but don’t ever think that you are alone. If you have Christ, you will never be alone as you follow Him…He will be a good friend to you!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-30-12

John 8:36 NKJV)  “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

The Israelites had been set free from slavery. Moses brought them out of Egypt to take them on a journey to go to a new land; the land which God had promised them.

It happened by way of miracles that God performed through Moses to get them out from under the hand of Pharaoh. God performed miracles time after time to get Pharaoh to let His people go!

When the people of Israel were released, they were happy and excited at first. But, as time went on. they found things to complain and murmur about. Even the miracles that God did for them weren’t not good enough anymore. In their discontent, they actually wanted to go back to Egypt, the land that God set them free from!

Are we feeling the same way today? Has God set us free from our Egypt? It could have been our friends or family that hurt us or took advantage of us, jobs that caused us stress, debt, addictions, our lack of knowledge in certain areas, etc. Are we longing to go back because maybe the new things aren’t as easy and the grass isn’t as GREEN as we thought it would be?

When Jesus sets us free He promises that WE are free indeed! We can’t let our flesh cause us to go back, no matter how hard it may fight us. We need to stay strong, letting God lead us to the promised land which He has for us.

You will see it is all worth it!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-22-12

(Luke 6:38 NKJV)  “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

In spite of everything God has done for us and given to us, He still gives even more by having men bless us when we give.

He has promised us that as we give, the measure that we use in our giving will be used in return to bless us. We can never “out-give” God!! What an awesome FATHER we have; we are truly blessed.

Today, let us ask God who we can give to and what it is we can give. I believe with all my heart that as we follow HIM in our giving, this scripture is going to come to life in our situations. It won’t just be words on a page anymore, but it will be put into action and breakthroughs will begin!

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-17-12

(2 Cor 4:17-18 NKJV)  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, {18} while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Wow… now how many of us can honestly say that we think of our trials in that way?

As we go through the things that come our way each day, each week and each year of our lives, how awesome is it to know that they are only temporary? No matter how tough things get, they are not here forever, but just for a while.

God has created us to be eternal beings, living a natural life while we’re here on earth and then living eternally when our time on this earth is done. We should understand fully that there is more to our lives here than just things in the natural… that even though we live in a tangible, natural environment, there are many things that happen in the spiritual realm, behind the scenes.

But even in this, we know that everything we go through will bring us closer to God and bring honor to His name, if we let it.

What are you going through today? Are you fighting any battles? Some of us are facing some very tough things; decisions, choices, accusations, persecution, loss of loved ones, loss of finances, divorce, breakups, homelessness, despair, depression. The list could get pretty lengthy, because we’re all facing something!

But know that God is working things out within us and strengthening us through every one of these trials. No matter how tough it gets, cling to Him and trust Him with every fiber of your being. Don’t give up hope.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-1-12

(Heb 6:15 NKJV)  And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Abraham waited patiently for God’s promise. It wasn’t easy for him, but he did it. And he obtained the promise.

It isn’t always easy for us to wait, but sometimes this is just what we need to do… wait.

Waiting is probably one of the hardest things for us to do as humans, but if you really look at it, waiting patiently is a sign of our faith and trust in God.

If we get impatient and start taking matters into our own hands, we’ll probably get ourselves into trouble.

So if you’re in “waiting mode” right now, let God stretch your faith so that you can wait on Him and you can obtain His promise for you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-18-12

(Luke 6:38 NIV)  Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

We just want to take this day and thank each and every one of you personally.

You don’t know how “AWESOME” you have been to us!

You have helped us through some pretty big hurdles; things that we can’t even share right now.

God has used you in one way or another, to either give us an encouraging word, to lift us up in prayer or even to support us financially with tithes and offerings. Your love and support have graciously helped us through!!

We sincerely thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. The scripture today is our prayer for you. God bless you!!

Love in Christ,
