Bible Verse of The Day – 11-14-13

1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV) But as it is written:”eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

There are times when I get so frustrated with the things of this world.

Whether it’s corrupt government, ridiculous taxes, human ignorance, human wickedness, corruption and idolatry in the church or anything else that we could all think of. Some days just seem like the bad outweighs the good by such a huge margin. It makes it truly hard to keep our attitude right and keep our eyes on the good things.

But I always have a knowing deep down inside that none of what we do for God while we’re on this earth is in vain. And this is one of those verses that just drives that point home.

No matter what we have to battle here and no matter how hard it can sometimes seem or how frustrating it can get dealing with human bureaucracy, know-it-all spirits or outright miserable people, nobody can ever take away the promises of God.

And he has promised us that no eye has seen and no ear has heard, and no human mind has ever even imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love Him.

And for me, that’s enough.

Press into Him, people of God. And never stop looking upward or moving forward in His name.

Amen

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-12-13

(Revelation 3:11 NKJV)  “Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown”.

Hold fast to what you have.

We have been given much. We have life in Christ. We have forgiveness from our sins and we have been given the promise of eternal life.

The world and the evil forces around us will do anything to take our crown. Evil forces are on the move in more ways than we realize and their goal is to strip us of all we have been given.

They want to take our freedom.

It’s up to us to protect it. How do we do this?

We grow in God. We draw close to Him and we cling to every word He speaks to us, knowing that He is our source of life. We let Him sharpen our discernment and teach us how to be alert.

The world is changing quickly. Religious freedoms are being stripped away with each day that passes by. As believers we can’t sit idly by and let the enemy of our soul trample over us.

Church, we need to be sharp and diligent. We need to watch for wolves in sheep’s clothing, for they are all around us.

This is not to scare you, but it is a warning for us all! Hold fast to your crown and cling to the source of life. In the name of Jesus!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-17-12

(Heb 12:1 NKJV)  Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…

Are you struggling with keeping your faith strong? Are the things of this world pulling on you and trying with all their might to break down your trust in God?

The race that we run is not a short one. It is life-long. This race lasts for all the days of our lives and we need to run it well.

The battles can make us weary, feeling like we can’t make it through another day of trials. But hold fast to your faith and your hope.

God has made a way for us to persevere and have victory, if we don’t faint and we don’t give up!

If you’re feeling weak, press into God. Immerse yourself in His word and pull your strength from Him. His resources are unlimited and His well will never run dry.

In the name of Jesus, don’t let your life be another example of a spiritual life sucked dry by the cares, worries and sins of this world.

Make a commitment to grow and strengthen your faith each day, not to let it shrink and fade.

People of God, stand strong!
