Bible Verse of The Day – 5-9-19

James 4:10 (NKJV) 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

As I leaned over the hospital bed to hold my brother, I heard these words whispered in my ear, ”I’m so close to death right now”.

All I could say was, “I know”.

I held him in my arms, knowing that the alcoholism was either going to take him soon or there would come a miracle that would save his life. I reached a point in my heart where I said,” let it be, Lord. Let it be.”

A miracle came, and he is alive almost 3 years later.

At an earlier time, I was also at the hospital. This time I was with my dad, as he laid in the bed getting ready for heart surgery, at 80 years of age.

I thought, “my God, help me hold it together for my Mom and the rest of the family”. My knees were weak and I myself needed someone to lean on. God held me up and kept me strong.

Being an older man, it was a risky surgery. I didn’t know if he would come out alive or not. Only time would tell. Once again, I found myself saying within my heart, “let it be, Lord. Let it be”.

He came through that surgery. They gave him a short time to heal from it, and then came another surgery to repair a clogged carotid artery. A short time later, he had a third surgery to remove cancer. It was hitting all at once.

And he would say, “I’m weak as a kitten”. Again, my heart cried out, “Lord, let it be. Let it be.”

A miracle came. My Dad is alive today, at 84 years of age.

Yet another time, I was laying on my livingroom floor, bawling like a baby.

Our own situation at that time was so heavy on my heart. I didn’t know what to do or to think.

I looked to the left of me, and kneeling beside me was an image like Jesus. He had a gentle smile and I clearly heard, “It’s going to be alright. Everything is going to be alright”.

That was it. There was nothing telling me how it was going to be alright. No direction as to what to do. Nothing. That was it in a nutshell.

But that was my answer and I believed God. I held onto that word with my life. And today, more than 5 years later, I can say everything is ALRIGHT!

It was another miracle right before my eyes.

God is willing to do His part and move on our behalf. Are we willing to humble our hearts and reach that point where we can honestly say,” let it be, Lord. Let it be!”?

Let Him do what He knows is best, and be alright with His decision for us or for someone else that is in the battle of life or death, loss or gain, etc.

Let it be, Lord. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-8-19

Exodus 32:24 (NKJV) 24 And I said to them, ‘Whoever has any gold, let them break it off.’ So they gave it to me, and I cast it into the fire, and this calf came out.”

As Moses spent time on the mountain, speaking with God, Aaron stayed behind with the Israelites. As they waited for Moses to return, they grew impatient.

They began to make demands of Aaron. They no longer wanted to wait. And they quickly forgot God, despite the fact that He had led them out of slavery in Egypt.

As they pressed Aaron, he finally gave in to them and told them to give him all of their gold jewelry. Aaron melted the jewelry and crafted a gold calf, placing it before them so they could worship it.

Exodus 32:4 (NKJV) 4 And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”

But did you notice what Aaron told Moses when he asked about the calf? He literally told Moses that “a calf came out”!

Aaron refused to accept responsibility for his poor choice. Instead, he played innocent, hoping he would not be held accountable for his behavior.

What do we do when we are faced with our poor choices and mistakes? Do we pass the blame, or do we own up and accept responsibility for what we’ve done?

It’s important that we own up to the things we do if we want to experience God’s forgiveness and mercy. After all, He can’t forgive us for something that we “didn’t do”.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-7-19

Deuteronomy 28:13 (NKJV) 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

Being the head and not the tail is going to take some changes for some of us in the way we do things.

The very first thing most of us will need to do is to change the way we think regarding our lives.

When we become God’s children through Jesus Christ’s provision, we are no longer our own. We are now His Child. And if we follow His commandments, we will be above and not beneath.

Debt is a major problem in many Christian’s lives today. Being in debt will keep us as the tail, and beneath where God would have us to be. Our finances need to be freed up.

What do we do? We need to know that where we are at right now can and will be changed if we listen to what God is asking us to do.

We begin today by taking a step in our heart and speaking two words; “No more.”

No more borrowing.

No more buying things we can’t afford.

No more expensive trips.

No more frivolous spending.

No more spending money on things we don’t need, even if they are on sale or clearance.

Time to pull those reins in on unnecessary spending. For some it will be just a few minor changes. For others it may be a little harder and more discipline will be required.

And yet, for others it may be a drastic change, pulling back almost to a stopping point and really digging in to reach that place where we can breathe a little again.

If we are at a place where we are way behind on our bills and we have done everything we can, it may be time to reach out for help.

Sometimes we have to get help in ways that we would never have imagined.

Don’t be ashamed. Most countries have programs in place that can help if our debt gets out of control and we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Get whatever help is needed, as God directs us. We have to stop waiting for it to fall from the sky. Our help will not just mysteriously appear. But it will come through steps of humility, obedience and discipline on our part.

Don’t stay a slave to debt, dealing with torment, stress, and pressure all the time. Owe no man anything but love. Amen.

Romans 13:8 (NKJV) 8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

We can promise that you will feel better as the head and not the tail, above and not always beneath. You can do this.

Call us if you need prayer. Or simply reply to this email if you prefer to write to us, and we will stand in agreement for God’s will to be done in your situation, that you will know the steps to take and you will have what it takes to do it.

May God go before you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-6-19

Exodus 33:11 (NKJV) 11 So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.

Moses had a special relationship with God.

God had chosen him to lead His people out of slavery in Egypt. Moses could have refused to do it. But he didn’t. He chose to do what God was asking him to do.

Even beyond that, Moses grew this special relationship to go even deeper than most everyone else we read about.

And God did some special things for Moses, too. He met with Moses. He talked with him. And He even chose to show Himself to Moses. But He told Moses that he could not see His face, since no man can see God’s face and live.

