Bible Verse of The Day – 5-23-25

Micah 6:8 (NKJV) 8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

Trials come and go in the life of every believer, as do times of refreshing.

We go through seasons of plenty, seasons of famine, seasons of peace and tranquility, and seasons of intense battles.

This is a fact.

We can learn many things about ourselves if we watch how we react to the various situations and seasons in our lives.

The way we handle things can be very telling.

Fear, anger, anxiety, and worrying are emotions we may experience during times of difficulty.

How do we behave during seasons of plenty, or seasons of peace and tranquility?

Are we content? Do we display God’s peace?

How about our walk with God? Is it consistent and stable?

Or do we fail to continue pressing into Him during times of ease and abundance, saving that only for times of need and desperation?

The answers to all these questions will show us our strengths and our weaknesses.

As we use these questions to “check ourselves,” we must be careful not to let what we see cause us to despair, or to glory in ourselves, but to show us where we need to build our muscles, and where we need to give God the glory and honor.

Our goal should never be to become a “superstar believer,” but to grow and mature in Christ that we might develop stability in God, walking in faith and humility no matter the circumstance.

So let us seek Him in prayer, elevate Him in every aspect of our lives, and follow the examples of Christ as He walked among us and demonstrated love, mercy, hope, compassion, and stability in God.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-13-25

Philippians 4:7 (NKJV) 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When we start to feel like we don’t get excited about worldly things, it’s not because there is something wrong with us

It’s because we have reached a point in our walk where we are content and no longer in need of worldly things to keep us happy.

What brings excitement at this new place now is learning and growing in God!

I have felt bad a few times recently when I realized I wasn’t getting excited about some things in my life that were good.

I was wondering if there was something wrong with me! I was wondering if I was being ungrateful.

I wondered what was happening. Years ago I would have gotten so excited about what had just taken place.

Don’t get me wrong. I am in no way saying I don’t enjoy nice things, I love it! It’s just that I’m not striving for things anymore.

These things don’t make me or break me based on whether they happen or not.

My emotions or excitement levels don’t change because I got blessed. They are now stable and fixed on God.

He has brought me to a place in my walk where I have such a peace in just being near Him, or being in the place He wants me.

All I desire and look forward to is growing closer and  going deeper in my relationship with God.

What excites me now isn’t getting worldly things, but His peace that surpasses all understanding moving in me! That’s pure excitement, and it brings stability that guides my emotions.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-22-22

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV) 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

If we are going through a time or season of change, and we are not sure what the outcome is going to look like, just remember the words above and keep our eyes on God.

Have faith that He will help us each day and it will come about accordingly, in His time.

If we continue to try and find peace in anything other than Him, we will exhaust ourselves and miss out on a lot of wonderful things.

It’s in Him, who makes it all beautiful, that we will find perfect peace. We will find stability once again when we trust Him with the change we’re facing.

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) 3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Growing up, I found peace and stability in my home, my family, my friends and my surroundings. But, guess what!

There comes a day when that changes. And then what?

I have tried to find it over and over again in things and people, only to learn that I would be looking forever.

Why? Because nothing ever stays the same. Even the things I found stability in would change again eventually.

Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

There’s only One who is the same yesterday, today and always. That is my Lord God!

It is in Him where we will find everything beautiful, stable, loving, and fulfilling. Amen.

If you are searching for peace in your life once again, learn to secure it in Him alone. Everything changes from time to time and if we don’t change with it, we will be stuck in a rut and missing out on the beauty of life through Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-18-18

Psalm 33:16 (NKJV) 16 No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

We can put our trust in many things, but they will not be what saves us from our troubles.

How many of us have put our trust in our jobs to bring us a life of comfort, a life of stability and material blessings?

How is that working for us? Are we getting the things that we long so badly for? Is it bringing us comfort? Will our current position at work even last?

We don’t know for sure. But, we still trust that it will. We have nothing to prove that it will last even until tomorrow. But we live like it will last forever.

This is the wrong way for us to be thinking. This kind of thinking is why men do not look to or lean on God as much as we ought to.

We are deceived in thinking we have it all wrapped up, all under control. We think we know what we are doing, but at any given moment things can change, and where are we left?

Some people will be mad at God when this happens. Some will keep trying on their own to get ahead. And some will just give up on life. And that is exactly what the devil wants. He deceives us in our thinking and then leaves us to drown in our own sorrow, worry and fear.

We want to share with you today the way God has called us all to think.

He doesn’t want us to put our trust in anyone or anything else but Him. If we give Him our lives, He will help us get the stability that we all long for; a life where we can enjoy each day. Even if trials come, we know that God has our back.

You see, life should not be as hard as we tend to make it.

Yes, we will have trials. But if our trust is in knowing that God will help us through everything, and we follow His steps, we will find ourselves rejoicing in the good things that He will open our eyes to see even at times when we can’t see past our problems.

Rejoicing? In hard times? Yes! With God, even through the hardest of times, we will find joy!

How do we get to this place of living this way? One step, one experience at a time.

Let’s start today by trusting Him with this day. Get up out of bed and look in the mirror. Speak to ourselves and say, “Today, we are going to listen to the Holy Spirit. When He speaks, we say, “yes”.

Then we do whatever it may be that he asks us to do, to the best of our ability. It could be just little promptings here and there throughout the day, to not do something that we normally do.

It could be someone who needs something and they ask us to help. It could be to take a different route to work, school or even to drop off the kids. It could simply be Him telling us to be still and quiet today, not say as much. Or maybe to take a rest.

He may or may not show us right away why He is asking us to do certain things. But that’s OK.

We need to trust that He has a good reason for why He says what He says to do.

He will teach us how to hear Him and to obey, even in the littlest things. Wait and trust Him for His way and promptings.

Psalm 33:20-21(NKJV) 20 Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-3-18

Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

He doesn’t change. Isn’t that nice to know?

We go through different things all the time. Our situations change.

We have good seasons, great seasons, and just OK seasons. And sometimes we have not-so-good seasons. But, there is Someone who never changes!

That means we can count on Jesus Christ, knowing that no matter what changes in our life, we can run to the ONE who is our stability.

We can’t trust that our career, our bank account, or our family will keep us stable. It might seem so right now, but situations can change in a heartbeat. And, most times we really have no control over it.

The great news is that stability comes in our lives when we wholeheartedly, 100 percent, put all our trust in Christ for everything. Amen.

Are you sad or disappointed today because things didn’t go the way you thought they should? Well, it’s not over yet. Put your trust in Christ and let Him take you to where you need to be.

He is all we need to help us live life and live it more abundantly!!

John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-17-17

Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

We live in a world that seems to have gone crazy in recent years.

Chaos is rampant around the globe. Economies are failing. Governments are crumbling.

Persecution against followers of Christ is running rampant. Some are even paying the ultimate price for their faith as terrorists and extremists seek to destroy anyone who doesn’t bow to their false gods.

Even on a more personal level, many people are experiencing things in their lives that are trying to crush their faith or bring them to their knees. It might not necessarily be related to mass persecution, but these things can definitely cause us to lose our faith if we take our eyes off of God even for a few seconds.

But amidst all the chaos and confusion, there is Someone who remains steadfast and solid. And that Someone is our Savior, Jesus Christ.

He has always been, still is and will always be the Rock that our faith is built upon. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

And as long as our faith is in Him, not in people or organizations, we will be assured of our eternal destiny, no matter what things around us look like.

Matthew 7:24-25 (NKJV) 24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

Build your house on the Rock. He will never, ever fail us.
