Bible Verse of The Day – 8-24-13

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV) For we walk by faith, not by sight.

We do not walk our walk by what we see. We walk our walk by faith in the unseen.

Every step that we take in our walk as a child of God, the Most High King, we take in faith.

When we lift our foot and move it forward, we step believing that when we put our foot down, the ground will be held up by God, our Father.

It is a hard thing sometimes… this faith walk. Our mind can play games with us, trying to trick us into believing only what we can see. But it’s faith that pleases God. So let’s keep pushing forward, even when we can’t see what’s next!

There are many of us today who are pushing so hard… we’re fighting to keep our faith intact. We’ve been hit very hard this year and sometimes it feels like we can’t even catch our next breath.

But God is bigger than our problems. We are bigger than our problems, even if we don’t feel like we are.

We have Christ in us. And in Christ, we are overcomers… more than conquerors. So we should never, ever give up and walk away.

Rise up today, in the name of Jesus, and shake off your fear, your slumber and your doubts. And do whatever it takes to take a step forward. And don’t ever, ever look back.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Hold your head high and be blessed in all you do.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-8-12

(Isa 41:10 NKJV)  Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

God’s Word this today is speaking to each one of us that is walking in fear. If we have fear, then it’s impossible to have faith. If we let fear take over our hearts and minds, it will consume us. It is a huge distraction. It will cause us to not want to speak when we are prompted by God to speak. It will keep us from being a light to those around us.

Today let’s check ourselves ask God if we are afraid of anything. If we realize that we have been afraid of certain things, ask God to give us understanding and wisdom on how to overcome this fear that we may be having.

Let us pray together.

Dear God in Heaven,

I come to You this day and have realized that I have been walking in fear regarding…………..(tell Him what your fears are). I want to ask you today to help me overcome this fear. Right now. I  repent of being fearful at times and I command this fear to leave me, in Jesus’ name. I ask that You help me to walk in Your peace and by faith, knowing that You are going to take care of all my concerns as I put my trust in YOU!!

Lord thank You for Your peace that surpasses all understanding and may I walk each day by Faith and help others to know of Your faithfulness.

I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen

We are in agreement with you today that you are going to walk by faith and not fear, and if the temptation of fear comes your way, rebuke it in Jesus’ name.

Know that God will uphold you!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-24-12

(Mat 10:36 NKJV)  “and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’

Are we going through family turmoil in our homes, within our church family, or in our work place, etc.? Well, don’t let it take you by surprise. God’s Word shows us that we don’t have to look very far to find enemies; they can be right in our own backyard.

It’s very hard when we have family members, close friends or co-workers that cause trouble for us, simply because they don’t agree with who we have chosen to be in Christ or how we choose to handle things.

It’s possible they are just plain jealous because good things are happening in our lives and they can’t handle it. But we can’t let them stop us from doing what is right and being all that Christ calls us to be.

We have to be alert, stand our ground, be who God has called us to be, and keep moving forward with love!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-11-12

(John 8:44 NKJV)  “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

The devil is the father of lies. There is no truth in him… only lies and deception.

He will lie to any one of us at any time in order to deceive us and lure us into his trap, or to get us to doubt God’s word.

Doubt is the exact opposite of faith, so if he can get us to doubt, will try to get us to go one step further and fall into temptation and sin.

Don’t believe the father of lies when he whispers in your ear. Don’t give him one inch of ground in your life!

(James 4:7b NKJV)  …Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

It’s not always easy to resist temptation, but the best thing we can do is turn and walk away from it and honor God by doing so.

The devil can only have what we give to him, nothing more and nothing less. So the next time he tries to plant seeds of doubt in your heart, tell him to get behind you, in the name of Jesus.

Put your foot on his neck, step down hard and keep it there!