Exodus 33:20 (NKJV) 20 But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.”

God even told Moses where to stand when he passed by, so He could cover him with His hand to protect Him.

Exodus 33:22 (NKJV) 22 So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.

Some of us may look at this and wonder why Moses had such a special relationship with God. Well, to be honest, he put the effort forth, and he reaped from that effort.

But it’s important that we remember that even though Moses had this kind of relationship with God, he wasn’t treated any differently by God than you or I.

God still held Moses to certain levels of accountability. And when Moses didn’t live up to those expectations, he was disciplined by God for it.

Moses had disobeyed God at one point, so God told him that because of his disobedience, Moses would not be allowed to enter into the promised land.

Deuteronomy 32:52 (NKJV) 52 Yet you shall see the land before you, though you shall not go there, into the land which I am giving to the children of Israel.”

You see, God is not partial. He shows no favoritism with any of us.

Romans 2:11 (NLT) 11 For God does not show favoritism.

God is God. He is holy and pure in every aspect. He will treat you and I the very same way He treated Moses. And our relationship with Him will be as strong as we make it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-5-19 – Growing Strong Faith – Part 3

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Strong faith is a popular topic these days. We hear about faith in many places, even outside of the church.

No matter how we look at it, faith seems to be important to a lot of people.

Faith is obviously important in our walk with God. But how do we view faith? What does it mean to us to have strong faith?

In today’s video, Growing Strong Faith – Part 3, we conclude our series with a discussion on why some people have such strong faith.

We cover a lot of interesting discussion on this aspect of our faith as we wrap this one up.

We do hope you’ll take the time to watch this one.

Enjoy your day.

Sincerely in Christ,

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-4-19

Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

What does His word do? It reveals to us the things we need to change In ourselves to better our relationship with Him, and to walk the walk He has for us.

The word of God is alive. That means it will meet us where we are at in this very hour.

He will be with us during the season we are in and His word will hit that very area in us that needs to be either built up, broken down and/or corrected.

It is powerful, carrying such a simple but very profound message, and it speaks truth to every situation we are facing.

It will take us from being flat on our backs, into a bold, confident and victorious walk with Almighty God Himself.

The word of God will get into those areas that we may want to hide and never deal with. That may sound scary to some of us that want to never remember some things that have happened throughout our life.

But we can assure you that if God is touching us in that area, it’s time to deal with it. It’s time to remember. It’s time to talk it out, cry it out, and get it out.

God brings healing, restoration and the joy of His salvation to our souls. What a beautiful Father! Amen.

Psalm 51:12 (NKJV) 12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-3-19

Luke 15:18 (NKJV) 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,

Many, many people are running from God.

Why?

Because they have done things that they are ashamed of and have been convinced by the enemy that God no longer wants them. He has whispered in their ears that their sin is too big for God.

So, they have thrown their hands up, walked away and abandoned their faith. Not because they no longer believe, but because they have given up on themselves.

This is exactly what the enemy wants. He wants us to give up and turn away, abandoning our faith in God and His mercy… His willingness to forgive us.

But we are here to tell you today, right now, that the words you have listened to are lies, straight from hell.

There is no sin too big for God to handle. Our sin isn’t going to shock God and knock Him off His throne. There’s nothing that He hasn’t already seen.

He already knows what we’ve done. He’s just waiting for us to go to Him and genuinely repent. We can’t let our pride or the enemy keep us from doing just that.

It’s time to stop running from God, turn around and run to Him.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-2-19

Hebrews 4:13 (NKJV) 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

I think it is safe to say that God sees us all. Every detail. Nothing we do or say is unnoticed.

With that in mind, what are we doing and saying? And are we taking notice of ourselves? Or are we just being nonchalant and unconcerned about everything?

All things are naked and open to the eyes of Him. We are an open book with Him.

Many Christians may think they have secrets. With God, though, our secrets are out in the open.

Do we feel like our whole world just came crumbling down, realizing that God knows about our secret? He has known about it all these years. Now is the time to confess it, receive forgiveness and get free from it for good.

God wants us to be real with Him and with those around us.

We understand this is a big step for some. I remember one day many years ago, a phone call came into our office. The woman on the other end was sobbing. She began to share her dilemma with me.

As she shared her story, crying and shouting at times, I said “God, what do I say to her?”. He very gently said , “share your story with her and the similar things you have experienced.”

I felt like saying, “but God, I buried that a long time ago. Why bring it up now?”. But I realized that our freedom from our past is not just for us to hold onto and keep it hidden.

We may have been freed from it and we may have been forgiven for things, but every now and then God says “let me use that testimony to help someone that is experiencing the same thing right now”. And we need to be ready.

God will continue to keep us humbled while using our “deliverance story” to help others.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-1-19

John 11:25-26 (NKJV) 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?

If there’s one thing that I have learned over the last several years that gives me incredible comfort, it is this: “He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live”.

Think about that. If you believe in Him, even if you die, you will live.

Because of what God has taught me over the years, I am not only unafraid of dying, but I have a peace that transcends human understanding, knowing that when it’s my time, I will simply transition from temporal, natural life to eternal life with my God.

No, I am not writing this because I am facing something that is likely to take my life soon. I am simply reflecting on what God has taught me, and I want to pass that along to you, with the hope that it might bring someone peace in their spirit and rest for their mind.

Death has no grip or hold whatsoever on a child of God.

1 Corinthians 15:54 (NKJV) 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

So, despite most people disliking the topic of death, it’s important that we understand that it has no grip on us whatsoever.

I don’t know who this message is for today, but receive it, in the name of Jesus, and let God bring rest to your heart and mind.

Victory is His! Amen
