Bible Verse of The Day – 9-7-12

(Phil 2:8 NKJV)  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Jesus was completely obedient, even unto death. He sacrificed His life for us.

You know when you’ve completed something and you look back and say, “That was so was hard, but it was well worth it.” Well, I cannot say that I was worth what Christ did for me.

What Jesus did for all of us was done from pure love.

If you are feeling unloved today, know that no matter what your up against, there is someone that loves you more than you think you’re worth.

You may not think you are worth much…but to Christ you are the love of His life!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-18-12

(1 John 1:5 NKJV)  This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

We serve a God who is perfect in all aspects. There is no darkness in Him.

He is not capable of lying or deceiving. He is pure and full of light.

How incredible is it that He would allow us to be called His own?

We have been given the opportunity of all opportunities; to become sons and daughters of the Most High God!

We should not take this lightly. Every breath that we breathe should be done with purpose and determination, to live our lives in a way that brings honor and glory to Him!

Thank God today for calling you to be one of His own.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-6-12

(1 Tim 1:8-10 NKJV)  But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, {9} knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, {10} for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine…

As we read the list of sins in the verses above, we need to note that none of them is categorized or classified as being worse than any of the others. Not a single one is labeled as “the worst” or “the least”. Sin is sin.

As humans we have a tendency to put labels or categories on sin, making one type of sin seem more evil than another type. But God doesn’t see it that way. Whether we steal a roll of tape from our employer or rob a bank, it is thievery.

Whether we tell a “small white lie” or a huge lie, we are a liar. It doesn’t matter whether we commit a sin that seems more acceptable to man or a sin that seems horrendous; it’s still sin in God’s eyes. Any of them will separate us from God and every single one of them puts us in the category of a sinner!

But God loves us in spite of our sin. And so we need also to love the sinner. It doesn’t matter if their sin is adultery, fornication, murder, thievery, lying, or whatever it might be. God has told us to love them.

Seriously… how did Jesus act toward the sinner when He walked the earth? He loved them!! He didn’t love their sin, but He was able to look beyond their sin and love them, spending time with them and showing them unconditional love.

Can we honestly say that we do this? Do we love the sinner… really love the sinner, in spite of their sin?

God does it for us. He loves us in spite of our sin and our selfish ways. If God can love us, how much more should we love others?

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-6-12

(1 John 4:7-8 NKJV)  Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. {8} He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Loving has got to be one of the most effective ways of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we don’t have anything else but love, then we have more than enough to go where ever Christ wants us to go.

It is the LOVE for one another that will break that hard heart; that cold stone, that angry behavior that tries to take over and cause us to walk a road of loneliness and terror.

If you know someone like this, don’t let the love of God lay dormant in you. Start sharing it with the one that is most likely not going to let you; that is the one that needs it the most.

How do we share the love of God? We first have to know the love of God and what He offers to us. If we don’t know His love personally we can’t very well share Him. We have to first experience His love for us on a personal level.

Once we’ve experienced it on a personal level in our own lives, then we can share it with others in an honest, sincere way that will help change people’s lives.

No more hard hearts for God’s people! We need soft, tender, gentle, caring and loving hearts to share God’s message with the world.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-13-12

(Heb 4:15 NKJV)  For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Jesus walked this earth as a human being. Despite being deity, He left His throne to be born of a woman and live a life of humanity.

He experienced everything that we experience; pain, temptation, sadness, joy and much more. He understands what we feel each day, as we walk through trials and triumphs in our lives.

He had every opportunity to sin… to walk away from His purpose. Yet, He chose not to sin. Instead, He chose to fulfill His purpose here on earth and die in our place.

He walked this earth blameless and sinless, despite being human. Some people might try to say that this was because He was God and man all rolled into one. But the Word of God makes it clear that He was tempted and could have chosen to sin.

What an incredible gift we have been given, to know that Jesus loved us so much that He chose to fulfill His purpose and die in our place, offering us forgiveness for our sins.

We are truly a blessed people to have received such a gift from God.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-11-12

(1 Pet 3:12 KJV)  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

God watches over us. We don’t have to worry. We just have to follow, listen and obey.

There is always going to be something that will try to pull on us, distract us and try to take our focus off the important things that we need to get done in a day. It will try to cause us to be so busy and so overwhelmed that we can’t even move, instead we are exhausted from our thoughts of trying to figure out how we are going to complete the things that we need to get done.

Before we start our day, ask God to give us His sound mind, and help us to focus and get done the things we need to get done in that day. His eyes are over us, His ears are open to us…Let Him guide us!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-5-12

(Acts 2:28 NKJV)  You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’

God has made known to us the ways of life. He has poured Himself out as a sacrifice for us, through His only Son, Jesus Christ.

I’d like each and every one of us to meditate on that, even for just a moment. This is life-changing stuff!

The God of heaven and earth, the Creator of all we see, the Giver of life, came down from heaven in the form of a man and walked among us to make known the ways of life, so that we might have true life.

This is truly life-changing in every aspect of those words. We have been bought with a price. And as I have said before, it was a very high price that was paid for each and every one of us.

I know these might seem like somber words and at first they might not seem very cheerful or encouraging, but the exact opposite is true! These words are demonstrating how much God loved us and how He gave us new life!

As you walk through this day, do so knowing that God loved you enough to make known to you the ways of life.
