Bible Verse of The Day – 3-22-12

(Phil 4:11-12 NKJV) Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: {12} I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Paul was content whether he was doing well or not so well. But nevertheless He knew that God would come through and deliver him at all times. He knew that His life was with God no matter what happened to Him and that was all He needed.

We are a child of the Almighty God! He is our Father. He cares about us, He loves us dearly and He wants the best for us!

Believe Him for that new job, new car, bigger pay increase, to be able to stay home with your children, to deliver your teen from bad influences, to give you a child you’ve been waiting for, to restore your broken marriage, to heal you and to bring on the breakthrough that you need.

Love Him today with all your heart and sing to Him. Talk to Him…tell Him how wonderful He is and thank Him for taking good care of you.

We can be content in HIM… He is all we need!

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-19-12

(1 Cor 15:57 NKJV)  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Be encouraged today. Know that no matter what you’re going through, there will be victory!

We don’t always know how or when the victory will come, but it will come.

We don’t always know what that victory will look like, but God will give us victory.

If you’re going through a trial or a struggle today, we call forth the victory in the name of Jesus!

Lift up your head and look to the One who gives life. He is our sustainer, our provider and our redeemer. There is nothing too big for Him to handle.

No matter what’s standing in front of you right now and no matter how difficult your circumstances are right now, stand knowing that God has the final word.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-17-12

(1 Pet 2:15 NKJV)  For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men…

If we put God first in our daily walk we may find days when will have to sacrifice the things we want to do in order to do the things He wants us to do.

At first it may be really challenging, but as we continue it will get better and after a while we won’t even think much about it; it will come naturally.

Knowing how to do good comes from reading God’s Word and being taught right from wrong. Then, we take the steps and apply them to our everyday situations.

Sometimes we may not know the right thing to do at the moment some situations occur. Always wait on God, He will never steer us wrong.

God is a Good God!!

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-10-12

(Gen 16:2 NKJV)  So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

I suppose at the time that Sarai told Abraham this, she thought it was a good idea… a good way to either help God out or to make up for what she saw was God’s lack of action.

Have we ever done something like this? Have we ever gotten impatient with God and His timing and done something on our own because we just thought we needed to take care of it ourselves?

I can guarantee you that any time we’ve fallen into this trap and done things ourselves, instead of waiting on God when He has told us to wait, we’ve wound up in more trouble than we were in to start with.

Sometimes it can be hard to discern the voice of God and understand His timing completely, but as we draw closer to Him and begin to understand Him better, we’re less likely to make the same kind of mistake that Sarai made. And believe it or not, the entire civilization of the world is still paying for Sarai’s mistake, even today.

Let’s wait on God’s timing and learn how to make good decisions!

Your Daily Bible Verse – 3-3-12

(Luke 1:38 NKJV)  Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

In the verse above, one of God’s angels had come to Mary to tell her that she was chosen to be the mother of God’s son. Mary received this word and accepted the assignment that God had for her.

Sometimes when God reveals things to us, it can be a little tough to swallow, even when it’s not necessarily a bad thing. I remember very clearly when God revealed to us that he was calling us to be pastors, we cried our eyes out. I remember thinking “no God, anything but pastors”!

As it turned out, the calling didn’t happen overnight and God took the time to prepare us for what He was asking us to do. And by the time it actually happened a few years later, we were pretty settled with it.

The thing is, we have a choice as to whether we want to accept God’s path for our life or choose our own path. Sometimes it looks easier to choose our own path because we think it requires less effort and less commitment. But in reality, if God chooses to use us for a specific task, He will prepare us and shape us for that task.

It’s not always easy, but it’s sure to be easier than any path we choose ourselves.

Your Daily Bible Verse – 2-29-12

(Mat 19:26 NKJV)  But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

How many of us are facing something today that man says is impossible to overcome?

Have you lost your job? Has someone you love betrayed you? Are you seeking healing for an affliction? Is there something in your life that you just can’t seem to overcome, no matter how hard you try?

Is it alcohol, drugs, lust, pornography, cigarettes, weightloss? None of these things is too big for God. Seriously.

We may face many, many obstacles in life and some of them may seem too big to overcome. And this might be true with man.

But with God, nothing is impossible. He is the God of making the impossible, possible!

I know this may seem like something that’s easier to say than to do, but sometimes we need to really stretch ourselves and BELIEVE that God can do what He says He can do.

Sometimes all we need to do is put forth the effort and believe God for the results. Other times, we just need to trust God 110% and let Him take care of it.

Listen for His voice and hear what He has to say about your situation, your dilemma or your trial.

