Bible Verse of The Day – 11-8-25

Psalm 4:1 (NKJV) 1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

Are we praying and asking God to do things the way we have seen them done before?

Are we getting our answer? Or do we keep having to ask over and over again, and nothing is happening?

Maybe it’s time we stop telling God how to bring in our answer and ask God to bring the answer in the way He would like to, and in His timing.

If we want God’s will to be done in our situation, we must let Him answer us in the way He knows is best.

Trust Him in this.

I’ve learned that most times when we pray, we ask God to answer us in the way that we’ve seen Him answer in the past.

But God doesn’t always do things the same way. He is Creative!!

Give Him the freedom to answer our prayers the way He chooses. We will be astonished!

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-7-25

Psalm 46:1-2 (LSB) 1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains shake into the heart of the sea;

One thing we can be certain of in life is change. And with that change, trials often come with it.

But the other thing we can be certain of is that God is our refuge and strength; our help in times of trouble.

It’s interesting to note that the Hebrew word for trouble is literally translated as tight places.

When change brings trials or difficulties, we often feel like we are being squeezed; backed into a corner with no way of escape.

But equally important is the fact that “a very present help” literally means “abundantly available for help” in Hebrew.

It should be clear to us that despite facing trials and difficulties, God is present to walk us through them.

The verse above tells us that though the earth will change, and though the mountains shake into the seas, we will not fear.

Why?

Because we know that He is with us regardless of what we may face.

Let Him walk you through whatever difficulty or trial you are facing right now.

Amen 🙏

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-6-25

Galatians 5:16 (NKJV) 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

We must choose to walk in the Spirit. Not in the flesh.

Equate this to getting married. We make a commitment to live for God, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

This takes place when we surrender our flesh to Him. Over time, the Holy Spirit will help change our hearts, guide our steps, and chasten us when needed.

He will lead us in this walk when we become His children!

Romans 8:14 (NKJV) 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

We learn how to walk according to His word, and live the life that He has for us.

As we walk in the Spirit we will develop sharp discernment. We will hunger and thirst for righteousness, and Jesus says, we shall be filled!

Matthew 5:6 (NKJV) 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

Be filled today as we walk in the Spirit.

Amen 🙏

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-5-25

2 Corinthians 5:15 (LSB) 15 And He died for all, so that they who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.

If we are truly a follower of Christ, our lives should display evidence of this fact.

To genuinely follow Christ requires sacrifices on our part.

No, we don’t work for our salvation. But we do grow and mature as a believer.

If we are not growing and changing, we may want to check ourselves; ask if we have truly surrendered to Him, or if we just went through the motions and recited a prayer based on pressure or human emotion.

You see, even though salvation is freely offered to us, there is a cost.

It cost Jesus everything.

And though it is freely offered to us as a gift, it is implied that when we accept that gift, and we embrace it personally, it will genuinely change us.

And part of that change will be learning what it is that God asks of us.

Jesus addressed this topic plainly in this verse:

Luke 9:23 (NKJV) 23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Following Him requires that we deny ourselves; set aside our own wants and desires and allow God to teach us what it is that He desires.

This takes some adjustments on our part. And it may be difficult from time to time, especially when we are a new believer.

But as we begin to submit ourselves to Him, we learn the value of humility. Then surrendering becomes easier, and the discomfort first associated with it fades away as our submission turns into genuine love for the Father.

We encourage you today to submit to God in everything you do. And watch as He changes your heart, transforming your life each day, a little at a time.

James 4:10 (LSB) 10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-4-25

Ezekiel 1:3 (NKJV) 3 the word of the Lord came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was upon him there.

God still speaks to His children today.

Sometimes He does so through His word. Other times while in prayer, and also through dreams and visions.

The prophet Ezekiel heard and saw God through a vision, and His actual audible voice was heard.

The hand of the Lord, meaning God’s Spirit, came upon Ezekiel in a revelation. It was very strong and clear.

Ezekiel found himself for 7 days after the vision just overwhelmed and astonished as a result of his encounter with God.

Ezekiel 3:15 (NKJV) 15 Then I came to the captives at Tel Abib, who dwelt by the River Chebar; and I sat where they sat and remained there astonished among them seven days.

God explained things to Ezekiel in detail and He gave him specific instructions.

God will use us if we are willing to obey Him, and He will guide us in every step He has us take.

Sometimes His tasks are very uncomfortable. They can be difficult and beyond what we ever thought or wanted to do.

Isaiah 50:7 (NKJV) 7 “For the Lord God will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.

We must set our face like a flint, obey Him, and give Him 100% of our attention and focus!

Let the hand of the Lord come upon you. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-3-25

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Many followers of Christ know the truth of this verse but still fail to convince their minds that it’s true.

We spend far too many hours each week trying to win God’s blessing.

We strive for the acceptance of the people around us.

All this to get their seal of approval on our lives.

First, we must understand that the approval of people means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Most importantly, though, we never need to work for God’s love, His approval, or His grace.

It’s funny how we learn this, and we acknowledge it outwardly, but we can never seem to full convince ourselves fully that we cannot earn our way into God’s heart or His favor.

His grace is undeserved. Period. End of story.

How do we define grace? Some may call it unmerited favor; kindness that is undeserved and unattainable by working for it.

The most important thing for us to remember is that this grace is given at no cost to us; no work whatsoever is required on our part. This eliminates any chance that we may boast about how much we did to earn our salvation.

Being reminded of this should help keep us from trying to win God’s approval or “earn bonus points” with God.

He shows no favoritism.

Romans 2:11 (NKJV) 11 For there is no partiality with God.

So, our efforts should be directed toward living righteously, in ways that reflect God’s holiness, to bring glory and honor to Him.

But never should we think or feel that we must earn His love, His favor, or His redemption.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-1-25

John 8:36 (NKJV) 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Christ has made us free!

Now, if a bird is set free from its cage, it is free. If this same bird decides to go back to that cage, and someone comes and closes that door behind him, is he still free?

Of course not.

This is the same as if Christ makes us free and we return to our place of bondage, or our cage, and the devil comes and shut us in; we put ourselves right back where we were before.

Are we free in that cage? Some may say yes, we are! Once free always free. I would not want to be wrong about this on judgement day, would you?

It’s up to us to stand fast in our freedom, by not going back to the bondage/cage we were once in. Let us be sure in our decisions and not play with eternity.

The Word says, we must resist the devil before he will flee. In other words, he is not just going to lay down and die, so to speak, and let us live an easy life. He’s fighting to take our lives. He wants us dead, with no eternity and no life with Jesus.

James 4:7 (NKJV) 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Resist is a verb here. We have to take action. That’s right; no one can do it for us. We have to walk away from it!

Don’t go back to the place that we have been set free from. Cry out to God for help. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

God, help us to walk in the freedom You have given us, that our souls may live with You in heaven for eternity!