With God all things are possible.

Your Daily Bible Verse – 2-28-12

(1 Cor 1:9 NKJV)  God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

God is FAITHFUL!

Last week, I had a scare! My grandson, age 4 yrs. old, fell down a whole flight of wooden basement stairs, about 13 of them. He had his blanket over his head and was walking around and took a wrong turn. The extent of his injuries was just a few bumps and bruises on his legs, the areas where he was not covered by his blanket. Do you know not one bump on His head or face? Wherever that blanket covered him, he was untouched.

I believe that is the way it is with the blood of Jesus, God’s covering for us. Whatever part of us we give to Jesus, we are covered!  Whether we give him our finances, our emotions, our jobs, our kids and even our spouses, etc.

We give it to Jesus and ask for His help and protection and He will keep whatever part we give Him safe as we trust Him with it and follow His directions.  We’re not saying we won’t ever have to go through tough times, His word tells us that tribulations do come… (John 16:33 NKJV)  “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Things do happen. What we’re saying is those things we lay down and trust Him with, He will take care of.

Plead the Blood of Jesus over all that He has blessed you with today and be free…no more bumps and bruises!

Your Daily Bible Verse – 2-23-12

(Jer 1:5 NKJV) “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

God does prepare. He prepared Jeremiah; He formed, He sanctified, and He ordained him.

We may feel that God wants to use us to do something big, but we talk ourselves out of it, thinking that we aren’t good enough or that we don’t have what it takes to do the job. Look at Noah; God gave Him clear-cut directions when he was called to build the Ark. (Gen 6:14-21 NKJV)  If God gives us something to do, He will make sure we have what it takes to do the job. We just have to follow His commands.

Moses was kind of funny when God asked him to go and free his children of Israel out of the hands of the Egyptians. He tried to get out of it by saying he couldn’t speak well. (Exo 4:10 NKJV) Then Moses said to the LORD, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”

But, God didn’t buy it. He had Moses bring his brother Aaron with him because Aaron could speak well. Nevertheless, Moses still went on to do as God commanded him to do.

Know that if God is calling you into something that He will prepare you. Take a step of faith today and say yes to Him. He will train you and prepare you. He will help you as you lean on Him for direction. As you trust Him, He will guide you. He will not leave us to do it on our own, but He will be right there every step of the way.

You may already be in a place that God wants to use you to help someone get free. Don’t run from it, but press in and pursue God’s plan.

(Psa 57:5 NKJV)  Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth.

What an AWESOME God He is!

We can testify today of His goodness. We may be in a storm, but in that storm God can bring peace! There may be a war, but in that war God can bring Victory! We may have tribulations but God will bring us through to the other side!

Oh worship Him today for He is Good!

Your Daily Bible Verse – 2-18-12

(Psa 102:1-2 NKJV) Hear my prayer, O LORD, And let my cry come to You. {2} Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; Incline Your ear to me; In the day that I call, answer me speedily.

Oh, how I long for God to answer me quickly at times. Sometimes I feel like He’s left me all alone to fend for myself. But, not too long after I get through my pity party and my waah, waaahs it seems I get my breakthrough and boy do I feel silly. How could I ever think that God, my Jehovah, Alpha & Omega, who loves me so and tells me to cast my cares on Him, would leave me stranded?

God hears our cry and He is faithful to answer us always, in the right time. We just have to believe Him and not doubt.

It’s OK to ask Him to move speedily. Sometimes we need Him to move fast; we realize the urgency in the matter and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Wait on Him if it takes a little longer then we expected it to. He knows how much time He has and He is faithful to deliver. Don’t jump ahead of Him, stay right there with Him and let Him lead!!

Breakthroughs are coming as we wait on Him!

Your Daily Bible Verse – 2-15-12

(Gen 37:10-11 NKJV) So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?” {11} And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

I felt bad for Joseph as I read this. He was probably so excited to have such a dream, only to get rebuked by his dad. And his brothers envied him for it.

I don’t think that was the response that he was expecting to get. If only he’d known, he might not have told anyone. How many of us today have gotten this response to something good that God wanted to do in our lives?

God has things for us to do sometimes and others may not understand it and they may react out of envy and jealousy. Some may not want anything to do with us and they may turn their backs on us.

It hurts. I’m sure there were times when Joseph hurt because of what his brothers did to him. But nevertheless, God was with Joseph all of his days.

There may be days when we feel we are walking alone. Always remember God will never leave us. He will always be there for us. We are not alone. Don’t give up on what God has called you to do!!
